Chapter 31.
Alisons POV.

We all pile in to Valeries car as we head off to the little boutiques we visited once before. Emily has seemed a lot better lately, she’s been more comfortable around the pack members which has been really good for everyone. There hasn’t been any issues with Romeo’s pack members and she’s been pretty good at avoiding them, we’re assuming the wolves that abused her turned rogue after Romeo was taken. Emily hasn’t pointed out anyone in the pack that she remembers.

“How’s doctor Blair?” I ask in a flirty tone as she plays with Salem in the back seat.
“He’s really good, I actually really like him.” She says smiling.
“Well yeah!” Valerie says laughing.
“He’s your mate!” She states enthusiastically.
“Yeah Valerie, how’s your tall dark and handsome wolf?” I say teasing her as she shoots me a glare.
“I mean we can all see your fresh mark.” I say teasing again tossing a wink at her and she can’t help but crack a smile.

Salem plays with Emily in the back giggling away until we get there. We all get out as Emily picks Salem up carrying him with us as I laugh away talking to valerie.
“Guess you found yourself a little friend.” I say to Emily as she smiles.
“I love him Alison, I’m so happy for you.” She says softly as she bounces Salem while she walks and he plays with her braid.

We go in to a cute little dress shop with a little old woman at the counter. Valerie said the market is run by multiple wolves from other packs, you can find everything you need in the little shops it helps us avoid the human towns.

“Can I help you ladies?” The little old woman asks.
“Actually yes, we are preparing for a Luna ceremony.” Valerie says as the woman’s face lights up.
“For the crystal moon pack!” She says happily.
“Yes actually, Alison is becoming Luna.” Valerie says turning to me as I smile softly and nod.
“Oh dear, congratulations. Becoming a luna is a very magical event.” The little woman says taking my hand and I feel a bright energy come from her touch.

“I have formal dresses this way, come.” She says as we all follow, we begin looking through the racks she brought us to as she begins to talk.

“The Luna ceremony has been around for generations, inviting young she-wolves to bask under the moon vowing to protect and support their pack. The connection she receives with her pack and mate is impenetrable, the Luna of the moon is a sacred oath.” We all find a few dresses to try on as she shows us to our dressing rooms continuing her speech.

“You will feel everything your pack feels, you will be able to control the emotions of your mate as well as your pack members. The moon goddess will bless you with gifts to be a successful leader, everyone thinks it’s the Alpha that leads when it’s actually the Luna. She bares the weight of many wolves, the goddess will give you the strength to carry them.” She stops as we all listen closely.

“Will you be attending my Luna ceremony?” I ask her sweetly as she looks up at me and smiles.
“Of course dear, I wouldn’t miss it.” She says taking my hand as Valerie and Emily pick out their gowns.

The little old woman takes Salem to look for a little suit as the girls and I make our final choices. I will be wearing a long sleeve off the shoulder gold floor length dress, it’s absolutely stunning and shapes my body in all the right ways. The dress shimmers against the light and the back flows gently behind me when I move.

Emily picks a dark royal blue spaghetti strap dress that also flows behind her it has lace sleeves that are loose and drape along her arms making her look like a fairy, and Valerie chose a deep red long dress with a slit up the side, her hair colour and eye colour suit the dress perfectly she’s honestly stunning.

After we collect our stuff we head up to the front to find Salem, he comes running up excitedly with a jet black suit and a gold shimmery tie that matches my dress.
“Look Alison! It’s just like you.” He says with a huge smile and I can’t help but pick him up as he giggles away. We pay for our items and head back to the pack house, we need to finish some last minute plans and I need to check on Romeo’s members and see how everyone is making out.

By the time we make it back it’s late and Salem is asleep on Emily in the back, I instruct Valerie to show Emily the pack house and where her room will be with doctor Blair.

“Hey Emily, can you put Salem to bed before you and Valerie meet me in the court yard please.” I ask quietly trying not to wake Salem.
“Of course.” She says softly as she smiles walking off with him.

Salem has been so good for all of us and he’s only been here for a day, today is the first time I’ve seen Emily smile so much and not just because we are watching but because she’s actually happy. She’s always loved kids.

The cooks are running around bringing food out, getting dinner ready for all the pack members, I grab a few plates and begin to help.

“Oh Luna you don’t need to do that.” One of the cooks says quickly as I grab another plate.
“It’s ok I can help.” I say laughing as I carry the food out to the tables while everyone begins to gather in the court yard to get dinner. I linger around as everyone fills their plates and sit to eat, Evan comes barreling out of the woods startling everyone.

“ROGUES!” He shouts as everyone gets up and starts running, children cry and scream as some of the wolves begin to shift and take off towards Evan, he snaps his body around firmly standing his ground waiting for impact.
“EVERYONE IN TO THE PACK HOUSE FOLLOW ME PLEASE!” I yell over top of the snarls and growls as the cooks start to rush inside and we all begin to pile in behind, our largest pack house fortunately is able to hold quite a few people and with most our pack being warriors trackers and guards we only need to bring women children and elderly in.

“What’s going on!” Valerie yells as she runs up to me.
“Rogues attacked Alpha Evans is outside with the others fighting them off, I brought everyone in here.” I say quickly.
“Ok stay here and lock the door behind me.” She says taking off before I can say anything. 4 steps out of the door she quickly shifts leaping from the deck bolting towards the action as more howls and snarls rip through the air.
