Chapter 29.
Alisons POV

I wake up the next morning with a little foot pressed in to my back, I gently move trying not to wake the sleeping child in my bed when I hear Evan whisper.

“Yeah he’s been kicking me all night too.” He says and I can hear in his voice how tired he is.
“What time is it?” I ask softly.
“6 am.” He states as he shuffles around and Salem groans stretching.

“We should probably get up and get things started for the day.” I say as I hold the little foot scooting out from under it.

Evan and I go in to the bathroom together and he starts the shower as Salem sleeps soundly in our bed.
“What do we have planned for the day?” I ask softly as we step under the water.
“Well I was thinking I would gather a few crews of men to start demolition of Romeo’s pack.” Evan says as he runs his hands down my arms.
“Ok is there anything you’d like me to do today while your gone?” I ask as I start washing my hair and body, trying to hurry as I don’t know when Salem will wake up.

“Just try and speak with members of Romeo’s pack and see if they need help, make sure the cooks are prepared for the influx in meals, and plan your Luna ceremony for tomorrow you and Emily need to go dress shopping and tomorrow we set up the grand hall.” He states as I step out to dry off.
“Ok let me know how demo’s go.” I say tossing him a towel.

There’s a small knock at the door.
“Alison?” A little voice asks.
“One minute I’m just getting dressed.” I answer as I toss a long maxi dress on and quickly ruffle my hair dry.

I open the door to see a sleepy little Salem stumbling around on the other side.
“Do you want to go get some breakfast?” I ask him leaning down as he wraps his little arms around my neck nodding excitedly.
“Ok let’s go then.” I pick him up carrying him to his room to pick out clothes for him. We find these cute little jeans with a grey t shirt that has a blue wolf on it.
“Do you want to tell me a bit about your parents?” I ask as I help him finish getting dressed.

“My mommy was really pretty, she had a long white braid in her hair everyday, my dad was tall and scary.” He says softly as we begin our walk down stairs.
“Do you know what happened to them?” I ask softly as he shakes his head.
“No they left one day and never came back, I slept a few times before the big men came and got me, that’s when I started washing dishes in the kitchen.” He talks softly as I fight back tears, how long was this poor child alone in his house before Romeo’s men came and took him.

We make it down to the kitchen as the cooks are running around like crazy the dish’s clank and people are running in to each other, it’s a mess. Salem clings to my leg as people rush past and I loudly whistle.

“Alright!” I call as everyone calms down.
“I understand everything is very hectic and it’s all going to take a while to get used to the merge. That being said, calm down, take a breath and focus. We all need to work together to make sure we smoothly find a routine.” I say as everyone quietly continues their work.

“We will be doing meals in the grand hall from now on this way there is room for everyone. Alpha Evans will be away today so if anyone needs anything please find me, I will be planing for my Luna ceremony tomorrow.” I say loudly as everyone nods continuing their work.

I get outside to find Valerie already giving orders, god does this girl ever sleep?
“Good morning Luna!” She says turning to me. “And good morning little Salem” she says leaning down to him as he hides behind my legs.
“I’m Valerie, Alison and Evans friend.” She says softly as he continues to hide and she stands back up to continue talking to me.

“We need to go shopping for the Luna ceremony.” I say. “Also we need to bring Emily, she’s being discharged today right?” I ask.
“Yes she is.” She checks her watch.
“Soon actually, why don’t you go get her? I need to finish the groups up to send with Alpha Evans then I will join you.” I nod as I take Salem’s hand heading to the medic centre, he talks about all the pretty flowers he see’s and the butterflies fluttering along the walkway. He’s honestly so cute, watching him skip along following the little fluttering bugs melts my heart and I realize how happy I am.

In less then a year I’ve found my perfect little family, I remember when I was a child I felt so alone, I’d lay in my little cot in the orphanage and cry myself to sleep picturing what my parents could have looked like. What there names may have been. I made up names and personality’s they could have had, my heart breaks thinking about how Salem must think of those things too. I want him to know that we love him, and Evan and I will never leave him.

Emily is sitting on her bed talking to doctor Blair when I walk in.
“Oh hello Luna! Who might this be?” He asks smiling at Salem.
“I’m Salem!” He says loudly stepping forward catching me off guard making me laugh, guess he found his voice on the walk over.
“Well Salem aren’t you a big boy, are you taking good care of Alison here?” Blair points at me chuckling as Salem nods aggressively and I laugh.

“So Emily are you ready to be released?” I ask as Blair stands.
“Yes actually I have her papers right here I’m just signing off and she can leave.” He says softly.
“Ok perfect we have Luna shopping to do.” I say grabbing Emily’s hand as she starts grabbing the clothes Valerie brought her and going to change. She comes out grabbing her bag and sits on the bed as I braid her hair.

“Salem, this is Emily.” I say as he looks up at her.
“She’s my best friend, her and Valerie are going to come shopping with us today.” He nods happily with a big smile as he climbs in to Emily’s lap.
“So what’s with the little boy?” Emily asks as she plays with Salem’s hair pulling it out of his face.

“He came from Alpha Romeo’s pack.” I say as her body visibly stiffens.
“Evan and I are going to the board to find his birth certificate so we can legally adopt him.” I say as her eyes go wide and Salem gasps.
“You’re going to keep me!” He shouts.
“Yes Salem.” I laugh looking at his happy little face.
“I told you, you will live with me and Alpha Evans.” I say as he leaps from Emily jumping up and down. I finish Emily’s hair as we all leave to meet with Valerie.
