Chapter 22.
Evans POV

I can’t believe Emmett! He’s been one of my top warriors since I took over. I mind link 3 of my guards to go after him. He took off towards the north border so hopefully my guards will track him. I also mind link Valerie and tell her to stay in Alisons room with her.

Oh Alison I think to myself as I put my head in my hands, I hear my wolf perk up shaming me for not protecting our mate and my heart breaks knowing he’s right. I should have walked her to the pack house this never should have happened to her. I’m going to fucking kill him when I find him!

My heads spinning in thoughts when Marco and Joel come in to my office.
“We picked up his scent just passed the boarder Alpha.” Marco says calmly as my heart pounds and my anger rises.
“Good go after him, beat the living hell out of him and drag him back alive!” I demand.

“Joel, what the hell is going on with Emmett, why did he rape MY MATE AND HIS LUNA!” I yell unable to hold back my anger as both of them cower to my Alpha aura.
“I’m, I’m not sure Alpha.” He stutters.
“I know he was mad when you declared her off limits, he found her so I think he was feeling possessive of her.” He says looking to the floor terrified to look up to me.

“Find him and bring him here!” I demand through gritted teeth as I crush the corners of my desk with my hands and both men scurry out of my office, my wolf forces his way to the surface letting out a deep rumbling howl as I try to take back control.

I take a deep breath trying to calm myself down, I need to compose myself before returning to Alison. She doesn’t need to see me like this, it will just upset her more. I left her with doctor Blair to stitch up the wounds Emmett left on her stomach, Valerie should be with her by now. My stomach churns thinking of the marks left on my mate and I realize I’m still squeezing the edges of my desk. I finish my thought there is another knock at my door.

“Come in” I beckon as the door cracks open.
“Hello Alpha.” Doctor Blair says quietly, nervous to enter.
“Hello doctor, how is she?” I ask softly as guilt fills my body again.
“She’s doing ok, has a few bruises and some scrapes. I stitched the punctures on her stomach and legs. She will be ok.” He states looking down and I can tell there more he wants to say.

“What else?” I ask knowing he’s tip toeing around saying something.
“Well Alpha, she is feeling some guilt and she needs to handle that before it gets out of control.” He states as my heart breaks more.
“Guilt, for what?” I ask confused, she didn’t do anything wrong, my wolf grumbles in pain thinking about how our mate must feel.

“Well she’s your mate and the mate bond draws you too together, because of that bond and the violation she’s been through she’s feeling guilty for it happening.” He states. “She obviously didn’t do anything wrong but subconsciously she feels like she has because she’s only meant for you. The mate bond will amplify her feelings.” I nod listening to the gentle doctor talk.

“The mate bond makes your body hurt as well as your mind if you aren’t faithful to your mate, of coarse it wasn’t her choice but regardless the mate bond doesn’t see it that way and will have the same effect.” He finishes as he struggles to look at me, my rage is making me leak Alpha aura all over the place effecting everyone.

“Alpha there is one more thing.” He states looking down, I nod encouraging him to continue as he fumbles with his words.
“Spit it out doctor.” I say dropping my gaze so he doesn’t feel so threatened.
“I will need to give her some medication, because she was raped and I’ve never prescribed her any form of contraceptives she will need to take something to make sure a pregnancy doesn’t result from this.” He says as my heart stops, I didn’t even think, I’m going to fucking kill Emmett. My anger fills the room again as Blair flinches back standing still unable to move.

“I will need you to bring her in to see me come morning.” He finally breaks the silence as I take a few deep breaths.
“Ok I understand, I will try and reassure her as much as I can and I will see you in the morning. Thank you for everything Blair.” I manage to get out in a half normal tone looking down to the desk.
“Alpha.” He says softly as I look back up to him.
“She was asking for you before I came down.” He says and I nod, he turns closing the door behind him.

How in the hell did this happen, Emmett has seemed fine since he brought Alison to me. Why would he hurt his Luna as well as me, I think to myself as my wolf paces in my mind. I’ve had to force him back all night otherwise I’d be ripping peoples heads off.

I walk back in my bedroom to see Valerie in my bed wrapped around my little mate, she looks up at my quickly before getting up.
“Do you still want me to stay?” She asks and I shake my head softly as she nods before leaving the room, I walk over to my beautiful mate curled up in my bed and climb in pressing my body against hers as she melts in to me.

“Are you ok?” I ask gently.
“Yeah, I’m just sore.” She responds moving to look up to me.
“I’m sorry.” Her soft voice says as I see shame cross her face making my heart ache.
“You don’t need to be sorry Alison.” I say cupping her face in my big hand.
“This wasn’t your fault, I have warriors out looking for Emmett they will bring him back here and lock him up. Then I’ll kill him.” I say calmly as I feel her shiver beneath me.

“Alison this is Emmett’s fault he did this, not you, I’m not mad at you. You feel like you betrayed me because of the mate bond but I promise I’m not mad and my wolf isn’t mad either ok. We are glad you are safe, we are sorry we didn’t protect you, and we hurt for what has happened to you.” I say softly looking down feeling shame wash over me remembering my wolfs words.

“I promise, I will find him and end him Alison, he won’t ever hurt you again.” I pull her close to me as her breath hitches. We lay in bed like this for hours, she eventually falls asleep to me rubbing her back but I just stay up watching her breath. My wolf whimpers in my mind as I feel her pain come off her in waves.

My wolf chimes in again.
“She’s beautiful isn’t she?” He says licking his lips.
“Yes.” I respond. “And she’s completely ours.” He growls back in response agreeing.
“When we find Emmett I’m chewing his fucking head off.” He states as drool drops from his teeth.

“We will deal with Emmett when we find him. We still have the board and Alpha Romeo to deal with as well so we need to stay focused. We have every guard and warrior in the pack looking for him.” I state as he snaps at me.
“I know Quinn you’ll get to rip him apart soon for what he did to our mate I promise. But we need to be patient there’s no room for mistakes.” I say as he finally gives in and drifts back finally allowing me to relax.
