Chapter 53
I felt two hands grip my arms and I was forcefully turned to face Taehyung. He then held my head in both his hands.
“Picture out your room, quick,” Taehyung told me. I instantly realized that he was going to teleport me away from them. I wasn’t sure where my room was in hell, so I decided to go back to the previous room we were all in, just before we teleported ourselves to the feast hall.
I shut my eyes closed and ignored the quick throbbing of my heart against my chest. I focused and pictured out the bedroom, remembering every inch and detail of it in hopes of helping Taehyung teleport me there. It was in these moments that I should have wished for dad to have taught me magic. I could have helped my siblings.
Just when I felt that tingling sensation slowly trail up to my head, I gasped as I felt a sudden tug around my neck and my eyes flew open, instantly feeling a clothed arm around my neck and the feel of someone’s chest against my back.
“Lilly!” Taehyung exclaimed. All eyes were on us now. I looked around, and the two girls were still on the ground, trying to see through their pitch-black sockets while Yoongi was in the middle of a fist fight with the curly-headed vampire. Irene had the sole of her boot pressed against the other male vampire’s head, his red eyes showing a look of fear. I then quickly realized that Vito was the one holding me.
“Nobody moves!” He exclaimed as his grip on my chest tightened, just above my left breast, his hands digging deep against my skin, and I cried out in pain. “Unless you want to witness me rip her heart out.”
Taehyung had his hands up defensively, taking cautious steps closer towards us. “Vito, let her go. Now.”
“You wish.” The man replied above me. I’ve never felt so scared for my life. Here I was, being held captive by a vampire who had his long nails digging against my skin; ready to rip my heart out. One wrong move from anyone in the room that could trigger Vito and I’d be good as dead, even if I was considered immortal. Immortality would only exist if one would only live their life carefully without constantly brushing against death’s lips.
“Return my sisters’ eyesight and I won’t hurt your precious sister.” Vito told Irene. He then pointed at his struggling brother underneath the weight of Irene’s foot. “And let go of my brother.”
Irene only seethed as her nostrils flared, and I watched as her eyes glowed much redder as she added weight to her foot, the other vampire screaming in pain.
“You let go of my sister first!” Irene exclaimed. Vito dug his nails deeper against me that I felt the clothing rip, his nails digging deeper that I felt the sharpness rip my skin open. I cried out.
“Will you do as I say, or will you watch your sister’s heart being ripped out?” Vito threatened.
“Just do it Irene!” Yoongi exclaimed from the other side of the hall, the front of his shirt being pulled upwards by the curly-headed vampire as Yoongi surrendered and watched us instead. He knew that if he ended that vampire’s life, he’d have to witness Vito kill me as well.
It took a few more agonizing seconds for Irene to finally lift her foot away from the vampire’s skull, and I could see the frustration and rage in her eyes as she kept her glare on Vito. I then watched as she lifted a hand towards the two struggling female vampires, still keeping her gaze on Vito. Without uttering any spell from her lips, the two vampires breathed out in relief when their vision returned once again.
So much for being vampires; they couldn’t even handle a simple spell.
“Good girl!” Vito exclaimed as he retracted his hand back from my skin and I sighed quietly, the pain quickly dissipating but I could feel the blood already trickling out of the nail-sized holes he made on my chest.
“Beatrix, Adele, Klaus, Kaleb,” Vito called out to his siblings. “It’s time to go.”
Before any of us could process what was happening, I felt a pair of arms wrap underneath my legs and I was now being carried by the vampire bridal-style before he ran out of the feast hall in super-human speed that I could only hear the faint cries and calls of my siblings from the room.
Everything went dark after that.
