Chapter 70.
Evans POV

I wake the next morning with Alisons small body wrapped around me, I pull her on top of my chest as she groans and I adjust our blanket. She’s so tiny and perfect, how did I get so lucky to find this woman.

She stirs as her eyes flutter open to me and I smile kissing her forehead.
“Are you ready to get up little mate?” I ask as she snuggles deeper in to me.
“No!” She snaps before giggling pulling herself under the covers. God this stubborn little girl, I chuckle to myself.

I stand holding her in my arms as her tiny limbs start flailing around aggressively as she shrieks. I laugh loudly shaking her back and forth before tossing her on to the bed as she bounces in to a starfish making me laugh harder. She shoots me an unimpressed look as she grabs the blankets pulling them up hiding herself again and I smile watching her.

“I love you.” I say softly standing against the wall as my arms are crossed and she looks out from the covers with an accusing look making me laugh again.
“I don’t feel great, I want to stay in bed.” She states pulling the blankets up.
“Ok that’s fine I’ll come check on you at lunch.” I say as I tuck the blankets in around her and leave the room to find Salem.

I hear his light little giggle flow up the stairs as I follow it, one of the servers is making him chocolate chip waffles and bacon per his request. Goddess this kid makes me laugh, he can make anyone do anything for him.
“Good morning Salem.” I say softly taking a seat beside him as he slides a glass of juice over to me.
“I have a question.” He blurts out as the server brings over a bowl of fruit while she finishes cooking.
“Well buddy what’s your question?” I ask taking a bite as he stares straight at me.

“Are you and Alison like my mom and dad?” He asks softly as he waits for an answer, and I sit shocked.
“Well Salem, you have a mom and dad.” I say unsure of where to go with this.
“Yes, but they died. They’re gone now, the other kids at school still have their moms and dads.” He says softly looking down as I feel tears prick behind my eyes.
“Oh Salem, I’m so sorry you lost your parents at such a young age. No child should ever have to deal with that.” I say grabbing his hands as he looks up to me.

“Salem you have Alison and I, we look at you as our child so if you want to call us your parents that is your choice. But are goal isn’t to replace your parents. Ok?” I ask as he nods.
“I love you guys like I loved my parents, and I think I want to call you dad from now on.” He says happily as I smile and we both continue our food.

We finish eating as the server cleans the table, Salem runs to get his shoes and I put our glasses in the sink.
“Ok buddy you ready for school?” I call as his little feet come racing down the stairs after me.
“Yeah let’s go!” He shouts blowing passed as he runs out the door and I laugh.

We walk to his school as he runs through the grass singing a song from one of his cartoons, he runs up to his teacher happily as I wave him off and head back to my office.

Walking in I see Parker at my desk and I chuckle.
“Get used to Alpha duty’s while I was gone?” I joke as he stammers to his feet.
“I’m sorry Alpha.” He says quickly moving aside. “I thought you would have wanted a day to relax.” He finishes as I smile to him.
“It’s ok, I appreciate how much you’ve stepped up since coming here.” I answer as he nods stepping aside.

“I was about to go over the plans for the beta tournament, I was thinking we can hold it this coming weekend, if that’s ok with you?” Parker says as I look up to him from my desk.
“Yeah, if we’re able to be ready for then.” I state looking up to him from my desk. “Can you handle it solo?” I ask as his face lights up and he nods.
“I can have the arena ready, and Oliver has all ready notified the other packs and they will be sending their participants in on Friday.” He finishes as I nod allowing him to take over the beta competition.

He leaves my office to finish the last of the preparations as I turn to my paperwork, going over everything that Valerie and the twins found while I was gone. If she’s right and this witch is her mother we are going to need to figure out why she’s returned and why she wants Valerie now. I wonder if my father has any records, maybe he helped the beta hide Valerie? God I don’t even know where to start.

After an afternoon of staring at words on paper trying to put pieces together that don’t even match, I decide to go to the kitchen to bring Alison some dinner. Valerie is going to have to investigate her back ground alone, I don’t think theirs any more information I have access too. I put together a simple pasta salad with some garlic bread, pour a glass of strawberry peach juice and go upstairs to find my little mate.

I walk in our room to see her plump little bum sticking up through the blankets, I sit down beside her as her body flinches to the movement of the bed.
“Alison, I have dinner for you.” I say placing the plate on the side table moving the covers as she turns over looking at me, blinking hard to get the sleep out of her eyes.
“What is it?” She says through her sleepy little voice making me smile as I hand her the plate.

She finishes eating and rolls over ready to go back to bed when I stand.
“Do you want to take a hot bath with me?” I ask softly as her eyes flash open looking over, she quickly nods shifting under the blankets as I go to turn the water on. Walking in to the bathroom I fill the bath tub with the usual herbs and oils allowing the steam to fill the room and I hear her finally get out of the bed.

She comes in to the bathroom as I’m taking off my cloths, she’s still fully naked from this morning with just a blanket wrapped around her.
“It smells so good in here.” She says softly dropping her blanket as she walks closer, I step in to the warm water helping her in after me as we both sit down letting the water connect us in perfect relaxation.

My hands swim through the water along her body as I thrive off of her energy, the electricity our body’s create together is intense and I love being able to feel it.
“How was your day today?” She asks softly as I feel her words rumble through my chest with her back pressed in to me.
“It was good, the beta tournament is going to be held this weekend.” I tell her as she nods softly.

“Are you ok?” I ask as I her breath sharply before she answers.
“I’m fine.” She says coldly, just making me want to push more.
“You don’t seem fine, you seem off. Like you’re sad.” I say softly as her body melts against mine and I feel her warm skin as the water gently splash’s with her movements.
“I’m not sure, I just feel weird I guess, almost sad but its fine I’m sure it will pass soon.” She answers me as I nod pulling her body closer.

We stay in the bath till the water reaches room temperature and our skin has become wrinkled. She wraps herself in one of the huge fluffy towels heading back to the bed as I toss on some Pajama pants, walking back I see a lump of blankets on the bed with what I’m assuming is a small Alison hiding beneath them.

I join her in bed removing her towel before wrapping my self around her feeling her relax with me, goddess I love each and every night I spend with her. I close my eyes running my hands through her hair as she softly moans and our energy collides together as one.
