Chapter 69

Oliver’s POV
“Craig, please come in and take a seat” I announce; pointing to a chair in front of Danny, Claudia, Todd and Henry. We deliberately placed the chair in this spot to allow all four Alpha Aura’s to surround him.
“I’m surprised you haven’t tried to escape or come up with a plan for release, like Todd here” I continue as he looks at me; I can feel the Aura’s as he looks around him. “I am safer in your cell, than out of it” he concludes as I look at Danny who nods his head regarding the confession.
“We have a few questions for you” Henry injects to the conversation. “You opened the files on James’ computer?” Craig asks as I look between Danny and Claudia. “Yes” Danny answers him. “It is clear, James and yourself are not as stupid as some of us thought, as you did not trust Michael and Callum; and you had every right not to, considering what Michael had done to James” I tell him, pausing to see if he will answer on his own. He remains quiet.
“How did you come about getting these files?” Claudia asks, releasing her Aura a bit more. “I’m going to answer your questions. I don’t need 4 Alphas surrounding me” he snarls, before continuing. “James noticed Callum’s instability when you asked him to leave 16 years ago. He asked him, if there was anything he could do to help with the situation and got the reply he was going to stay on the Diamond Moon Pack with an old friend; Michael” he answers.
“You are not answering the question” Todd fumes at him, as Danny looks at him, surprised. “Hold your bladder” Craig spits and looks back to me. “We didn’t start the files at that time; we didn’t really care what they were doing. It was after you were taken, James asked me to investigate why they would take a young girl” he continues, looking at Claudia.
“How did you find out the information?” Sariah asks him. “Dianna. She’s known about, all of Michael’s mistresses; including Jade and Penelope. Michael thinks he is entitled to have more than one mate and he has continuously told Dianna this. It is why he was upset when Henry came along and Jade chose him over Michael. He believes Jade belongs to him” Craig explains.
“I belong to no-one” Jade snarls at him and Henry places his hand on her leg. “So why does someone who is against two different species mating; can be intimate with one another. To the point they have a child together” I ask him and he looks around the room. “You know about Josiah and Alexis?” he asks the room.
“It wasn’t hard to figure it out, Uncle Craig” Todd chuckles, looking at him. “To answer your question, I don’t have any idea what they are thinking. She’s cute but a real bitch. I wouldn’t touch her with a 40-foot barge pole” he says; “no, you prefer your women get paid for their services. That way you don’t have to speak to them and find out they have more to offer than sex” Chelsea snarls, coming into the room.
“Welcome Chelsea, I’m glad you could make it” I tell her as she gives Tim a kiss and sits down next to him. Craig shuffles in his chair “Uncomfortable, Craig?” Danny asks him. “Ah; no” he answers and Henry shakes his head at me.
“Is there an issue with Chelsea being here? She and her mate Timothy have spent a few days away from one another and I thought she needed to spend time with him” I tell Craig, who shifts again and sits up in his chair to stop himself from fidgeting.
“No; we can proceed” he answers, looking directly at Chelsea. “You don’t think it’s weird; Penelope and Michael are together when they oppose one another to become King or Queen of their particular species?”
“Is that what you think?” Craig laughs; looking around the room. “Is that not what is happening? Callum wants to become King of the Vampires? And Michael wants to become King of Werewolves” I ask him.
“Callum doesn’t want to become King of just Vampires; he wants to become king of everyone. He tried 16 years ago and was cast out; He is using Michael and Penelope’s relationship to his own advantage. They have been together longer than Dianna and Michael have been mated. Michael tells her she is his first and only true love.” “He is a one hit wonder; he would tell me that, also. I am glad I got out of there” Jade giggles.
“Callum has promised them, when he is King; they will be ambassadors for him; thus, all werewolves and werecats will have to report to them. Callum believes; once he becomes King, he will have control over all species and they will have to pay him ‘taxes, per se’” Craig continues.
“King; Ambassador; same thing. They want to rule over everyone. That is not what we do; nor what anyone wants” Danny spits at him. “Perhaps not; Error…” “He’s name is Daniel. Don’t you forget that or I will rip your head off” Todd yells and everyone including myself gasp at Todd’s reaction to Craig.
“We are getting off track. Why does Callum want to be King of the everyone?” Joanna asks him. “Joanna, since when do you have a say on what happens?” Craig questions as Todd punches the side of his face. “Have more respect for you Luna. Were you really this much of an asshole? Danny, were we really this much of an asshole to you?” Todd asks, surprised.
“You were worse; Craig; answer Jo’s question” Danny says, releasing his aura again. “Power, I believe. He thinks you aren’t a good enough king. You don’t ask for taxes; you are friends with everyone and to top it off; you can’t make a decision without consulting council. You are too weak to rule” Craig says as I growl at him. “Callum’s words, not mine” he includes, shifting back in his chair.
“What he wants to do, is destroy civilisation as we know it. Whether you are a vampire, human, werewolf or witch. It does not matter; we cannot allow it” I yell; looking at Danny. “He won’t stop until he gets what he wants and he has a lot of people following him” Craig says, looking directly at me.
“Who is following him, exactly?” Jason asks Craig, who shifts in his chair again. “I don’t know who they are or how many there are. Callum promised James a seat on his council to represent werewolves, under Michael. James wasn’t too happy with this decision and made it known to Callum. Michael and James never did get along; we knew about Danny and who he was because Callum told us…” “And you and Dad continued to make me believe he was a nobody who killed mum?” Todd screams at him.
“We only found out after he left. It was after, you took Danny, Jason and Henry to get Claudia. We were told about you, Tim and Rick by the descriptions Callum gave us. He doesn’t want you together. When Tim wanted to come back, he told them he thinks he knows where you all were and we may have one of them on our side. They came to see what is happening and realised Danny was in fact James’ son and Michael went off at him. He didn’t accept James’ explanation and did not know who he was, until it was too late” Craig informs us, looking around the room.
I look over at Henry, Claudia, Danny and Todd; each of them is nodding their head at me. “Who is the witch or warlock, notifying them of me” Sariah asks Craig. “They don’t have one, to my knowledge. Callum knows who you are because he has been keeping an eye on you. He knows your father was Malachi and you would be the next chosen witch” He informs her.
“Are there any more questions, we need to ask him?” I ask around the room; my eyes landing on Chelsea, who opens her mouth and shuts it again. “Ask anything you want to know, Chelsea” I say to her with a smile.
“Did you ever love me or mum?” she says, looking at him. “Of course, I did” he snaps back at her. “Then why did you treat us like a piece of shit under your shoe?” she snarls, a tear rolling down her cheek. “I was young and naive; I didn’t know what I wanted” Craig answers her and Claudia starts shaking her head vigorously.
“Don’t shake your head; that is the truth” he spits at Claudia and Jesse comes forward growling at him. “We know that part isn’t the lie; the lie is you didn’t know what you wanted. You wanted Gemma; you didn’t want Chelsea” he snarls.
“I didn’t want kid’s period. Gemma wouldn’t get an abortion. How can I love something, I didn’t want?” he says, looking at Chelsea, who now has tears streaming down her face. “A child isn’t an object. A child is someone you cherish and nurture. Love unconditionally because they are your flesh and blood. You make me sick. Get him out of here before I rip him apart” Jesse screams as two guards come into the room and take Craig out the door.
“I’m sorry, Chels. I’m disgusted he is related to us” Todd says, forcing a smile. “He is no father of mine and I am not related to him” she snaps, as Tim puts his arms around her.
“We need to leave it for today. Let’s regroup and get back into it tomorrow” I tell everyone as they all get up and start heading out the door. “Oliver; we will find them and stop them” Jesse says and let’s Danny come forward again.
“Go home and spend some time with Sophia” I say to Danny and Claudia. Claudia gives me a hug; “We will figure this out” she says and her and Danny walk out the door.
