Chapter 81.
Alison’s POV

Once in the house Valerie takes me to the basement, Evan had a safe room built down here when he had the house made for us. We sit in the safe room waiting for Evan, Valerie links back and forth with him to see whats happening in the fight.

“What is she doing?” Sloan asks confused as she watches Valerie jump in and out of trance.
“She’s mind linking with Evan, she’s a witch so the link is stronger and they can communicate better. Right now she’s watching whats going on through Evans eyes.” I say softly before realizing I don’t need to whisper in here.
“Oh yeah I heard that there were witches in your pack.” She answers as I ignore her tone.

“I’m going to call the neighbouring packs to send over a team, the one pack is only a few minutes away.” I say as sloan passes me a phone.
The moon light pack answers after a few rings, I quickly explain that we’re being attacked as I hear their Alpha yell for his men to get going.

Within a few moments we hear loud hits land on the house, I flinch as my stomach drops and I feel like I’m choking on my heart.
“They’re here.” Valerie says softly not opening her eyes.
“Who? The moon light pack?” I ask as she nods and her eyes fly open.

“She’s here too.” She says as I feel sick from her words.
“What?” I ask hoping I’m wrong.
“Who’s she?” Asks Sloan in confusion. Due to the beta tournament just ending we haven’t had a chance to catch Sloan and Clayton up on the rogue attacks.

“My mother.” Valerie answers standing up still in a trance as she goes to walk out of the safe room and Sloan grabs her hand pulling her to us breaking her from her zone.
“Stop!” You’re not going out there, our job is to protect Alison.” She says as Valerie silently nods and we all go quite waiting to see what happens.

If feels like an hour before Evan finally mind links to say that it’s safe for us to come up. Once we get upstairs we walk out on to the front porch as our mates come running over.
“Evan what happened?” I ask as he pants heavily sitting down on the steps.
“We were notified of a breach, we went to check it out as rogues poured in. They were strong and easily taking our men down, the medic centre is full and we will be sending some wolves over to the moonlight pack to be treated there.” Evan states as my face drops, how the hell did this happen.

“Honestly the only thing that turned the tables is when the moon light pack came in as back up, the rogues weren’t expecting a team to show up from behind.” He says looking over to Valerie, her face cold and still.

“She wants you.” Evan says coldly.
“She said she’s ready to meet but she wants you to come alone, she’ll send you a signal of where she wants you to find her.” Evan states as Valerie just stairs at him blankly in shock.

“Maybe we should take this to the office?” I say as we all agree and go upstairs to talk, we fill in Clayton and sloan to Valerie’s powers as well as her mother being a very powerful witch. They both sit there stunned as Evan and I speak, Valerie seems to be in her mind trying to come up with a plan.
“Holy! We knew there was something weird going on in this pack.” Clayton chuckles as Sloan elbows him.

“Ok so this witch, do we know what she wants?” Clayton asks looking over to Valerie as she still doesn’t move.
“All we know is that she’s come for Valerie but we’re still unsure of what she wants with her. Regardless she won’t be getting you.” I say stepping forward.

Valerie seems frozen in time and stuck, I walk over to her placing my hand on her shoulder as Parker walks in joining us. He walks over pulling Valerie in to a tight hug.
“We will get through this together, you have me and you have the pack.” He says softly to her as she breaks down and tears spill falling off her cheeks while he holds him closely to her.

Valerie clings to him in fear and its crazy to see her like this, she seems so powerless. I watch them, the love they share is amazing. I love seeing how the mate bond affects each couple, feeling the love they share warms me for a moment before forcing me to return to reality.

“Ok well I guess we wait for her to contact you.” Evan says looking over to Valerie.
“I will get a few teams together to follow and make sure she allows you to leave, try and find out why she keeps attacking the pack and what she wants.” Evan finishes as valerie nods.

“Alright then, I will go talk with the moon light pack an see if they’re able to send a team in too.” Evan says stepping out as Parker convinces valerie to join him to eat leaving Clayton Sloan and I alone together in the office.

I answer a bunch of their questions about valerie and the rogue attacks, I fill them in on Alpha Romeo’s pack and our alliance’s with surrounding packs as we spend the afternoon getting to know each other, I feel a sharp pain through my hips making me flinch as Sloan jumps.

“Are you ok Luna?” She asks with concern as Clayton just watches her closely.
“Yeah, doctor Blair said I’d get jolts of pain from stretching and such. I just didn’t think they would be this intense.” I say giggling as I rub the area the pain just shot through. After a little while Evan comes back in to get us.
“She’s contacted, she wants to meet out in the forest.” He says closing the door behind him.

“I have teams placed in the woods in maultiple areas, we’re heading out now.” He says looking to Clayton, he nods and I go to stand as he turns to me.
“You will stay here with Sloan you both will stay in the safe room until I come back. I’m not risking another trap.” He says as I nod in agreement and grab some work to bring to the safe room with me. I might as well move in there till these babies are out.
