Chapter 100

Danny’s POV
‘Strategies? Strategies? What can we do?’ I say to myself, tapping my pencil on the desk in my office. I haven’t really used the office in the castle territory but I couldn’t concentrate with everyone around me and decided to come here to think.
**“If you ask me; I would separate and surround them. It’s easier for us to evaluate where their strengths and vulnerabilities are. Then we can concentrate on the best way to attack”** Jesse tells me, interrupting my thoughts.
**“I didn’t ask you, but that is something I was considering. I was also thinking of sending Cyndy and Claudia with the ladies and children. Michael and Callum will want to take them at the first opportunity they can. I won’t allow it; they will be safe in the bunkers”** I inform him.
I know Claudia and Cynthia are not going to like being sent away from the fight; but I won’t have it any other way. If we tell them they need to defend the bunkers; they may not complain about the suggestion.
**“If you say so. I’m with you on this, but I don’t like our chances”** Jesse chuckles, slinking back in my mind.
“Is this where you disappeared to” Dad says, coming into the office. “I needed to think about some different strategies and couldn’t with everyone asking me questions with what was going on” I tell him, letting out a sigh.
“Welcome to being an Alpha” he states, taking a chair in front of my desk. “Have you thought of what you would like to do?” he adds, questioning me. I look down at the blank piece of paper in front of me.
“Not really; I know what I don’t want to happen. It’s a matter of convincing Claudia and Cynthia not to join the fight with us” I tell him, taking in a breath.
“Good luck with that one. That’s a fight I don’t want to be a part of” dad chuckles; giving me a large grin.
*“Can Joanna and I come and see you?”* Todd mind links me. *“Why not; I can’t seem to hide, anyway”* I answer and the pair walk in through the door of my office. “Were you waiting outside my door?” I laugh at him.
“Yeah; I was wondering why you didn’t sense me. You normally do” Todd says, helping Joanna down onto the sofa.
“Danny; I know I can’t fight at the moment, even though I want to. I am assuming you don’t want Claudia; and Alpha Henry you don’t want Luna Jade fighting. I have an idea for the three of us to stay together, but staying away from the fight. We defend the bunkers. I will ask them to stay with me to help defend at the entrance” Joanna says and Jesse comes to the forefront of my mind.
**“We may get want we want without having to say a word”** Jesse chuckles at me.
“Proceed with your thought” I say to Joanna. “I was going to ask them if they wanted to help me. I can’t shift at the moment and I need someone who I trust to fight if they find where we are” she explains, looking hopeful at me.
I smile at Joanna and dad starts to grin. “I was hoping we could convince them to defend the bunkers and I want Cyndy to be there too. I didn’t know how I was going to bring it up to them” I tell her, letting out a small chuckle.
“If I wasn’t pregnant with Cameron Scott; I will be having an argument with Todd about going into the bunkers as well” Joanna adds, smirking at Todd. “We already had one. She didn’t need convincing to go to the bunkers. She needed convincing of sending the other ladies there as well” Todd huffs, sitting back in the sofa.
“For Goddess’s sake; we can defend ourselves just as much as you can” Joanna snarls at him.
“Please; no arguing in my office” I grin, placing my hand up to calm them down as Joanna narrows her eyes at me.
“I am well aware of how they can protect themselves. It’s not a matter of protecting themselves, it’s more to do with what has happened before. Elsie gets taken and is killed because she was trying to protect herself and stop them from hurting others. Vonny gets taken and killed because she was trying to protect herself and stop them from hurting others. Elly gets taken and killed…” “We get the picture” Todd yells over the top of me.
“I don’t want them to have the opportunity to take her. This is why we showed we all have our abilities” I concluded, sitting back in my chair.
“I won’t be taken this time” Claudia says, coming into the office. “Yeah; right” I sneer, looking at her. “No; I won’t because I won’t be fighting. Well; not fighting in the same way you will be” she says, giving me a smile and walks in with Simon, Mum, Cynthia and Jason.
“How long have you been outside the door?” Dad questions her, giving me a wink,
“Not long at all. We heard the last part of your conversation. Simon has been talking with us. The one thing Michael and Callum have been hellbent on doing since we discovered their true intentions was try and take any or all of us ladies. They don’t want anything to do with you. They know they can’t stand a chance with you” Mum informs us, sitting down next to dad.
I look at her as a frown appears on my face. She is correct; so far, they have tried to kill Tracey; took Claudia when she was 16; tried to take Chelsea; tried to take Joanna and Claudia and successfully took Mum, Joanna and Claudia. Besides having Barnaby take the opportunity to kill me; they haven’t come anywhere near myself, Jason, Tim or Rick.
“Danny; Looking at everything they have done in the past and more recently; I believe the attack will be a diversion. I am not sure why Michael and Callum want the ladies. This is who they are after and they will attack to find them” Simon informs me.
I look over at Dad, shifting my focus onto Claudia. **“Jesse; are we able to mind link Oliver. Now he can mind link?”** I ask him. **“I have no clue. You can give it a go.”**
I open up a mind link to everyone in my office and Oliver. *“Just seeing if I can mind link you and want to see if you can come to my office for a change.”*
“No response; I guess we can’t mind…” “You called” Oliver says, interrupting Dad as he walks into the office and I roll my eyes at him. “Who told you Callum wanted to kill Tracey as an infant?” I ask him. He opens his mouth and closes it again as though he is trying to work out what to tell us.
“It was an assumption, considering he was willing to kill her father to get to her. We were told by Campbell; Callum and Dorothy knew who the child was and needed to have her removed for them to proceed to do what they have to do” he explains and I can see how he would assume he was going to kill her.
“I don’t think they were going to kill her. I think they were going to take her and raise her themselves” I inform him, looking at Jason. Parker is behind his eyes and from what I can see; he wants to kill Michael, Callum or anyone else, willing to go near Tracey.
“No-one will be getting Tracey” Dad says, putting a hand on Jason’s shoulder. Jason looks down at dad’s hand and moving his eyes to dad’s face and nods.
“Can I ask you another question, Oliver?” Simon queries. “Sure” Oliver answers, finally taking a seat. “We know why Michael wants to take the ladies. Why would Callum want the ladies?” he asks him.
“I don’t know. I can…” “only imagine what he may be thin…” Oliver stops speaking as he realises, we have all been sent to Amanda’s sanctuary.
