Chapter 16.
Evans POV

I stalk back and forth pacing the boarder waiting for Alpha Romeo to show up, he was sapossed to be here already. I howl loudly as he finally comes in to view but I see no girl with them. Where’s Emily? I think as I feel my wolf grow more rigid the closer he gets, he has 3 men with him.

The two in the front look to be carrying something, a chest maybe. I think to myself as it clicks in and I howl loudly allowing my dominant aura to spill out around me making my warriors bow. He put her in the trunk! As he walks up to the boarder I quickly shift and grab a pair of shorts from one of my guys. Alpha Romeo throws the chest down on the ground in front of me as it tips over and a small dark haired girl spills out of it.

“What is wrong with you!” I demand. “She is a person and should be treated as such, instead of tossed around like a bag of garbage!” I yell back at him as he sickly laughs turning to walk away.
“Have fun with the little whore, we put her to good use!” He states laughing loudly as it takes every inch of self control to not barrel towards him ripping him limb from limb.

I quickly lean down scooping the unconscious girl up in to my arms as I mind link Valerie to come meet me, I made sure she left Alison in the pack house. I don’t want her to see her friend like this. I think to myself as I look down at this beautiful porcelain girl covered in blood and bruises. I start walking to the medic center as Valerie meets me half way.

“Oh my god!” Valerie exclaims covering her mouth.
“Is she alive?” She asks softly as I feel her fear force off her.
“She’s breathing for now, but I don’t know how alive she’ll be after all of this is over and she realizes what has happened to her.” I say emotionlessly as we walk through the doors. Within minutes doctors and nurses are surrounding us barking orders.

“Place her on the gurney Alpha.” One says as another asks what happened to her, questions fly as everyone rush’s around frustrating me.
“Ok enough!” I bellow loudly. “This is Emily she’s a survivor from Alpha Romeo’s pack and my mates best friend, you will tend to her as needed and no one will tell the Luna what is going on until I speak with her. Is that understood?” I say using my Alpha tone as everyone nods. “Good I will be back in a half hour for an update.” I walk out of the room pulling Valerie along with me.

“You are to stay with Emily you do not leave her room, you are a female and after what I seen with Alpha Romeo I doubt she will trust a guy anytime soon, I’m going to talk with Alison and I will be back I don’t want her seeing her friend like this.” I say putting my head in my hand.
“Emily is going to take a long time to recover and she may never recover fully. Just comfort her let her know she’s safe here if she wakes up before I’m back.” I say as Valerie nods
“Yes Alpha.” She states taking off back in to Emily’s room as I turn to go find my mate.

I take a deep breath replaying what I just seen in my head over and over again. What kind of Alpha even is he? Who treats a person like this I think to myself as flash’s go through my brain of her scars and I fight back tears, god I’m an Alpha why am I being so sensitive. Maybe it’s the mate bond I think as I feel my wolf whimper in the back of my mind.

I find Alison pacing the bedroom as I open the door.
“Did you find her?” She runs to me grabbing my shirt as I pull her in and hug her tightly trying to calm her.
“Alpha Romeo dropped her off at the border.” I say pausing.
“Is she ok.” She asks looking up at me. “Can I see her!”

“Alison, she’s in bad shape, she was unconscious when he dropped her off, I called Valerie and I carried her to the medic centre.” I say slowly taking a deep breath.
“Valerie will stay with her while she’s being treated, she will probably be unconscious for a while.” I say as I see tears pool in the corner of her eyes and my heart shatters.

“I want to see her.” She says clearly
“Alison I really don’t think it’s a good idea, you should let her….”
“I don’t care!” She shouts cutting me off. “It’s been weeks since I’ve seen her she’s hurt and she’s been alone and scared I need to see her!” She demands and all I can do is nod. I take her hand as we start walking back to Emily.

Before we walk in I stop turning to Alison holding her hands in mine.
“You need to be prepared.” I say softly, scared to even bring her in.
“I know.” She says bearly a whisper. We walk in as Alison gasps, Valerie’s gaze jolts up as she sits beside Emily’s bed. She is now hooked up to maultiple IV’s, a heart monitor as well as tubes coming from her chest.

Alison slowly walks over climbing in to bed with Emily as she wraps her tiny body around her friend and begins to sob. I look at Valerie as she nods to me and I turn to step out of the room. I can’t handle seeing my mate hurt this much for her friend, I can bearly breath as I hear her crying in the other room.

The doctor walks up breaking my thoughts.
“Hello Alpha, I’m doctor Blair. We haven’t had much time to get to know each other in the past but I’ve taken over for doctor Dixen.” He says as I just nod.
“So let’s get started shall we. First of all Alpha, Emily is my mate.” He states as I swallow my heart.

“We can’t tell her that.” I say without a second thought.
“I know Alpha, I’m just letting you know,. I will be her doctor but eventually she will be my mate.” He says softly as I see the hurt spread across his face.
“Yes that is perfectly fine. I wouldn’t expect any less.” I say continuing my thought.

“For now though we need to focus on healing her” I respond.
“Yes Alpha of coarse, as I was saying she has been badly abused, since she showed up to Alpha Romeo’s pack.” He says choking back tears as I see the sorrow and pain in his eyes for his mate.

“She has been sexually abused, beaten, burned… starved, they carved her with knives, she has maultiple broken ribs. A few stab wounds and a punctured lung, she needs to go in for surgery to remove her spleen as it’s bleeding..” He trails off as we both look to the ground.
“I’m so sorry doctor” I say placing my hand on his shoulder.
“We will work our way through this together as a pack.” I finish as he lets out a deep sigh.
