Chapter 15.
Alison’s POV

We jump in to the books and Valerie decides we should start with Luna training 101 basically what will be expected of me after my Luna ceremony. There is so much that I need to remember, as Luna I will be expected to handle planning all events hosted by the pack, I will be a support for all wolves in the pack and need to be available for them when ever they need especially the females.

I need to attend all pack meeting as well as Alpha meetings with other packs. I also need to spend a few hours each week with the children teaching them the rules of the pack as well as our morals and values. Gosh I’m not sure I’m ready for all this my anxiety rises just thinking about it all.

Next we talk about the moon goddess, being an orphaned human in a little town I was never taught any of this. The moon goddess chooses each mate specifically for each other, each persons one half of a whole. When a mate pair see’s each other for the first time the world stops as their wolves recognize one another causing a wave of emotions while the mate bond gets kicked in to action. I will be left to teach the children all about the sacred mate bond and how our pack respects it.

Alpha Evans is very strict on his rules.
1. The mate bond is the ultimate bond. If you reject your mate you’re banished, if you abuse your mate you’re banished, if you break your mate bond or cheat on your mate, you are banished. If you are a female and your mate is from another pack you must go with them, the Alpha will keep in contact to ensure our she wolfs safety.
2. Loyalty to the pack. If you break your loyalty to the pack or the Alpha you are banished. this includes plotting against the Alpha, leaking pack information, or abandoning a pack member in need.
3. Fighting only happens in the training arena, abuse of any kind towards women and children is not tolerated and you will be banished.
4. If you take the life of another wolf, your life will be taken in return. If you rape another wolf you will pay for it with your life.

Jeez by the time I’m done reading over the rules I realize you can be banished for basically every offence and wolves are only sentenced to death in extreme circumstances. My head spins with all the new information trying to soak it all in. My duty’s as Luna would be easy for a wolf because they would have grown up learning it, I on the other hand have a month to learn it all.

We clean up the books deciding we’ve read enough for today and turn on the T.V. to lounge and eat.
“Do you know what you want for the Luna ceremony?” Valerie asks “Like colours, food, cake, dress all that fun stuff?” She asks as she gives me a small smile.

“I haven’t thought about it much.” I say softly.
“Alison!” She exclaims. “You are binding your life to the Alpha as well as our pack! It’s more then just a mate bond, when you are accepted in to the pack a wash of emotions will flood you as you begin to link to the pack.” She says happily as my heart skips.

“Which means you will be able to mind link pack members as well as the Alpha. you will also feel the pack, if someone in the pack dies you will feel the loss as it happens if someone breaks from the pack you’ll feel it, if a wolf is very very hurt you will know it.” She explains as I listen attentively not even knowing how to answer.

My chest hurts as I think of Emily I can’t imagine what she’s going through, I’m lost in my own mind as Valerie breaks my thoughts.
“I know, I can’t believe what she’s going through either and I seen it, felt it actually.” She says softly.
“How’d you know what I was thinking” I ask curiously.
“I don’t know just a guess, it’s the same thing I was thinking.” she says looking at her hands.

“What do you mean you felt it?” I ask quietly.
“I’ve never felt a premonition before but I felt her pain, I felt the knife carve her body as if it was my own.” She says grabbing her arm as her eyes go blank, I place my hand on hers as she gives me a soft smile.
“I’m sorry” she says, looking down to her hands as they shake remembering her premonition.
“You don’t need to be sorry for anything.” I say squeezing her hand tighter as she leans over on to me.

I guess we both ended up falling asleep, I’m woken up by the Alpha climbing in to bed.
“Where’s Valerie?” I ask dazed and confused.
“She’s back in her room I woke her up a few minutes ago, did you eat?” He asks as I nod my head to his question. I grab his big muscular arm pulling it over me as his wieght pushes me in to the bed.

“Did you hear from Alpha Romeo?” I ask remembering what Valerie saw today.
“Yes.” He says coldly. “She will cross the boarder friday, I will have my warriors escort her and after she’s here safe I will be talking with the board about his abuse within his pack. Hopefully then an investigation can be started.” He states and I can feel the pain leak from his voice.
“Thank you.” I say softly. “I know it hasn’t been easy to try and get her back.” He hums pulling me closer to him. His body shoots sparks across mine as I’m lost in the feeling he gives me. Soon I’m back asleep in a warm cocoon of my Alpha’s arms.

3 days later

The last few days have been very quiet everyone seems to walk on eggshells waiting for today. Today is Friday and Alpha Romeo promised to send Emily over. So Valerie and I are spending time in the court yard today, we decided to have a picnic and wait for an update from Alpha Evans.

I meet Valerie by the fountain as she’s setting up our blanket and pulling out containers of food.
“Hey!” She calls. “Are you excited?” She asks as I smile back at her.
“I really am, I’ve missed Emily so much it feels like years since I’ve seen her.” I say happily.

“I’m really excited to meet her.” Valerie responds. “I hope she’s ok.”
“She will be.” I say playing with my food trying to convince myself of my words more then Valerie.
“Tell me about her.” She says breaking my thoughts.
“Well we grew up together so we spent every waking day together. She’s my best friend and the only family I’ve ever known.” I say as she smiles back at me.

“She’s the kindest person I’ve met and her personality is like bubbles, exactly what you would imagine bubbles as. Bright, shinny, happy, floating through life effortlessly, I never understood how she could always see the bright side of everything. Girl is filled with silver linings.” I say chuckling to myself as Valerie’s hand lands on my knee.

Valerie and I watch the clouds pass by above us until the sun starts to set.
“I wonder if Evan has heard of anything yet?” I say looking over to her.
“I’m not sure.” She responds as she starts cleaning up our stuff.
“I think I might go look for him.” I say to her as I pick up the basket when all of a sudden her eyes gloss over and she hands me the rest of our stuff.

“Actually I think you should go to your room and relax, Alpha’s calling me so I’ll go check it out and come see you ok?” She says as I nod turning to walk back to the pack house as Valerie sprints off in to the evening, she shifts as she gets further away in to a huge red wolf with a dark brown snout and brown paws.
I wonder what’s wrong I think to myself as my heart starts to race, I’ve never seen Valerie scared and she doesn’t seem like that kind of person. But the fear I just seen wash over her has me concerned.
