Chapter 85

Danny’s POV
I knew it wasn’t going to be easy to move the River Moon Pack to Oliver’s castle. And it’s even harder with me helping. People are being way too nice and it’s making me nervous. **“They need to get over themselves**” Jesse growls. He is been at the forefront of my mind since we got here. Ready to pounce on anyone ready to lay a hand on me. **“Todd has told everyone, if they look like they are going to hurt me. He will banish them without another thought. Maybe that’s why they are being overly respectful”** I respond to him.
**“I’m over Anastasia. Who does she think she is? Trying to cuddle up to both you and Todd in front of Honey Cakes and Joanna.” “What is with that? She is the last person; I expected to come near me”** I answer him.
“There’s my mate” I hear Anastasia call out behind me and I roll my eyes at Jesse before turning around to face her. “For the last time Ana; you rejected me and I rejected you, remember? I have found a new mate. One who Goddess Selene chose personally for me and I love her, very deeply” I inform her, for the 267th time, since I got here.
“You were my mate first; a woman has a right to change her mind” she says to me, trying to link her arm through mine. “Ana; how many times do I have to tell you? Leave Danny alone” Todd booms, coming into the dining area. “I was just telling him, how I regret rejecting him, Toddy. How’s Luna Joanna? Over her morning sickness?” Anastasia says, dropping her arm and turning to face him.
Joanna got a bad case of morning sickness on the car trip down. Todd had to pull over a number of times for her. If we drove past a MacDonalds, that would set her off. She couldn’t stomach the smell of it. Claudia never had morning sickness; she said she felt nauseous a few times but it never bothered her.
“Claudia is on her way down; you better go and help Josie pack up the kitchen before she gets here” Todd smirks at her as Anastasia’s face drops before heading into the kitchen.
“Being civil isn’t working with her. Maybe I should let Amanda have a few swings at her” I whisper to Todd. “Nah; won’t work. Stephanie tried that already. She won’t take no for an answer. She comes back fighting harder” Todd answers, looking at the doorway to the kitchen.
“What are we going to do about it?” I ask him. “What can we do about it at the moment? Maybe she can be left behind” Todd chuckles; **“there’s a thought”** Jesse snickers with him and I smirk shaking my head.
“That’s the last of it, from upstairs” Dad says, coming into the dining area with Simon, Claudia and Joanna. “How are you feeling, Bunny?” “How do you think I am feeling? I determine what I eat, by how it would taste coming back up. Salads are the best option” Joanna spits at Todd, as we all looked disgusted by her comments.
“I will be taking Joanna back in Todd’s car. You will all get the safeguards done and follow us this afternoon” Claudia says, coming over to me. “Anastasia threw herself on you again, didn’t she?” she adds, snarling.
“He told her to leave; she is one determined bitch” Todd chuckles as we all start moving to the foyer. “I’m going to let Mandy out; she wants to show her how to leave you, the fuck alone” Claudia growls, heading for the kitchen. “Woah; let’s get back to the castle first; then we can unleash baby wolf” Dad says, grabbing Claudia around the waist.
“How are you managing, Danny?” Simon asks me as we both look over to the corner as we enter the foyer. “I’m ok; been keeping myself busy so I don’t harbour on it too much” I answer him, as Claudia looks to where our eyes were focused and leaves dad’s clutches to put her arms around my waist.
“We will be starting at the eastern border; was there anything from Nelly’s house you wanted? We can put it in the moving trucks before they leave” Dad asks me, changing the subject to my relief. “No; leave it all there. If we need a safe haven around the area; we can always use it” I inform them.
“Did you get the seeds?” Simon asks Tim as he comes into the foyer. “What seeds?” Todd asks him. “Yep; went out this morning to pick them up” Tim answers with a grin. “What seeds?” Todd asks again with more insistence as his eyes glaze over and nods towards Joanna. She must have mind linked him the answer.
“Where are we putting them?” he questions Tim. “Around Luna Janelle’s house so no-one will go near the house. It will be protected. We want to keep it as far away from the river; don’t want to contaminate it” Simon answers him.
*“Does planting wolfbane plants, actually work?”* Claudia asks me, through a mind link. We are keeping it quiet as we don’t want to alert anyone here, we have them. *“Don’t know; Simon seems to think so”* I answer her.
“Josie says sh… Oh; the two whores are with you” Anastasia snarls, coming out of the kitchen as I grab Claudia around the waist, as she tries to lunge at Anastasia and Todd grabs Joanna by the arm; stopping her, doing the same thing. Dad let’s off a warning growl towards her.
“What did Josie say?” Simon asks her. “She said the kitchen is packed and ready to go and they are packing the last of the dining room” Anastasia answers him. “Thank you; you may leave” I tell her and she looks at me with an innocent smile and then snarls at Claudia before turning on her heels.
I let go of Claudia; “go get her” I whisper in her ear and Claudia walks calmly over; grabbing Anastasia’s arm and pulling her around to face her. “I won’t tell you again; Danny is off limits” she screams and punches Anastasia in the face, before walking backwards in my direction; keeping her eyes on Anastasia.
“Alpha, did you see what she did to me? Punish her for hitting one of your pack members” Anastasia yells at Todd. “Hmm? I’m sorry Ana, my back was turned. Can anyone tell me what happened?” Todd asks all of us, in a calm unknowing voice. “Nope, didn’t see anything, I was talking with Dad” Tim answers and Anastasia huffs and races out the door as we all stop ourselves from laughing at her annoyance.
“Teach that slut to think she can weasel her way back in; now Danny is an Alpha” Claudia grumbles under her breath and Anastasia walks back in with Gamma Steve; “her Daddy. She punched me for no reason. I was only telling Danny; Josie was finished with packing the kitchen and she hit me.”
Steve looks at Claudia, dropping his angered face and turning his attention to Anastasia; “the white wolf hit you? Be glad that’s all she did” he mumbles and walks out the door again; Anastasia in tow as I stop myself from laughing again and Claudia narrows her eyes at Todd.
“What? I had to tell them why we are moving. I told them the white wolf needed our help. Everyone knew about you. Dad never kept it a secret when he found out Danny was mated with you” he informs her and she shakes her head in disgust.
“Is that why, everyone is being extra nice to me?” I ask Todd. “Pretty much” Todd answers, heading out the door with Joanna, Claudia and myself following behind him.
“Claudia, we need to head off. Let these Alpha’s think they run the pack” Joanna giggles as she heads to Todd’s car. “We will only be a few hours behind you” I tell Claudia, giving her a kiss. “You better be. If Anastasia comes near you; I want you to throw her ass” she answers, kissing me back.
“She’s not staying. Danny thought it would nice for his two mates to get to know one another” Todd snickers, giving me, a wink and I give her an innocent look with my hands up in the front of me; surrendering. “I’m not the one with a death wish” I huff at him as Joanna giggles a little.
“I will call you, as soon as we get back” Claudia says to me, hopping in the driver’s seat of our car. “No; I want a message, every time you stop. I will have a point to start my search if Callum or Michael intercede. We have all the pack doing this” I tell her. “Great plan; good luck with the messages” she giggles toward Todd as I lean in the window and give her another kiss before they take off down the road.
“Let’s get started on the safeguards. Tim; do you want to show Todd what to do?” Simon says, as we head off around the pack grounds.
