Chapter 76.
Evans POV

We rush Alison in to the medic centre as Blair and Emily start getting everything set up, Quinn is yelling at me in my head making it hard to concentrate. Blair comes in as the nurses begin setting up monitors and my heart pounds in fear and anxiety.

“We’re going to do an ultrasound to make sure the baby’s are fine but I’m pretty sure she just fainted, has she been eating, taking her meds, sleeping properly?” He asks calmly as he moves a machine over pulling her shirt up making me growl defensively.
“It’s ok Alpha, I just need to check the baby’s.” He reassures me and I shake my head pushing my feelings aside, I know he’s just trying to help but I don’t like him touching her and Quinn is making it hard to control my emotions.

“She’s having issues eating because of being so sick, she spends a lot of time in bed and she takes the meds everyday. I leave them on her side table before I go to work every morning.” I answer as he nods putting gel on her stomach and I watch his every move.

“Ok Alpha, there are you’re baby’s.” He says pointing at the screen and I see two little balls with tiny white shapes inside them and my heart skips. He presses a button on the screen and two small scattered patters come from the speakers.
“And that, is their heart beats.” Blair says as my eyes widen and I feel Quinn surface in awe as we watch the small blobs move along the screen.

“Ok well everything looks good, heart beats are strong and even, size is right for how far along she is and development looks good. Luna however seems a bit dehydrated so I’m going to admit her for the night on IV fluids to try and help, shes going to need to really pay attention to how much she eats and drinks.” He informs me as I nod pulling a chair up beside her.

“It seems to just be exhaustion so we will do fluids and monitor her and the baby’s, I can have a cot brought in for you if you’d like?” He asks as I nod softly still staring at my gorgeous mate.
“I need to handle the packs that are still arriving but I’ll be coming back to spend the night with her, when will she be awake?” I say as he nods writing in her file before answering.

“I will have a cot brought in shortly, you can go handle pack business. She will need to rest for a little while, I don’t see her waking up for a few hours still.” He answers as I nod grabbing on to her hand squeezing it gently.

I sit with Alison in the empty room as my heart pounds and Quinn chimes in.
“She’s beautiful.” He says in low husky voice making me smile.
“She is, this pregnancy will be hard on her though.” I respond as he begins to pace.
“I know, I wish there was a way to make this easier for her.” He says softly as I agree laying my head down on her legs and I listen to her breathing.

I feel myself getting tired and stand before falling asleep, I need to get Parker and Valerie to handle the rest of the night so I can be here. I go back out to the court yard as dinner is being served and there’s wolves everywhere sitting eating, filling their plates and mingling with each other.

I walk up to the podium as everyone’s attention turns to me and I notice more cars pulling in making me feel overwhelmed.
“Hello everyone and thank you for coming, come morning we will prepare for each fight, everyone will fight one on one. The winner will move on to the next round till we are down to the last 3. The 3 finalists will then prove to the pack why they would be the best beta and we will leave it to a vote.” I say as everyone whispers between one another.

“I look forward to seeing everyone compete, and I wish you all the best of luck. Now for tonight I will be handing it over to Parker, he will answer your questions, show each pack to their tents and set up the order for tomorrows fights. I will be in the medic centre with our Luna if anyone needs me, I will see you all tomorrow.” I finish as everyone returns to what they are doing and I walk over to Valerie and Parker.

“Hey guys, I’m so sorry but I need to be with Alison tonight.” I say feeling terrible leaving all the work to them.
“It’s ok. We’ve got this, you just go sit with Luna an make sure she relaxes. It’s only one more night anyways, after this weekend we will have a new beta.” Valerie says happily with a wide smile.

I laugh before turning to leave, I decide I should go on a quick run before heading back to the hospital. I shift giving Quinn full control as I take off across the pack lands, unfortunately everyone needs to stay on pack lands until we deal with the rogues and that includes me. I only run for about a half hour before going back to the medic centre to see if my beautiful mate is awake yet.

I walk in to the Alpha wing as everything is silent, its dark and there’s little lights along the walls. Opening the door Alison stirs rolling over, I walk over as she aggressively blinks trying to look up to me.
“Hey little mate, how are you feeling?” I ask as she softly groans moving the blankets around her.

“I’m ok I think, what happened?” She asks grabbing on to my hand.
“Well you fainted, the baby’s are taking a lot out of you, you have to stay till tomorrow then you will be discharged. You do need to pay more attention to how much your eating and drinking.” I answer as I hand her water before trying to sit up.

“Are the baby’s ok?” She says chugging the glass of water making me chuckle.
“They are perfect, I got to hear their heart beats when we came in.” I say softly as she looks at me with these huge puppy dog eyes before bursting in to tears.
“I want to hear their heart beats.” She shrieks still crying as I chuckle.
“It’s ok Alison you can in the morning just calm down and rest.” I say as she nods softly fighting back tears and I climb in to her bed pulling her to me.
