Chapter 83.
Alison’s POV
Once Sloan and I are in the safe room Salem and I begin playing cards, he’s such a smart little boy and I treasure everyday with him. After about an hour I begin to get a sick feeling and my chest gets heavy, flash’s of Parker start coming in as my ears feel like they’re covered and my body gets warm.
“Are you ok Luna? Is it the babies?” Sloan asks concerned jumping over to me.
“No no I’m fine, I think somethings happening with Valerie though I can feel it. It’s an intense pain in my chest.” I say as her hands travel along my body feeling my pulse.
“My mother was a midwife before she passed, I learned a lot from her.” She says before her eyes gloss over and I know she’s mind linking someone.
“Ok Luna we need to go.” She says softly as I feel panic fill me.
“What’s happened?” I ask standing up quickly as Salem cleans up the cards.
“We need to meet Evan upstairs, he’s almost here.” She states as I nod and follow her.
We get outside to see Evan carrying Valerie as she’s screaming in to his chest, my heart drops seeing her pain as I walk over to them.
“What happened.” I manage to say my voice cracking. Evan walks up beside me just as Clayton comes in to view carrying Parker, blood soaking his body as my hand covers my mouth and I fight back tears.
Oh my god, she killed him. We go inside as Clayton brings the body to the cellar till we can do a proper ritual, Evan places Valerie on the couch as I come in with a glass of water, she lays down still crying hysterically as a lay down with her. I rub her back crying with her as she clings to me desperately
A few hours later Emily comes in after dealing with the wounded to join us as Valerie begins to calm down, Evan, Clayton and Sloan all sit with us, servers begin to bring in finger foods and snacks while we all sit in silence. All waiting for someone to talk for what seems like forever.
Finally Valerie sits up no longer crying, sorrow and fear gone leaving her face cold and hard as her voice comes out just above a whisper.
“I’m going to kill her.” She states as we all look up to her calmly.
