Evans POV

Since the battle I’ve been having trouble sleeping, I almost died. All I remember is returning to the pack to find the rogues all over stopping us from reaching our homes, I howled loudly commanding an attack as my men all bolt off in to battle. I remember finding Emmett and finally getting my teeth in to him when I was blind sided by another rogue, I remember Lorenzo pulling the other wolf off me giving me the chance to snap Emmett’s neck. I blacked out right after, apparently it was a long surgery and I had some pretty aggressive bleeding. I’m so glad it’s all over now.

Alison went dress shopping with the girls yesterday and I think it really helped her, she talked to me last night. Actually talked to me, since we lost the baby she hasn’t really said much about it or any of her feelings for that matter but last night she finally opened up.

I lay in bed wide awake, Alison sleeps soundly beside me as she softly snores making me chuckle, looking over to the clock on the night stand I notice it’s only 3 am. Maybe I should go for a run I think to myself as I stare at the ceiling waiting to fall asleep, I listen to the wind whistle outside our window as I look up to the moon and I feel it calling to me.

In the pack yard I quietly shift as there’s no one around, breathing in the crisp night air, I let it fill my lungs consuming me. I feel the nature air flow through my veins as my body ignites under the moonlight, I lift my head howling in to the night giving Quinn control letting him sprint off in to the dark.

I run through the early morning as the wind rustles against my fur, the dew from the grass soaks my paws and the air is sharp. It’s getting colder out and I let my brain wonder as I continue my run, my body floats with each stride allowing myself to give in to instinct when I hear a branch brake to my left startlingly me.

I crouch down flicking my ears as I listen closely, I hear something breathing just past the bush’s as I begin to stock it. I see two little brown ears pop up searching for me as I pause watching the little bunny graze, I wait till he relaxes thinking he’s alone before leaping to my attack.

Grabbing the little bunny between my teeth hearing his last squeals before he lays lifeless in my mouth, I use my paws to pull it apart letting Quinn enjoy his catch when I realize the sun is starting to peak up over the horizon and I know I need to get back before Alison wakes up. Finishing my snack I take off back to the pack house quickly letting Quinn get the rest of his frustration out before bolting inside to my bedroom.

I quietly slip through our bedroom door as Alisons eyes flicker open shooting in to me and she’s clearly not impressed about waking up alone.
“Where were you?” She asks rolling over as I climb in next to her.
“I went for a run, I couldn’t sleep.” I say kissing the nape of her neck down her back making her shiver beneath me and my heart pounds.

“I missed you while you were gone.” She says softly nuzzling back in to me and I run my hands along her perfect naked body.
“I don’t like being in this big bed all alone.” She continues in a cute sexy voice grinding her ass back in to me making me stand at attention.
“Mmm well maybe we can fill it.” I respond moving my hand around to the front of her as she gasps pushing back to me. I groan feeling myself harden more, fuck I love the feeling she gives me.

“What are you doing today?” Alison asks softly tangling her fingers between mine as the sparks flow through us.
“I will be planing for the beta tournament, it leaves us in a vulnerable state not having a second in command.” I say as I feel her chest rise and fall breathing softly against me.
“Ok I’ll spend the day with Valerie setting up for the ceremony tomorrow.” She says leaning up to kiss me.

“Do you want to take a shower?” She asks with a playful smile and I swoop her up in to my arms as her small body erupts in giggles and I carry her in to our bathroom. She seems happy today, her emotions have been all over the place since the baby, which I can’t expect anything else. Quinn has been emotional too which means I need to be strong for both of them.

I turn the hot water on letting the steam fill the bathroom as I hear Alison brush her teeth, adjusting the temperature I step in letting the water warm my skin helping me relax. Alison steps in and I feel her little hands travel along my body as my skin heats up more, I love her more and more each day.
