Chapter 80.
Alison’s POV

I wake up the next morning feelig sick, rolling over I realize Evans already gone and his side of the bed is ice cold. I hear a light knock on my door and I groan not wanting to get up.
“Come in!” I yell assuming it’s Valerie.

Sloan comes in with a plate of bacon and eggs and my stomach turns aggressively as I choke back a gag.
“Hey Sloan, sorry I thought you were Valerie.” I say softly as she walks over to my bed setting my plate down.
“Oh Luna its ok, I thought we could spend some time together today and get to know eachother. If you’re not feeling well its ok we can do it another time.” She says softly as I reach for my glass taking a big drink.

“Oh, no no it will pass.” I say continuing to slowly sip on my water. I lay back in my bed and motion for her to sit, her beautiful long blond hair tied up in to a big bun on top of her head.
“Has the pregnancy been hard?” She asks looking to her hands.
“Its been a little rough, mostly just nausea.” I grab the plate and slowly try to eat.

“So do you want to tell me a bit about yourself? Your family? How you were raised?” I ask while trying to get my mind off being sick as she smiles sweetly.
“Well I grew up with both of my parents, and 4 siblings, all brothers.” She says as my eyes go wide.
“Holy! That would be a lot.” I say laughing as she continues.

“My father was the beta of the dark water pack, which my older brother took over a few years ago. My mother passed away when I was 16 and the rest of my brothers trained to be warriors, I on the other hand wanted to find my mate. That is until I found out you guys were looking for a beta.” She says smiling softly.

“I’ve heard about how Evan runs his pack, I honestly didn’t think I’d win but it was worth a shot. I’m really excited about living here in the pack and I’m really excited to get to know you and the Alpha.” She smiles softly looking down to play with her fingers.

I pick away at my food listening to her talk, she tells me about training with her brothers and what it was like growing up the only girl in the house. I tell her about how I was abandoned and taken in by Emily’s family, and we spend a good amount of time talking about her mother before we end up laughing and joking and there’s another knock at the door and I let them know to enter.

Valerie walks in and I smile to her, her eyes shoot between sloan and I as she stammers to talk.
“Oh sorry luna I didn’t know you had company.” She says softly glaring at sloan.
“It’s ok, come and sit.”’ I motion for her to join us as she walks to the closet.

“Actually you have a doctors appointment, I’m here to take you. I expected to see you already, when I didn’t I decided to come make sure you were ok.” Valerie states as I lean back and groan.
“I totally forgot I had to go in today, did Evan take Salem with him to training?” I ask standing up to go take a quick shower.

“I believe so, he was meeting Clayton today to teach him more about the pack.” Valerie says loudly over the noise of the shower.
“Ok, we’ll stop by and see them after Blair.” I say back quickly washing up as she places my clothes in the bathroom going back to sit on my bed and wait for me.

By the time I get out Valerie and sloan are laughing with each other, Valerie still seems un comfortable and I can’t quite tell why.
“Are we ready to go?” Valerie turns to ask me as I grab my flats.
“Yes, can we plan a day to go shopping soon? I think I’m going to need bigger clothes soon, I’m not even that far along and I feel bloated as hell.” I say laughing as we all walk out the door to go to the medic centre.

We walk in to see Emily at the front desk like normal.
“Oh hey Ali, I have everything set up in the Alpha wing ready for you. Blair will be in shortly.” She says handing my chart to Valerie as we walk back. She takes my blood pressure and urine sample as well as weight, when she’s done Blair is walking in and his cheerful aura fills the room.

“Good afternoon Luna!” He comes in pulling gloves on as Sloan and Valerie sit down on the chairs beside the exam tables.
“Are you ready to see your little beans?” He says with a big smile as I return it happily.
“Of coarse, I’d love to see the little beasts that are making me hurl everyday.” I say jokingly as Valerie laughs.

“You’re still sick?” He asks as I pull up my shirt for him to put the gel on.
“Yeah the nauseas pretty bad, I don’t puke as much but its hard to eat when I always feel like puking.” I answer as he nods moving the wand around on my belly. Two little squiggles come up on the screen and I feel butterflies when I see them, you can start to see their little arms and legs its amazing to see these little beings I’m growing.

“Ok well everything is looking good, I would like to see you in another week to look again. I would also like some blood work to make sure your levels are all good and if we need to adjust your vitamins then we will.” He says while snapping pictures of the little beans moving around on the screen. Emily comes back in to take blood and Blair says his goodbyes before taking off, when were done we all leave to go find the guys.

We get to the training area to find it empty, Valerie and I look between each other as her eyes gloss over quickly as she mind links him. I see a group of our wolves bolting past us as I start to feel anxious and sloan steps in front of me.
“I think we need to go inside.” I say quietly as Valerie snaps out of her mind link looking over to me.
“We need to go to the office, Evan is there and warriors are standing guard. I don’t know what happened but Evan sounded worried.” She says as my heart begins to race.

“I’m sure everyone’s fine.” Sloan says quietly as we speed walk back to my house, a loud howl echos through the night as I flinch. We get to my porch when Clayton comes running outside passed us.
“Get inside, there’s an attack at the boarder. Lock the house down till you get a mind link.” He demands as we start inside and I turn quickly before he shifts.
“Wait where’s Evan?” I yell as he’s already gone and Valerie’s pulling me inside locking the doors behind us.
