Chapter 99

Danny’s POV
“How can Oliver mind link his sister in the south?” Dad asks me, as we head out of the castle doors. “He asked Apollo to be able to mind link anyone he wishes; where ever they may be” I answer him and dad gives me a look of shock. It looks as though he would like to be able to do this.
“What the fuck?” Claudia screams from the dining room. “Danny, do you know about Oliver’s new found ability?” she calls over to me as I walk into the dining room with dad, grabbing a chicken salad sandwich and sitting down next to her. “Yeah; pretty cool” I tell her.
“We need to get ready for a fight. Michael and Callum are coming to attack on the full moon” I tell her, looking around the dining hall for Simon, Jason, Todd, Rick, Cynthia and Tim.
“They are all at the training grounds” Claudia informs Dad and I, sensing who I was looking for. “Oh; I’ll finish lunch and head down there” I tell her, stuffing my sandwich into my mouth. “Slow down, before you choke” Claudia scolds, narrowing her eyes at me.
I swallow the bite of sandwich and take a sip of water; “I can’t; I need to talk with them” I inform her, taking another bite of my sandwich. “I’m sure a few minutes to eat your lunch won’t render us useless” Dad says, giving a small chuckle.
“I need to strategize with Simon. I want to be ready for every different scenario they throw at us” I tell them; popping the last of my sandwich into my mouth and getting out of my chair.
“Danny; Henry” Phyliss calls out from the doorway with Belinda. “Jeffrey just called me; hi Claudia” she includes, coming over to our table. “I was just about to leave for the training grounds to talk to Simon and the others. You are happy to join us” I inform her, moving to the trolley and put my empty plate on it and Phyliss, Claudia, Dad Belinda and I walk out of the dining hall.
“What caused them to attack?” Claudia asks, a worried look crossing her face.
“Goddess Selene and the other gods and goddesses have stopped Hades from talking to Callum. That is why they sort out Barnaby and Rebecca; forcing them to give information. When we found out, thanks to Dianna; they started to panic and tried to kidnap you. Goddess Selene is worried you got away a bit to easily; but apparently you shifting into Jesse and me into Amanda; it shocked them and they didn’t know what was going on. Because of this; they feel as though they need to attack now” I inform them of our conversation with Goddess Selene.
“And why does Oliver have his new gift?” Phyliss asks me. “Not sure; Apollo just asked him if he wanted one. He pondered it for a moment and came up with mind linking; not just in the territory but to anyone he wishes” I answer her and she looks disappointed.
“I’m sure if you ask Bastet; she may give you something” Claudia tells her, trying to be optimistic. “I want to be able to heal like you can” Phyliss explains, looking over at Claudia as we reach the doors of the training ground.
“Matthew; thank goddess you are here too. I was going to call you after I spoke with Simon, Todd and the others” I say, walking over to him.
“What’s going on? I got a mind link from Oliver to come over to the training ground. He wouldn’t tell me how he can do this, he just laughed and shut the link down” he says, looking puzzled as Oliver, Sariah, Leon, Raquel and Joshua walk in.
“Finished having some fun with mind linking yet?” I laugh at him. “Yep; I’m right for now, Melonie is heading in today with the rest of her coven. She had a few choice words about me being able to mind link now” he chuckles back, giving me a wink.
“What’s happening?” Todd asks, walking over to us. “Simon, Jace, Rick, Tim and Cyndy; I need you all to come over here” I call out as they all come over to where we were standing.
“Apollo, Selene and Rachael have told us, Callum and Michael are wanting to attack the castle on the full moon” Oliver begins, looking in my direction. “5 days; ok” Matthew says, looking perplexed. “We have been training hard and we are ready for them” Simon responds and the rest of them murmur a few complaints.
“According to Selene; Hades hasn’t been able to contact him. They are getting very anxious and because they can’t blackmail Barnaby and Rebecca anymore; they feel they need to take matters into their own hands. Simon, what have you put into place for the women and children?” I ask, turning my attention to Simon.
“Callum would know where the old bunkers are. We made new ones; they go to the Sapphire Moon territory. We will move them all to the bunker to join the Sapphire Moon’s women and children” Simon explains and Matthew nods his head.
“My brother Grayson, Alpha of the Meadow Moon Pack; got hold of me yesterday. He said he was contacted by Michael. He was saying; Michael said we kidnapped Dianna and Crystal and he needed his help to get them back. He didn’t have a good feeling about what Michael was saying and I set him straight. He offered to help and I will call him back and ask him to come to the Sapphire Moon Pack” Matthew informs us and Claudia rolls her eyes at the lie Michael was telling people.
“I have my second, third and warriors coming as well” Phyliss includes; “us too” Raquel states. “Are there any other Clans or Prides that will help?” Todd asks, looking at the pair.
“Clans, not to my knowledge. Benjamin has said he is still contacting a few. We will know, once he gets here” Raquel answers Todd. “Regarding Prides; I know of 4 other prides who want to teach Penelope a thing or two. I haven’t called them yet, but I will get in contact with them as soon as we are finished here” Phyliss includes, smirking towards Belinda.
“One of them is my sister. Jeanie is pissed to hear what Penelope has gotten herself into; not surprised; but pissed none the less. Jeanie and her mate; Larry have had few dealings with Penelope before” Belinda explains, giving us a grin.
“We know they have over 1000 men…” “Father, Mother just told us what is happening. Why didn’t you notify us as soon as you found out” Rodney says, coming into the training compound with Hunter, scowling at Oliver.
“Your mother didn’t want to take you away from your families…” Oliver starts to explain to them. “This is as much our problem as it is yours. We want to help. You can’t defeat Callum on your own” Hunter fumes at him.
“The more the merrier” Oliver smiles at his two sons.
“Simon; Todd, Dad and myself will meet up with Jeremy and Brenda” “Who’s Brenda?” Hunter asks, interrupting me. “Our master trainer. She’s more skilled and teaches the men a few things” Matthew answers him, smiling.
“As I was saying, Simon; we will meet with Jeremy, Brenda and yourself to start strategizing what we can do when Michael and Callum turn up in 5 days” I conclude; “I will talk with Jeremy shortly and Matthew, if you can get Brenda to think of a few strategies, we will place them all together” Simon replies.
“Sariah, you have been very quiet” Oliver says to her. “What? Yeah! I’ve been taking everything in. I spoke with Hecate yesterday and she told me the same thing. She found out a few things, regarding a small dark witch coven. They are working with Callum, apparently the leader is an ancestor of Nesbeth and I thought this was weird because Nesbeth didn’t have any siblings and no children. It may be a cousin or something” she explains, still looking worried.
“Do you have anyone who can help us?” I ask her, the concern on Sariah’s face is startling. “Yes, my coven will come and help and I believe Leon’s uncle will be coming with his coven. I called them yesterday” she whispers, putting her head down,
“Then what is the problem?” Phyliss asks her, raising her eyebrows. “I’ve never had to fight others before. I’ve trained and am confident in my ability, but nervous as well” she tells us, letting out a sigh.
“You don’t have to fight, if you don’t want to. We will not force anyone who is unwilling” Dad explains and Leon gives her a side hug. “I am willing; I need to be there with you. I think I am more nervous, I might seriously hurt someone” “That’s the point of fighting” Tim says, giving a chuckle and I give him a ‘not now’ scowl.
“You have a few days to decide what you want to do. I will see you all tomorrow to discuss a strategy” I tell everyone and head out the door of the training grounds with Claudia following behind me.
