Chapter 125
Danny’s POV
Once Mum told us they were waiting for one more person; we all looked at each other, contemplating who it might be. We weren’t waiting for long as a door opens and Jesse and the other counterparts start growling. I swear I heard Oliver let off a grumble too.
“I’m here to fucking help you” Hades growls, moving to where the others were standing. “If your fucking counterparts don’t stop; I will leave again.”
“Watch your fucking attitude” Hecate screams; throwing a fireball at the god of the underworld who deflects and it smashes on the wall behind us.
“You worked out, Dorothy was my chosen” Hades says with snarl. I couldn’t tell if he was angry or impressed, we were smarter than he thought. This leaves us with more questions than answers as the underworld god grins at me. “Don’t worry, young Alpha; Callum was arrogant also; claiming he was the rightful chosen being male. Since I wasn’t allowed to tell her to leave you alone; you are on your own.”
“Why did you send them after us in the first place?” Simon asks, patting the back of Sebastian’s head to stop him from growling again.
“Nesbeth; mainly” Hades responds, giving him a half smile. “She’s a good fuck and I wanted to keep her happy and Dorothy wanted to avenge her mother; used Callum to do it since he is a greedy fucker. It’s so easy to persuade people when they possess any of the deadly sins.”
Claudia rolls her eyes at him; “Men; always thinking with the thing between their legs. Even a god isn’t immune to it” she says, causing us all to laugh at her comment.
“How can you help us?” I ask him as Oliver smiles in my direction. “And why should we believe you?”
Hade looks towards the goddesses and other god in the room as Apollo speaks up; “He isn’t allowed a chosen, it causes too many issues. If he wants to remain; he must give his full support or face the vengeance of all the other gods.”
“It was a matter of helping or be destroyed” Bastet says, frowning at the god of the underworld. “He chose to help.”
“As you know; we can’t step in and remove them from the world because it will cause more of a dilemma to your existence. We can however; point you in the right direction” Selene tells everyone before focusing on Claudia and I with the last part of her sentence.
“They are in the coven you have been monitoring. Sariah; you will be able to place the spell you discovered to stop them from being teleported” Hecate states as Sariah nods her head. “You, Liam and Cody will need to put a blocking spell on each of those who go in to get them to stop magic from hurting them. That is also in the ancient scrolls passed down from Bernadette.”
“We have decided to give you the ability to shift into each other’s counterparts again. We are also including Brett, Cody, Alexis, Rodney and Hunter and stop looking at me like that Sariah and Oliver. They will be needed when the time comes” Apollo says; waving his hand as everyone hears the ringing in their ears again.
“You may not like it; they will be needed none the less” Dad mentions as Selene and mum nod their heads. “Simon, you did a great job teaching everyone how to shift when need be; you will need to teach Cody, Rodney and Hunter too.”
“When do we go to the coven?” Todd questions as we all turn back to the gods and goddesses for the answer.
“Whenever you want” Hades says, shrugging his shoulder. “Dorothy feels safer at the coven than leaving it. The only way they will leave is if you attack or breach their borders. You have only been monitoring the coven; they didn’t feel the need to go.”
“I have a question” Raquel states, raising her hand in the air. “Why did you tell the other gods and goddess’ Callum was your chosen?”
“I never told them Callum was my chosen” Hades says, giving off a chuckle. “I told them I was in contact with Callum and Dorothy. You assumed it and I said; even Callum assumed it. I never corrected it.”
“Why is the coven hiding them?” Sariah asks, narrowing her eyes at Hades before turning her focus on Hecate. “If I reach out to Leader Roland; would he allow us to get Dorothy, Penelope and Josiah?”
“Unfortunately; my child. No” Hecate answers, glaring at Hades. “Roland and his coven members are descendants of some of Nesbeth’s followers and Dorothy has used this to her advantage; isn’t that right Hades?”
Hades grumbles under his breath as Hecate throws another fireball at him; hitting him in the chest. “I may have told her how to use them and their magic since she was a descendant of one of her followers too” he answers with a snarl.
“They would attack before they let you take them” Hecate states; coming over to put her arm around Sariah. “It’s important you put the spell on your friends to stop the magic from penetrating them.”
“Jason” Tracey says, coming over to her mate. “You need to let everything happen. I know you and Jasper needs you. Don’t be the hero” she adds, giving him a kiss as a tear runs down his face. “I love you; remember that.”
As Brenda gives Matthew a hug and Dad and Demi Goddess Mum gives Claudia, myself and Todd a hug; another light flashes and we are sent back to Oliver’s office to have Jeffrey, Rodney, Hunter, Amelia, Liam, Cody and mum were standing over us. “We tried to stop them; sir” Jeffrey said, frowning at Cody, Alexis, Rodney and Hunter
I look around the room, there was moustaches and drawings all over our faces with a marker pen. Oliver rolls his eyes at his two sons, Cody and Alexis as chuckles and giggles sounded throughout the office.
