Chapter 79.
Alison POV

Valerie and Parker meet us in our office as I bring the box of ballots in emptying the box across my table, we all start counting them as we hear the wolves outside cheering and howling with excitement and anticipation.

It takes us about 45 minutes to sort through all the little slips, when we have them all in 3 piles it’s easy to see who the winner is but we count just to be sure. 600 votes for Clayton 500 votes for Sloan and Spencer had a little over 300 votes. Evan and I set the ballots aside and head back to the arena to announce our winner.

Evan steps forward raising his hand as everyone quiets down, the 3 opponents stand side by side in the middle of the ring.
“After a close draw between Clayton and Sloan, Clayton comes out victorious!” Evan says as the crowd goes wild erupting in to cheers.
“Congratulations and welcome to the pack Clayton we look forward to getting to know you, do you have anything you’d like to say?” He says loudly as Clayton steps forward.

“Actually Alpha I do, Sloan is my mate. We found each other the first night here and I’m wondering if you will accept both of us in to the pack?” Clayton asks as a huge smile crosses my face and I stand speaking before Evan.
“Of course we will take you both, we’d be happy to have you.” I say smiling as Evans face matches mine in silence.

Sloan and Clayton’s excitement reaches us from across the arena as Sloan squeals jumping in to his arms. The wolves cheer for our new found beta couple as I look over to Evan excitedly.
“Tonight we celebrate!” He cheers loudly as the howls continue, some wolves shift allowing their excitement to echo through the trees as they begin to take off across the pack.

Evan shifts taking the lead as everyone follows including Parker, Valerie stays behind with me to set up for when everyone returns. Being pregnant means I can’t join Evan when he goes out running anymore.
“Ok we have about an hour till everyone’s back and the ceremony starts.” Valerie says as we both stand to head to the kitchen.

We walk in as servers and cooks are all running around with plates of food, the amazing aroma fills the air as my stomach grumbles.
“Ok everyone, the food can all be brought out to the dining tables in the court yard.” Valerie calls speaking over everyone as they all turn to listen. I grab a few pieces of garlic bread as one of the servers walks by smiling at me while she heads outside.

Valerie and I each grab a few plates and walk outside to make sure we’re ready, the small lights line the paths like usual leading up to the podium with wolf statues. Seeing as we will have a beta couple we’ll have to do a binding ceremony before they are accepted in to the pack, I send the twins off to get the rest of the stuff we will need. Valerie and I walk over to the field where 4 wolves stacking the wood for the fire, they greet us happily as we check in on their progress and we hear a chain of howls rattle through the night.

We take a look around at everything as the wolves come in to view and I see Evans beautiful white wolf trotting through the grass, Clayton and Sloan follow closely as they all howl together loudly in sync. He shifts quickly before reaching us with a huge smile plastered across his face making a shimmery feeling flow through my body, he lands in front of me wrapping his arms around me lifting me off the ground.

“Are we ready?” He says just above whisper, I nod as he pulls away from me panting heavily. The rest of the wolves shift joining us as our new betas wait beside us.
“Tonight we will celebrate! But first we feast!” Evan bellows loudly in his Alpha voice as the cheers continue to echo off the trees.

I gently touch Sloans arm to get her attention as she turns to look at me.
“Hey! Luna, I’m so happy to meet you!” She exclaims pulling me in for a hug.
“Congratulations, Evan and I are really looking forward to having you and your mate in the pack. After the ceremony we will meet in my office to talk about what you and Clayton will be doing.” I finish as she nods excitedly.

“Also we will be doing a binding ceremony before the pack accepts you guys.” I say softly as she agrees and the 4 of us walk over to the podium while everyone finishes grabbing their food. Evan and I stand in front of the podium as the wolves pile around eagerly waiting to get started, Clayton and Sloan hold hands in front of us as the chatter loudly continues and Evan raises his hand in silence.

“Tonight we bind you to one another, you will share the beta responsibilities and support the pack. Together you will love and cherish each other and grow closer as your mate bond thrives.” With that Clayton and Sloan take the dagger from the twins, slicing their hands as their fingers clasp together and their blood combines as one. A wave of power wash’s over similar to when I had my Luna ceremony.

The crowd cheers as Evan raises his hand once again.
“Now Clayton Bow, Sloan Rivers.” He says with power behind his voice, he picks up our dagger slicing his hand allowing the blood to flow in to a chalice as he hands it to me before speaking.
“Do you accept the crystal moon pack as your family and home.” He bellows, I slice my palm allowing the blood to combine with his as our betas nod agreeing.

“Do you promise to led by our laws, follow our traditions and protect the pack at all costs?” He says loudly as Clayton and Sloan once again agree before taking the chalice from us.
“We will proudly protect and fight for our pack, you will be our family and we are honoured to be yours. Clayton says loudly as the crowd erupts in to loud bellows and howls as they both drink and the power flows over our pack in waves.

Evan turns to me smiling as I can’t help but excitedly laugh, everyone is on such an intense high from the power serge. Adding 2 betas in to our pack instead of just one has increased our strength and everyone can feel it.

The fire gets lit up and everyone continues the party, howling wolves call from across the pack lands as smoke fills the air and people walk around with plates of food. Salem comes running up with Blair and Emily as she hands me a bowl of chicken salad.
“Very nice celebration Luna, will I be seeing you in the morning?” He asks as I nod shoving a fork full off food in to my mouth.

“Do you want me to help you upstairs?” Emily asks me as I nod again still eating.
“I’m going to go for another run with Clayton then I’ll be up.” Evan states as he kisses my cheek.
“Ok I will see you soon!” I call as he runs off shifting with a few other wolves taking back off in to the dark forests.

I turn to Emily laughing as Salem grabs my hand, I get a plate filling it with food before going up to my room. I grab roasted carrots and potatoes, roast beef and gravey with peas and broccoli, Emily giggles behind me as I smile.
“What?” I ask licking my fork.
“Do you want me to get another plate.” She asks laughing as I snap my fingers and my face lights up.
“That is a great idea!” I say excitedly as she grabs another filling it with deserts and we finally head up to my room.
