Chapter 11.
Alisons POV

The sun beams in warming my body as I wake alone in bed, I reach for Evan when I feel the emptiness to his side. I wonder where he is I think to myself as I stretch rolling around enjoying the bright rays shining down on me.

There’s a knock at the door and I giggle knowing it’s Valerie.
“Come in” I say happily as she comes prancing through the door with a plate of bacon and eggs and two forks.
“Good morning Luna!” She exclaims excitedly jumping on to my bed.
“I’m not your Luna yet.” I say with a smile as I grab a piece of bacon tossing it in to my mouth.

“Are we going to go through the books today?” She asks biting in to her toast with a loud crunch.
“Yeah, Evan hasn’t mentioned when he wants to hold the Luna ceremony yet, but I’d like to know as much about the pack as I can before he decides.” I answer grabbing another piece of bacon.

“Well he’ll probably hold it on the next full moon, it’s tradition for the Luna to be claimed by the pack on a full moon.” She states happily.
“See?” I say. “That’s something I should know.” She shrugs taking another bite. “You’ll learn, it takes time. You weren’t born in the pack so you weren’t raised as a wolf.” She says as my heart begins to hurt, I never thought about it before but I can never shift with Evan I don’t even know what his wolf looks like.

Valerie gets up going to grab a few of the books reading the titles out as I dip my toast in the eggs, Valerie is surprisingly a really good cook. The pack house has chefs so I didn’t expect her to cook for herself so regularly let alone me aswell.

“Hey.” I pause. “Your mind link trick, how does that work?” I ask softly as my mind trails.
“Well I basically open the connection from what I’m seeing to the mind link.” She says still looking at the books.
“And the premonitions how do those work? Can you control them?” I ask curiously.

“I guess I could, I’m not sure I never tried.” She states calmly.
“They just kind of happen randomly.” She shrugs again.
“Do you think we could try?” I ask quietly hoping she doesn’t decline.
“What exactly do you want me to do?” She responds as she puts down her toast listening to me closely.

“Emily.” I say softly looking down to my hands.
“Alpha Evans is having issues trying to get her back, could you try to see her or what she might be doing?” I ask praying it’s possible.
“Hmm” She thinks for a moment.

“I guess I could try, do you have anything of hers?” She asks as I feel a huge smile cross my face. I stand running over to my dresser I pull out a bracelet Emily gave me when we were kids, it broke off the night I was taken so I haven’t been able to wear it. I hand it to Valerie.

“This is Emily’s she made it for me when we were kids” I say as she sits cross legged in front of me and I join her, she holds it in her hands and closes her eyes, I watch her for a few minutes.
“Do you see her?” I finally break the silence.

“No not yet I’m trying.” She responds and before I know it Valerie is leaning back screaming grabbing various parts of her body as if she’s in pain I wrap my arms around her pulling her too me.
“It’s ok Valerie, you’re ok. What do you see?” I ask as she grabs on to me trying to calm down. I feel her heart beat through her chest as she try’s to catch her breath breaking the connection to Emily.

“Valerie, Valerie what happened?” I ask aggressively trying to get her to answer while her breathing is still strained.
“She’s hurt.” She says grabbing her chest.
“Their hurting her.” She says as tears pour down her face and my heart shatters at her reaction.

“What did you see Valerie?” I ask again as she stutters to tell me.
“Alpha Romeo has left her for the pack.” She stops “He allows them to abuse her.” She sits still crying in to her hands.
“She has so many wounds covering her body I’ve never seen a wolf in such a shape let alone a human.” She says wiping the tears from her face.
“Alison we need to get her out of there” she states looking up at me and I couldn’t agree more.

“I know Valerie, Alpha Evans is trying. I think we should show him what you seen.” I say softly as she just nods her head still trying to stop her crying. Valerie and I knock on Evans office door.
“COME IN!” His loud voice beckons as we gently push the door open entering.

“Oh hello Alison, Valerie.” He greets us.
“Is their something you need?” He asks politely looking up at us.
“We have something we need to show you.” I say looking down to my hands as worry crosses his face.
“What is it.” He asks with concern as Valerie’s eyes gloss over and I know she’s showing him her vision, his face tightens in anger as Valerie struggles not to collapse.

“THAT BASTARD!” He shouts making Valerie and I both jump back.
“He has agreed to trade Emily for land but he won’t release her till the end of the week.” He says putting his head in his hands. “I need to make some phone calls.” He states as Valerie and I realize he wants us to leave.
“I’m going to the other Alphas, once Emily is in our pack we will be going after Alpha Romeo. He doesn’t deserve the title of Alpha if that’s how he’s is going to behave and treat his pack members.” He states as Valerie and I slip out while Evan still rants.

“Other Alpha’s?” I ask
“The higher up Alpha’s have formed a board of direction. If an Alpha feels a pack has lost their way or goes against wolf laws the matter can be brought to the board where the Alpha’s collectively decide on punishment.” Valerie states as we continue to walk back to my room. I think about what Valerie said, there’s so much I need to learn about the pack, time to hit the books I guess.

We begin skimming through all the books, Luna ceremony’s, pack history, list of past Alpha’s and their family trees, documents on issues handled by the board, banished and rogue wolves, by lunch time my brain hurts from reading and re reading trying to hold in all the information. A knock at the door breaks us from our focus.

“Come in.” I call as the door open and in walks a small older woman with a plate of sandwiches and two bowls of soup.
“I thought you may be hungry Luna, Valerie.” She nods to both of us.
“Thank you” I say nodding back as Valerie takes the food from her and she quickly leaves closing the door behind her. I fall back on to the bed as Valerie begins eating.
