Chapter 19

Danny’s POV
Claudia polished off three plates of her cravings before we headed back to our room. “That was disgusting” I tell her as she shrugs her shoulders at me. “I eat, what Sophia wants me to eat” she says laughing.
“Three more months and we will have our little bundle of joy in our arms” I smile at her. “Three months, two weeks and three days; give or take” she corrects me; as I sit down on the sofa next to her; looking around the room. “We are ready for it” she smirks; also looking at all the items mum purchased for us.
I put my hand on Claudia’s stomach and Sophia starts to kick it. “She likes it when you touch her” Claudia smiles. “She is feisty, like her mum” I laugh. “A fighter, like her dad” she giggles back at me.
There was a flash of light and Claudia and myself were in Amanda’s sanctuary again. “Mandy; give us some warning before you do that” Claudia fumes at the white wolf trotting her way over to us. “Sorry” she chuckles back at us. “What are we doing here?” I ask her. “Selene wants to speak with us” she informs us; as Jesse makes his way forward, nudging Amanda.
We look around the sanctuary; “where is she?” I ask Amanda. “She’ll be here” she answers, putting her head on Jesse’s back. “Claudia; Danny, I’m glad we could have another talk” Selene says coming from the edge of the territory. “You wanted to see us?” Claudia asks. “Yes; I wanted to explain a bit further about what happened today” she smiles at us.
“Danny; you need to learn how to control your emotions. The power you received; was based on your emotions” she informs us. “Alpha Henry is already teaching me how to use my aura; I release it when I am not meaning to; when I get frustrated and annoyed” I explain to her. “This is the same; when you were fighting with Henry, you may not have realised you were getting frustrated; you received power to help push him away. You need to understand your emotions; to be able to call on the extra power if it is truly needed; instead of it happening without warning” she tells me.
“Claudia; you will be able to use this power also. You have the training to be able to supress it. Help Danny; you can calm him down, where others can’t” Selene adds, looking at Claudia’s stomach.
“Goddess Selene; is there anything else we need to know about Amanda’s abilities?” Claudia asks; placing a hand on her belly. “Claudia; Amanda is no different from any other wolf. She has some extra abilities, being one of my chosen. Those abilities will help you both, retain peace for all my children. This is why you both are here; to administer peace amongst my children” she responds.
Great; not only do I have to protect Claudia; we are the voice of peace for all werewolves. Goddess Selene smirks at me “I thought you may become overwhelmed with this information; Danny. I have bent the rules a little bit for you. I have someone who would like to meet you, Claudia” she smiles at us.
We look toward the edge of the Sanctuary as two figures appear. A tear starts to trickle down my face as the two ladies beam at Claudia and myself. “Mum, Grandma Nelly” I whisper.
“Danny” Grandma Nelly screams, coming over and wrapping her arms around me. “Are you going to introduce me?” Claudia asks; smiling at me. “Umm, yes. Claudia; this is Grandma Nelly and this” I look over at my mother, “is my mum; Rachael.”
“Danny” she whispers; pulling me into her embrace as tears spill from my eyes. I couldn’t let go of her. All my life, I wanted to be able to have my mother comfort me. Now she was, I didn’t want her to stop.
“Claudia; I have been waiting a long time to meet you” Grandma Nelly says to her; “Danny talks about you all the time. That’s why we are naming the baby Sophia Janelle” she smiles back at her. A tear trickles down Grandma Nelly’s cheek; “I’m honoured” she breathlessly answers.
“Luna Rachael” Claudia calls “Mum” Mum says back to her. “Mum, can I ask you a question about what happened. Danny is overprotective of me because of the pregnancy” she says. “You want to know, what happened?” she smiles at Claudia.
“When I was pregnant with Todd, I got placenta previa and the doctors did a caesarean section before it could cause too many problems. I was meant to have another caesarean when they realised the same thing happened with Danny’s pregnancy. But Danny wanted to join us a week earlier than expected. I started bleeding and having contractions, the doctors had done the caesarean to get Danny; but I had already lost too much blood” She informs us.
We both look at her as tears filled my eyes, “It was my choice for them to do the caesarean first; we would have both died, if we hadn’t” she says smiling at me.
“Ladies” Goddess Selene calls out; “we can’t keep you too much longer” Mum says, looking at Selene. “I can see how strong you have become, Danny. You need to be there for Claudia and Sophia” she says to me. “I know, and I will be” I tell her.
“Claudia, Danny; you still need to be very wary of Todd. He is scared of his little brother and he isn’t pursuing Claudia at the moment; but he is greedy, like his father. James is only Alpha because he was mated to your mother and she passed away. He was meant to pass the Alpha roll onto Todd, which he has not done so” Grandma Nelly explains.
“I thought he had?” I tell them. “You stopped the celebration. Todd’s intention was to become Alpha and discard Anastasia the next day. When he didn’t, he still told her to leave and refused to take on a Luna. James told him until he found one, he will not become Alpha” Selene explains. “He thinks Claudia is his Luna” I say aloud, not expecting a response. “He did; he has been rethinking it. You have put the fear of Goddess in him” Mum laughs.
“What about his mate?” Claudia asks her. Selene smirks at her; “he rejected her, the day after she turned 18. She was not; what did he call it? ‘His type,’ I believe.” “What a fuckhead” I yell.
“Learn how to use your emotions, Danny. You both need to be there for one another; help one another. I am here if you need me” Goddess Selene says. “I love you” Mum and Grandma Nelly say together giving Claudia and I a kiss and all three ladies head to the edge of the sanctuary. Goddess Selene stops and looks back at us; “tell your father, Claudia. He will be able to help” she says, leaving the sanctuary.
There was another flash of light and we are both in our room again. I was on the floor and Claudia was laid out, on the sofa. “We need to tell Mandy; she needs to make sure we are lying down before she takes us to her sanctuary. You and the baby could have been hurt” I scowl. “No, she just told me, she made sure we were safe before coming over after us” she laughs as I get myself up off the floor.
“What did Selene mean by tell Dad?” I ask her. “We need to tell Dad about the sanctuary and how the energy is powered by emotion like our Alpha Aura” she replies. I open up a mind link *“Dad, have you finished the training session for today? Claudia and I need to talk with you” “Yes; I am heading to my office now”* he responded. *“Can you come to our room first?”* Claudia asks him. *“I’ll be there shortly.”*
I sit back on the sofa; contemplating how much or how little to tell dad. “Goddess Selene wouldn’t tell us, to tell dad, if she doesn’t want him to know everything” I say out loud to myself. “That’s what I thought too. She would have said; tell him about the emotions or tell him about the Sanctuary” Claudia announces, agreeing with me.
“What’s up?” Dad asks coming through the door. “You need to have a seat, Dad. We need to explain a few things to you” I inform him.
“I’ll start because I need to tell him about some things that happened when I was kidnapped” Claudia tells us. “The energy that Danny had pushed you back with; I knew I was able to use it. When I was locked in the dungeon; they didn’t have me chained because they wanted me whole; so, I could mate with Alfie” she begins; pausing to take a breath, to stop the tears from flowing.
I put my arm around her shoulders, for encouragement. She closes her eyes; when she opens them; they were gold. “Amanda?” I question. “It’s ok, Claudia is here with me; she would like me to tell you what happened. Alfie came into the cell she was being held in. He put a silver knife to her throat and told her to get undressed.”
“Dad; did you kill Alfie? Because I sure want to” I spit. “Let her finish and then, I will answer your question” Dad says.
“She started to undress herself; Alfie lowered the knife to grab her chest. She grabbed him by his manhood and threw him across the room; with the same energy you used on Pappa Wolf, Danny. No-one dared to rape her, for fear of their manhood being fried. They asked her what she did and told them she didn’t know; that is when they beat her and stabbed her in the arms and legs. They didn’t want to touch anything else because they still thought, Alfie would be able to mate with her. She came to the conclusion I had done something to him” Amanda finishes and Claudia comes back and starts sobbing.
“To answer your question, Danny; no, I did not” Dad says. I growl at the information, then dad smirks at me “Cameron and Scott did. That’s how they lost their lives; Michael took revenge on the pair immediately and killed them for killing both his sons.”
“Dad, Goddess Selene told us to tell you; the energy that was used is like our Alpha Auras. I was able to use it, because of my emotions. She wants me to learn how to control my emotions so I can use it, if needed. Not by accident” I inform him. He raises his eyebrows at me; “I have a few questions for you both. First of all; you have been talking to Goddess Selene?”
“Only a couple of times. Amanda is able to take our conscience into her sanctuary; that is how she was able to speak with Danny when he withdrew in himself regarding the pregnancy” Claudia answers him. “That answers my next question; how you were able to talk with her.” “There’s more” I tell him. “Of course, there is” Dad exclaims.
“Grandma Nelly said...” “Hang on;” Dad interrupts me; putting his hand up to stop me from speaking. “Grandma Nelly?”
Claudia giggles at her father’s confusion; “Dad, Goddess Selene said Amanda is no different from any other wolf. Yes, she has additional abilities; but that is to help us restore peace for all werewolves; that is the reason for Selene’s chosen children. Danny was a ‘tad bit’ overwhelmed by that information. Goddess Selene thought he may have been and said she was breaking the rules a bit for us and Luna Rachael and Grandma Nelly came to see us. What Danny was trying to tell you; Grandma Nelly said although Todd has relinquished his thought of me becoming his Luna because he is scared of Danny; we still have to be wary of him and James for that matter. James still hasn’t passed the Alpha roll onto him, because Danny stopped the ceremony” she says, finishing what I was starting to say.
“Is there anything else?” he asks; bewildered. “No; I don’t thin… Wait;” I smirk contemplating if there is anything else to say. “No” I answer him, shaking my head. “In that case; Danny, your next lot of training will be with Isabella. You need to learn how to control your emotions” he tells me.
