Chapter 47

Danny’s POV
“What have you found out Oliver?” I ask, heading into my office. Dad converted Betta Cameron’s office into an office for me and Jason and Cynthia are sharing Gamma Paul’s old office. “Well Alpha Daniel” Oliver starts answering, smirking as I cringe a little at being called Alpha. “We realised who was sending messages to Callum. It was all pretty innocent; Callum’s mate Dorothy was receiving updates of what was happening in the castle via her brother. He told her you were visiting” Oliver informs us.
“Does he know what they are planning?” Claudia asks him. “Not to our knowledge; Campbell said she missed everyone there and asked what was happening. He just thought he was updating her with what was going on. He said he will restrict what he tells her in the future” Jeffrey answers her.
“What am I going to tell James and Todd about Sariah?” Tim asks, looking at Sariah. “Continue what you told them last night. Claudia and I met at a leadership camp and she invited us to the ceremony” Sariah informs him. “They kept asking who you were. I told them I will find out and tell them today. What do you want me to say?” he asks, looking in my direction.
“Tell them we wouldn’t tell you” Simon responds. “It’s best to keep their identity a secret” Dad includes and Tim nods at the pair of them. “I will find out what they know and report back this evening when Mandy sends me to her sanctuary” Tim informs us.
“Are you packed and ready to go?” I ask Tim. “Yep; just waiting to head up to the border. Chelsea told me what happened when she came back to the dining hall” Tim remarks, looking at Chelsea.
“I had to make it believable” she giggles. “You didn’t have to call me a dickhead and say you were contemplating rejecting me if I didn’t change” Tim huffs as a few of us cover our mouths to stop us from laughing. “You got your apple pie; stop complaining” Chelsea laughs.
“James really bought the two of you were fighting. He came up to Chelsea and asked if he could help and she told him to fuck off” Claudia says, still holding in her laughter. “I set the wheels in motion last night. I told the pair Claudia is just a typical she-wolf and Danny is the one with added abilities. They asked me about Oliver; I said Alpha Henry introduced you to Danny and didn’t know who was with you. James told me, Jeffrey your butler and he didn’t know the human. I said he was probably some lacky who worked for you” Tim informs us; as Tracey breathes a sigh of relief.
“James met me the same time your mum did, Danny” Jeffrey tells us. “I also told them Carter was the one who suggested we go back because he doesn’t like Jesse” Tim chuckles. **“What the fuck? I’m loved by everyone”** Jesse snorts. “Jesse needs his happy place, he’s so hurt. He reckons he is loved by everyone” “Everyone, except Todd” Tim retorts. **“The feeling is mutual”** he chuckles, slinking back into my mind
“I suppose we better start heading to the border, Jason and Rick; you are with us. Remember; Tim and I are the only ones to use the abilities; I don’t want to show our hand with either of you just yet” I tell them as the four of us leave the office. “We will stay a few yards back and let you walk to the border. I will call out running to have you stop, then you will produce the sword and I will throw you a few times until you are over the border” I tell Tim, heading out of the front of the pack.
“I’m ready” he tells me, as we reach the trees near the packhouse. We all remain quiet until we get 200 metres from the border. “You go from here, mind link me and let me know, if Todd and James are there” I add, giving him a fist pump. “Will do” as he fists pumps Jason and Rick, picking up his duffle bag and heads toward the border.
*“Shit; Callum and Michael are there too” “Good, the more the merrier to see me throwing your ass over the border”* I chuckle and take off running behind him. “Tim; get your ass back to the packhouse” I boom, as Rick, Jason and I run up behind him. “You can’t make me. You are not my Alpha” he screams back at me, conjuring a sword from thin air and running back in my direction. I throw Tim and the sword disappears.
“How dare you use my gift to you, against me?” I scream as he gets off the ground and conjures another sword and starts to come at me again. I throw him back again, then again until he is over the border; the sword disappearing. James’ eyes are wide as Todd runs to Tim and helps him off the ground. “Don’t ever step foot on this territory again” I yell, turning on my heels, with Jason and Rick backing away either side of me; staring at Michael and Callum.
“Interesting, Michael and Callum were with them” Rick exclaims, as we get back to the packhouse. “James probably thought he needed backup. In case something went wrong” Jason says, following in behind us. “Let’s tell Dad, Oliver and Sariah” I tell them heading up the stairs two at a time.
“Did you show them?” Claudia asks, as we come back into my office. “Not only did we show James and Todd; Callum and Michael were with them. Guess we wait for tonight to find out what they were doing there” I inform everyone in the office. “James’ eyes went wide with the fight; Callum and Michael had complete poker faces. I couldn’t tell if they were surprised or not” Rick includes to our discussion.
“At least we definitely know they are all working together” Oliver answers, letting out a long breath as Chelsea gets a message on her phone. “I’ll tell you what it actually says and then what it really means. ‘Last chance to come with me. Todd is being Todd. If I don’t hear back from you, I will take the hint.’ “And what does it mean?” Sariah asks, looking at Chelsea. “He is saying; They know I won’t be coming over. Todd and James are scared of Danny’s abilities and I will see you later tonight” she tells us.
“You got all of that from the message?” Cynthia asks, looking down at Chelsea’s phone. “He told me what he was going to message and what each thing meant. ‘Last chance to come with me mean; I told them you are not coming. If he said Todd is intrigued by Danny, that meant Todd wants to kidnap Danny again. He just said he is being himself. At the moment; it means they are scared you might be able to kill them without even touching them, I imagine” she giggles.
“It was smart thinking by both of you to come up with a rouse; getting him to send a message without them knowing he was sending a message” Dad chimes in, smiling at Chelsea. “We figured if they went through his phone; they wouldn’t know any different” she replies.
“What do you mean by the last part of the message, meaning he will see us tonight?” Leon asks her. “Oh; if he couldn’t make it tonight because they don’t trust him or something. He was going to say, I want you to reconsider coming over with Jacob. He was telling me not to message back by saying If he doesn’t hear back from me and will be ready to go to Mandy’s sanctuary with, I will take the hint.”
“Smart. Not something I would have said about Tim; but it was” Jason chuckles. “He has surprised us all; what he is capable of” Simon says, proudly.
“Dad; are you and mum able to look after Jacob tonight? We might be a while with Tim” Chelsea asks Simon. “I already asked Lorry; she has set up a bed in our room for him” Simon answers her, smiling.
“What time did you tell Tim?” Oliver asks, looking at Dad and I. “10pm. He said he can easily fool those around him, pretending to be asleep. Carter is still staying back, just in case” I answer him.
“We will meet in the morning, before we head home” Oliver says, getting up from his chair. “I want to see if your Omega Joslyn has anymore of the apple pies she made. They are the best I have had in a long time. You may want to be careful; I might pinch her for my kitchen” he adds. “Over our dead body” Claudia screams at him as Oliver opens his mouth to respond and then shuts it again; thinking twice about it.
“We will see everyone then” I announce as I move from behind my desk as everyone heads out the door. “Are you ok, my courageous fighter?” Claudia asks, giving me a hug. “Yeah; I hope Tim is ok and doesn’t get hurt because of me” I respond. “He will be fine. Chelsea told us what the text message meant and we will be able to talk with him tonight” she says, kissing me.
