Chapter 131

Claudia’s POV
We teleported to a place 10 miles north of the coven and we were walking south in silver and bronze chains. Everyone except Jeffrey, Campbell and Amelia. When the plan was being constructed on how we were going to be escorted as prisoners to the coven; Sariah informed us witches and warlocks weren’t affected by silver like werewolves. Bronze however; stopped them from casting spells.
As Campbell tightened his grip on Amelia’s arm; she slowly discarded fake tears because Oliver was officially pronounced dead this morning. In reality; Oliver denounced his thrown in front of two councilmen; Jeffrey and Campbell; and Rodney was given the title.
We left ten minutes later. Walking through the wooded area near the coven; I look over to my left and see Brett and Eli grinning at us. They gave a small nod and headed in the other direction as Jeffrey pulled us and Campbell pulled Amelia gently through the forest to the coven border.
“State your purpose” a male voice asked as we crossed the border. Before we could comprehend who was asking; a man with sandy blonde hair appeared in front of us.
“I’m here to see my sister and I have brought guests for her” Campbell says, a smirk appearing on his face as Jeffrey tugs the chains to move us forward.
“And you are?” the man questions, turning his focus on Campbell. **“Funny; I thought he would ask who we were”** Amanda states in my mind. **“He probably already knows”** I state back to her.
“Campbell; Dorothy’s brother” Campbell answers the man. “And this here is Jeffrey. The kings right hand man; or should I say ex right hand man, since he was the one to kill him on my orders” he adds beaming a smile at the man.
The man narrowed his eyes towards Sariah. “What are you doing here?” he asks Sariah, cocking an eye at her. “What does it look like I am doing here, Roland?” She snarls through gritted teeth. “I’m being dragged around like a fucking dog on a fucking bronze chain.”
“Dot asked me to kill the vampire king and bring her all the female chosen wolves” Campbell states as Jeffrey yanks the chains again. “We had to chain them to get them here” he adds, still beaming his smile at the man; we now know as Leader Roland.
Roland nods his head and waves his hand and we are instantly moved from the wooded area to a large wooden room with a red-carpet mat in the centre. “Chairs would have been nice” Raquel’s voice echoes through the room as the rest of us try to contain our laughter.
We waited in the room for a little over an hour before we heard the lock on the door click. No-one had dared to say anything in that time; in case they were watching us. We did however have the wolves go back and forth to pass on messages for us.
Once the door opened; Dorothy walked in with Josiah, Penelope and Roland close behind her. “Well, well, well; what do we have here?” Josiah chuckles as Dorothy shoots him a deadly look before heading over to Campbell to give him a hug. “As promised” Campbell states, hugging her back.
“Milly and Jeffrey?” Dorothy questions, raising her eyebrow at him.
“What do you want with us?” I snarled before Campbell could answer her question. If looks could kill; I wouldn’t be breathing now with the glare Dorothy was giving me. “I will tell you what is happening when I am fucking ready to tell you” she says back to me. “What is Queen Ameila and Jeffrey doing here?” she asks Campbell again.
“You asked me to recruit people for your cause” Campbell answers as Jeffrey moves to stand behind him. “I recruited him and I know you would have felt the change in power. That was thanks to Jeff. He killed King Oliver and kidnapped the ladies for me. Milly on the other hand; I want by my side. I’ve always wanted her…” “I would rather die” Amelia injects cutting Campbell off.
“It can be arranged” Jeffrey snarls as Campbell places a hand on his shoulders. “Not yet” Campbell states. “I want to tame her first.”
Penelope was watching everything unfold with a scowl on her face, when she suddenly smells something. She starts sniffing the air and turns to face Sariah. “My daughter; where is she?” she spits out at her. “I can smell, Laura… On you” she adds, pulling Sariah’s hair back and staring into her eyes.
Sariah let’s Laura come forward; “Mumma; please” she says through Sariah’s body. “She did some sort of ancient spell on Lexi and I was trapped in the witch’s body. Alexis is still locked in their dungeon without me. If you kill her; you kill me and Alexis”
“She is not in any danger” I add to Laura’s comments. “Not unless you want to hurt Sariah, that is.”
“How?” Roland asks, moving over to Sariah.
Laura retreats back and Sariah smirks at him. “It is my birthright as Hecate’s chosen. I have more power than anyone in this room” she simply states, the smirk remaining on her face.
“That is until now” Dorothy states, giving Roland a small nod. Roland lifts his hands and mumbles under his breath. **“He is doing a loyalty incantation. We need to do what Dorothy asks of us”** Laura says coming into my mind and leaving just as quickly, probably to tell everyone one else. “Bow before me” Dorothy says and we all do as she asked. “That was easy. Take the chains off of them. We need to find out what they can do and conquer a kingdom.”
It took the better half of the afternoon for Dorothy ordering us to do different tasks, which we obliged her. Thankfully; we had spent the last few weeks practicing with Simon on what we could or would show her. Sariah had a few ideas on what curses and spells they would try to put over us and what we could accomplish without drawing suspicion we were only doing the bare minimum.
“Are we done?” I questioned through gritted teeth; getting off the ground, after healing a young warlock they had Denise stab with a knife. She was cursing through a mind link on having to do it but made sure it wasn’t life threatening so I was able to heal him.
“For the most part” Dorothy chuckled, moving closer to me. **“Let me come forward and I will finish this now”** Jesse spat, trying to push forward in my mind. **“You know we can’t do that”** Amanda yelled at him, as I fought to stop him from taking control. **“We have to find out who she has following her.”**
**“Then hurry up and find out”** he seethes, shrinking back into my mind.
“You know; you and I can be great together” Dorothy states, following behind me as I try to leave the wooded area near the mansion we were teleported to.
“What do you want with us?” I spat, turning on my heels to meet her glare. “You killed my friend for your own sick game and had to use magic to get me to comply. You may as well lock me up in silver because I won’t be staying.” **“What are you doing?”** Jesse gasps, coming forward again. **“Getting information”** I answer him.
“That won’t be necessary. We have a spell around the perimeter. You try to leave; you will be automatically teleported back to the chamber room…” “Is that what you call that room. It looked like a holding cell to me” I fumed, cutting her off as Jesse rushed out of my mind. Good thing, I didn’t need to tell him to go tell the others.
“Same thing” Dorothy laughs. All I could do was focus my glare on her. Taking another step forward; “Like I said, we could be good together. With your abilities; you and I could rule the world. Human and supernatural alike.”
“I don’t want to rule the world” I stated, turning on my heels and taking a few more steps toward the mansion. “I can find my own way to my room.”
I walked inside the house and up the stairway, opening doors as I went. I wanted to see where each door led and who was where. “Excuse me” a lady with long blonde curls in a maid’s outfit calls out. “Luna Claudia, your room is down the hall.”
“Thank you…” “Chasity” the maid said. “Chasity. You are a witch here?”
“Not willingly” she said under her breath as she nodded my way. Even though it was barely a whisper; I could still hear her. I head towards the room with Chasity following behind. Opening the doorway, there room had the basics; a double bed with a plain blue blanket. No bedside table; no other lighting except the lightbulb in the centre of the ceiling. “Through that door is a small bathroom and just a small closet to the side” she adds, coming into the room to show me.
I glance around the room, once more before turning back to Chasity. “Do you have a pen and paper handy?” I ask as Chasity walks out of the room without answering. “I guess not” Jesse huffs, coming back into my mind. “Who was that?”
Amanda rolls her eyes at him, before explaining who she was. I zoned out of their conversation and sat down on the bed before Chasity came bustling through the doorway with what I asked for. I took the notepad and pen from her and opened up the first page.
In big letters, it said “HELP ME.”
