Chapter 27.
Alisons POV

By the time we reach our pack the sun is starting to set. It was a quite drive as the kids slept and the wolves took off ahead of us. I pull in with buggy’s behind me as I see the string lights guiding our way.

I stop in front of the pack house as Valerie comes running out.
“Luna!” She yells running up opening my door. Gemma and the other children get out taking their stuff as Valerie pulls me aside.
“Everyone has been helping set.” She stops as her head lifts and she sniffs the air hard. Her whole body lifts as she follows the smell not breaking her trance and I just watch her walk past me straight to Parker. He stands completely still looking at her the same way before they both stop examining each other before he speaks.

“Mate!” He says as they collide together and Alpha Evans shifts back walking over to me.
“Well isn’t that something.” He smirks pulling a pair of jogging pants on. I cover my mouth trying not to laugh, not even remembering what she was just saying to me.

“Ok everyone follow the Alpha and I to the court yard, we have set up large tents and a buffet.” I yell as everyone quiets down following us, there is cooks all over preparing food and serving it, or bringing dishes back everything’s so chaotic as the blood stone pack runs past filling plates full and sitting down. I’m sure none of them have eaten a proper fresh meal in god knows how long.

“I need to step out for a minute.” Evan whispers to me as I continue watching everyone.
“Are you ok here?” He asks softly as I just nod in response.
“Ok Valerie is here and so is Joel he will help you if you need it.” He states kissing my cheek taking off. I watch everyone mingle as the vibe rises and the tension begins to melt away.

“Ok everyone.” I start as they all look over to me still eating.
“It’s so nice to have you all here and I hope we can all get to know one another very soon, I’m sorry everything has been so confusing and I’m hoping I can help ease some worry’s.” I say as everyone just stares at me.

“Alright then, warriors , you will all meet with Joel he is one of our top worriers and he will go over training with you as well as guard duty. Cooks and servers will meet with Everly, she is our head chef, she will go over meal plans, placements as well as serving and kitchen duty’s. Maids will meet with clover, she is the one who handles all public rooms and pack buildings.” I say as everyone starts talking.

“What about the children?” One person says.
“What about our pack?” Another asks as I raise my hand for quite.
“The children will stay with their parents where ever their rank is.” “What if we don’t have parents?” A small child cuts me off and my heart sinks.

“If you don’t have a parent please come to me at the end and I will find a family for you to stay with. As for the blood stone pack grounds we will be demolishing the building and creating more farm lands as well as build new pack houses for everyone.” I say as the chatter stills.

“Is their any more questions?” I ask looking around to everyone.
“Are we allowed to move around the pack? Or do we have to stay near the tents?” One asks.
“For the first bit I’d like everyone to stay close to the tented area unless your with a crystal moon member, just so no one gets lost. Also through the adjustments we will be upping guard duty due to new threats as we expand. Once you learn the pack then yes you can move freely.” I say loudly as they nod in return.

Soon everyone is done eating and walking around trying to find their leaders to report to. I move around the group checking on everyone as I go, Joel is explaining to the warriors guard duty and the rules of the pack as well as expectations for training. Some of the men seem more riled up then others which is a bit nerve wracking seeing as we don’t know these wolves we’ve just let in to our pack.

I walk over to see Everly explaining meal plans to the elderly female wolves as I notice there are some females that have surfaced since arriving, I notice they all have wounds on them more then likely sexual assault wounds. I quickly call doctor Blair asking him to come down with a few nurses to examine some of the girls, when I finish on the phone I feel my blood boil at the amount of abuse I’m seeing.

“Alright, just some pack rules I’d like to adress with everyone. We do not abuse attack or rape our members, if this rule is broken you will be exiled from the pack lands or executed publicly.” I state loudly not straying my tone.
“The mate bond will be 100% respected, rejecting your mate can result in the same outcome.” I say as I hear a few wolves chatter.

“Our pack is welcoming you so please respect that, I don’t want any fights over the next few days.” I state continuing my tone as my heart races, I’ve never spoke in front of people let alone a broken pack of wolves conditioned to abuse.
“Breaking these rules goes against pack law and your Alpha and Luna which results in death.” Everyone stops talking realizing how serious I am.

Dr Blair shows up a few moments later as he starts walking around talking to the girls. I turn around bumping in to a small little boy with blond hair, I learn down eye level with him as he just stares up at me.
“Hello there” I say sweetly.
“What’s your name?” I ask softly trying not to scare him.

“Salem.” He says as he pulls at his fingers.
“Salem!” I say excitedly.
“That’s a very cute name.” I continue as I scoop him up in my arms and he smiles nuzzling in to my neck grabbing my hair, he looks to be about 5 years old.
“Where are your parents?” I ask as an older little boy and little girl walk up to me.

“His parents are dead and so are ours.” The boy says.
“My names Steve and this is my sister Samantha.” He says as I nod.
“You want to tell me what happened to your parents? Is there anymore kids without guardians?” I ask as the little girl nods taking off. I sit down on one of the stone benches as Salem clings his little body to me.

“Alpha Romeo killed our parents for speaking out about his abuse, Salem is our cousin.” He states looking down to him.
“My sister and I have been living in the pack house and taking care of him.” He finishes.
“How old are you?” I ask.
“11, my sisters 10.” He says as my heart breaks.
“Ok well you are children you shouldn’t be taking care of each other.” I say softly.

Soon his sister returns with 4 other little kids a toddler a baby and two pre teens.
“You’re all orphans?” I say in shock as they all look at me nodding.
“Ok you wait here I’ll be back in a second.” I say carrying Salem over to doctor Blair.
“Hey when you’re done can you check out the group of kids over here?” I ask softly.
“They are all orphans so they probably have went untreated.” I say as he nods and I walk off to go make some arrangements.

I call Valerie, I understand she found her mate but we need to deal with this first.
“Hey, can you bring me a list of all the family’s in the pack with children or wanting children?” I ask.
“Of coarse Luna, can I ask why?” She responds.
“Well we have a few orphaned children that came from Romeo’s pack, I would like to place them with a few family’s until we can figure out something permanent.” I state as I hear her gasp on the other line.

“Ok I’ll call around and see who’s willing to take in kids how many?” She asks as I look over to the kids.
“4 pre teens and 3 toddlers..” I say softly noticing more kids join the group. I hear her gasp again in the back ground and I feel Alpha Evans come up behind me. I hang up the phone and turn to Evan noticing Salem asleep on my shoulder.

“Who’s this?” Evan asks.
“His names Salem, he’s an orphan.” I say pressing my face in to him.
Alpha Evans looks around at the other kids.
“Are they all orphans?” He asks in awe.
“Yes, Valerie is calling family’s in the pack to see who is willing to take them.” I say softly still rocking Salem.
