Chapter 124

Danny’s POV
**“I can’t keep doing this”** I tell Amanda, walking out the front of the packhouse to Oliver’s office. Jesse and Amanda had swapped places for the last two days and it was starting to wear me down. I love Mandy, but I needed Jesse back. I wanted to talk strategies with him because I want to end this reign of terror once and for all.
**“I’ll swap back. It’s noted you are sick of my presence”** Amanda huffs, walking to the back of my mind.
**“I’m not sick of your presence”** I sigh to her as no reply comes back. **“Mandy; I love you but I want to talk to Jesse about the next steps to take. We need to end this and I need Jesse’s help.”**
**“And I want to end it too”** Jesse smirks in my mind. **“Mandy’s pissed at yo…” “No, I’m not and it’s Amanda”** Amanda snarls, cutting Jesse off. **“I love you too”** she adds before leaving my mind.
Walking into Oliver’s office, I take a seat on the chair and wait for Simon, Jason and Matthew to show up as Todd comes through the doorway. “I didn’t ask you to come?” I spit at my brother.
“I did” Oliver says to me. “Danny; I know you are worried about him and the future of both your packs. You need him as much as he needs you.” I nod as Matthew comes through the doorway. “Sally said she heard whispers Dorothy, Penelope and Josiah are hiding out in the Black Coven” he says, taking a seat next to me. “I had Simon go to investigate. I’ve asked Sariah to come down too.”
**“Why don’t we ask the whole kingdom to come in, while we are at it”** I spit at Jesse in my mind as Simon, Tim, Rick, Claudia, Cynthia and Jason come through the doorway. **“Most of them are here now; let’s invite the rest of them.”**
**“Settle petal”** Jesse states, nudging me in my mind. **“We need everyone. I know you don’t want anyone else to suffer the same fate as Pappa Wolf. With everyone working together; we are more likely to succeed.”**
I narrow my eyes at him. I know he is right; I don’t want others to feel the same way I do. **“You’re right”** I sigh turning my attention back to the room as Sariah, Raquel and Phyliss walk in.
“You were saying?” I question Matthew.
“According to Sally; they are hiding in the Black Coven. They are the ones to put the spells around the castle, we discovered. Thanks to Sariah; they were able to be lifted. They have a few followers still there; not many.” “From my recognisance you asked me to do, Jeremy, Liam and I were able to verify they are there. We were discovered and Jeremy is still recovering for the electric shock he got. If we can penetrate the barriers they put into place, we should be able to get them” Simon finishes Matthew’s information.
“Do you think they will leave, knowing we found where they are?” Raquel asks as nods were given by Claudia, Todd and Phyliss.
“Perhaps” Simon voices, looking over at Cynthia. “I have Brett and Eli there standing watch. I haven’t heard back from them this morning.”
Oliver’s eyes glaze over for a moment; **“He must be contacting them”** I say to Jesse. **“No shit”** he chuckles as I roll my eyes at him.
“Brett and Eli are still there. There hasn’t been any movement. If they are gone, they haven’t walked out” Oliver voices as Sariah contemplates something.
“I was reading some of the old scrolls Cody brought with him. There is an ancient spell we can use to stop anyone from teleporting in or out of the area” Sariah states, shifting in her seat. “Although, it won’t be beneficial if they have already been teleported out of the coven.”
“How would we get in and out of there with a spell to stop us?” Claudia voices as we all turn to Sariah.
“I will have to recheck the scrolls” Sariah exclaims, standing up from her seat. “It may mean we teleport further away and walk to the coven” she adds, before leaving the office.
“She could have waited until we finished the meeting” I hear Tim chuckle in the corner as Simon growls at him to shut up as a message comes on Matthew’s phone.
“They are still there” Matthew states; putting his phone back in his pocket. “Eli said Josiah walked close to the border just after Oliver mind linked them. They must think it’s safer to stay then go elsewhere.”
“Then we see what Sariah can do to stop them from being teleported out. When does everyone want to go get them?” I voice as Jesse sits up in my mind. **“What?”** I question him.
**“It’s all too easy; yet again”** Jesse explains as I look over at Oliver who nods at me; seeming to know what I was discussing with him.
“Are you sure you can’t listen into my conversation with my wolf?” I chuckle at Oliver who smirks at me. His been listening into our conversations with our wolves for a while.
“I did that time when I saw your eyes glaze over” he laughs, shifting in his seat. “Apollo told me I could eavesdrop if I wanted to. Not that I would; the bond between a man and his counterpart is sacred. I wanted to hear what Jesse had to say and yes; it does seem too easy.” “Yeah, that was a lie then as it’s a lie now. You listen in when you need to” Todd chants as Simon, myself and Claudia snicker.
**“We are looking at this all wrong”** I say to Jesse before smirking toward Oliver. **“I know your listening again Oli. You might as well make yourself known. Think back; we all assumed Hades was contacting Callum and Dorothy was there with him being his mate. We have all spoken with Goddess Selene through Mandy. What if he was contacting Dorothy not Callum.”**
**“Are you sure?”** Oliver asks me. Personally, I am not sure because Hades told the Gods and Goddess’ he appointed Callum as his chosen. At least that was the impression I got. **“If that’s the case; why not leave when we know where they are?”** Oliver states as though he is another wolf in my mind.
**“I don’t know”** I say to both as Amanda comes forward too. **“It’s starting to get cramped in here”** I chuckle.
**“Claudia asked me to spy as well”** Mandy snickers, sitting down next to Jesse. **“Maybe they have more people there than we think. Like Nesbeth did”** she adds as Oliver, Jesse and I contemplate what she is saying.
“Can someone please tell me what’s going on?” I hear Todd yell in the background as Oliver and I both focus back on the room.
“We aren’t sure” Oliver says, looking over at me. “We are trying to figure out if Callum wasn’t the person Hades chose after all. It may have been Dorothy and if our calculations are right, we need to get Eli and Brett out of there now to regroup and work out what we need to do.”
“I’m on it” Matthew states, letting out the breath he was holding and sending a message to Eli.
“If that is what happened; how did we not pick up on it?” Raquel questions, looking between Oliver and myself.
“Because we all assumed it was Callum he was contacting. From what we were told; he had contacted Callum and Dorothy. It may have been Dorothy all along and we shouldn’t have assumed it was a male. Phyllis and Bee are a force to be reckoned with and neither of them are male. Not to mention; Raquel, Sariah and I are female. Assuming made an ass out of you and me” Claudia inputs as Todd, Tim and Rick roll their eyes at her.
“And why would Michael continue having Penelope around. I don’t think it’s because he wanted her; I think Dorothy wanted her there” Phyllis injects with a smile. “It’s all starting to make sense now. Michael was a bigger asshole than lead to believe. He kept Penelope around to get closer to Dorothy.”
We all sit offering our input as a flash of light comes into my mind and we are standing in the god’s chambers again.
“What the fuck?” I hear Tim exclaim as Selene, Hecate, Apollo, Bastet, Artio, Demi Goddess Mum; Dad, Brenda and Tracey walk through the doorway.
“Language, Timothy” Goddess Selene says as Tim gulps, being reprimanded for swearing.
“Goddess; what are we doing here?” I ask, taking a seat as Jesse places his head on my lap.
“That will be revealed shortly” Mum says, giving me a smile. “We are waiting on one more person.”
