Chapter 19.
Alisons POV

Doctor Blair pulls the blanket off Emily lifting her shirt as I let out a gasp. She has letters carved in to her body everywhere, more then I can even count. There is huge bite marks across all areas of her skin, burns on the inside of her thighs as well as claw marks down her back and legs, it also looks like she’s been stabbed a few times.

The doctor begins to clean each wound as the nurse is busy taking swabs and photos while I fight back the erge to cry for my best friend. He changes the bandage from surgery and gets to work stitching some of the gash’s closed.
I can’t stop the tears from rolling down my cheeks any longer as I watch him clean the tare marks all over her body.
“Why do your hands feel like that?” Emily asks quietly as I shoot a look to Evan and I clue in.

This doctor is Emily’s mate. Evan puts his head down as does the doctor shrugging off Emily’s question. Oh MY god. I squeeze Emily’s hand as I stand up.
“I’ll be right back, I’ll send Valerie in.” I say leaning down to her.
“Follow me.” I whisper to Evan as I walk out allowing Valerie to take my place.

“He’s her mate!” I whisper yell at Evan.
“Yes, he told me after he examined her the first time.” He says softly as my mind spins.
“Evan she needs time to heal, she doesn’t need this right now.” I say as my brain races through 10 scenarios.

“I know Alison, but now that they met the mate bond will pull them together. I think this may be good for her, he can teach her how amazing the mate bond can be.” He says sweetly while pulling me in for a hug.
“All she knows about wolf relationships is what she experienced with Romeo, so hopefully Blair can help her learn what the love of the mate bond is and the power it holds.” He says softly.

“Still, wolves are pushy, is doctor Blair willing to wait for Emily to be comfortable? She’s been marked by Alpha Romeo’s whole pack. She’s not just going to trust some male wolf.” I say softly responding to him as my head lays on his chest.

“Did you trust me?” He asks.
“Well yes but that was different you never hurt me.” I answer back.
“Blair hasn’t hurt her either, and the mate bond will have the same effect on her as it did you. She will feel calm around him and the more they connect the stronger the bond will grow she will want to be around him.” He finishes as I realize he’s right. I pull away from his hug looking up in to his perfect crystal blue eyes, and kiss him deeply relishing in his comfort, before pulling away to go back to Emily.

I walk back in as doctor Blair is just finishing up the stitches, he covers each one in gauze and cleans up his supply’s.
“Ok Emily I will go update your file and I will be back, I will be spending the night here to make sure you have no complications from surgery.” He states with a big smile leaving the room.

“Emily.” I say grabbing her hand. “Doctor Blair is your mate.” I say softly and she shakes her head aggressively.
“Alpha Romeo said he was my mate.” She says looking down as if she’s ashamed.
“Emily, Alpha Romeo abused you and made you think he was your mate. The way he treated you isn’t how mates treat one another.” I say softly as she looks up to me.

“The feeling you got when doctor Blair touched you is because of the mate bond, he will make sure your safe, a mate won’t ever hurt you the way Alpha Romeo did. I promise you can trust doctor Blair, when he stays with you tonight you can ask him anything you want to about the mate bond, you don’t need to be afraid of him.” I say as I crawl in her bed and she nods in response.

“I’m going to go get dinner.” Evan says in a calm voice. I nod as I wrap my arms around Emily, once he’s out of the room and we are finally alone I turn to Emily as she bursts in to tears.
“I know.” I say softly while running my fingers through her hair.
“You’ll be ok now, I’m sorry this happened to you, we shouldn’t have split up.” I say as she continues to cry.

“I never thought id see you again.” She chokes out past her tears.
“Emily, is there anything you want to talk about before anyone gets back?” I ask as she shakes her head against me still crying.
“Are you sure?” I ask again.

“I understand you went through a lot in the bloodstone pack, and I’m hear for you. If there’s anything you need to talk about you can talk with me, I will always be here for you.” I say running my hands through her hair.
“I just want you.” She says softly not letting me go. After everything we’ve been through she is the strongest person I know. We will start a new life together here in the pack, we both have mates and we can start are own family’s I picture it as I sit holding my sobbing friend.

After Evan gets back Emily and I eat as she struggles to even swallow her food, doctor Blair has her on IV nutrition until she’s able to eat properly. Soon I say goodnight to her and go up to bed with Evan. I don’t even want to leave her every fibre of my body is screaming for me to stay with her. But I know that she’s safe and Blair will take care of her.

“What’s going to happen to Alpha Romeo?” I ask Evan as we both undress to get in to the shower.
“Well I’ve involved the board, we have photos of the abuse and we will get Emily’s statement and then we can start prosecution. Once Alpha Romeo’s title has been stripped from him the board will hold a meeting to pick a new Alpha based on connection to the pack, rank, age, and strength, as well as ability to lead.” He states while I turn the taps on stepping in under the hot water.

“What happens to him after his titles stripped.” I ask softly.
“Well the board will decide weather to banish him, imprison him, or sentence him to death.” He says without blinking as I look to my fingers and nod.
“Death penalty would be kind to him. He should suffer the way his pack has suffered, the way he allows his women to suffer.” I say coldly as Evan rubs his hands over my body softly and the water pounds down around us.

He wash’s my hair as I let my body relax beneath his touch, I didn’t realize how hard I have been holding my body all day. Every muscle aches, my mind is exhausted and I melt at the touch of my mate.
