Chapter 56

Danny’s POV
“What is Oliver thinking?” “He thinks someone from the Sapphire Moon Pack is helping Callum and Michael. Claudia said, he was thinking one of us can go into the Sapphire Moon territory to see who it may be” I answer Dad’s question. “Like we did with Timothy?” he asks. “Yeah; I guess. Only thing is we were able to come up with a way to get him into the River Moon Pack. I don’t believe they will trust us to allow someone to willingly go to their pack; if they are helping them” I voice my concern.
“We can’t do anything now. Let’s talk it over with everyone” Dad responds, pulling into the castle grounds. “You said the castle looks magical with the snow; it’s breathtaking” dad includes, stopping the car and looking out of the windshield. **“It’s still snow and I don’t do snow”** Jesses snarls.
“Danny” Claudia yells, running over to the car; carrying Sophia. “Snow Blossom” I scream back; embracing her and giving her a kiss. She looks over my shoulder; “what do they want?” she scowls as I turn to see who she was looking at. “Matthew; Barnaby; David; what brings you to the castle?” Oliver says, shaking Alpha Matthew’s hand. “I heard Alpha Daniel was arriving today. Are we all able to talk in your office?” Matthew asks.
“Sure; follow me” Oliver answers as we all follow him inside the castle to his office. “Where’s Mum?” “Her and Lorraine are helping Paul put the last of the packhouse together. They were hoping to have it finished by the time you arrived” Claudia says as we sit down in front of Oliver’s desk and Dad, Matthew, Barnaby, David and Jeffrey walk into the office.
“What is on your mind, Matthew?” Oliver asks, looking at the Alpha. “We know you have been spying on us. We want to know why? We figured it had something to do with Alpha Daniel” he responds as Oliver looks at myself, Dad and Claudia.
“Let me introduce myself; I’m Daniel and this is my mate Claudia and my father-in-law Henry” I tell the trio. “Barnaby, Matthew’s Betta. We are aware of who you are; Tracey informed us when she visited Isaac and Joyce. We want to know what you are doing here and if you are trying to fight for our territory” he bluntly announces.
Dad starts to chuckle; “Sorry Barnaby; that is funny. I am not one to fight if I can avoid it. We do want to ask you, have you had any dealings with a vampire called Callum or an Alpha Michael?” he asks as Matthew lets off a growl. “Matthew; I know you are aware of what Callum did 16 years ago. You helped me out then. Are you aware he is trying again?” Oliver asks him.
“You think we are helping him?” Matthew chuckles, looking at us. “We believe he is getting help from someone. They are passing information onto Callum and Michael” Jeffrey includes. “Now I understand” Matthew says, still chuckling. “You are barking up the wrong tree, Oliver. We do not have any dealings with them. I do know the Silver Pride do; Penelope is very much friends with your Alpha Michael. They were staying in the silver pride territory a few weeks back” David responds.
“How do you know this?” I ask him. “Michael came to the pack gates asking for permission to enter onto the pack territory. He was denied. His cause for being there; he wanted to visit a friend by the name of Tracey. We informed him Tracey is no longer a part of our pack and needed to see Alpha Henry of the Cedar Moon Pack” Barnaby informs us. “Our Master Trainer watched him walk back to the Silver Pride Territory” David includes.
“Who is Penelope?” Claudia asks, looking at Oliver. “She is the leader of Silver Pride. A real piece of work if you ask me. She doesn’t take too kindly to ‘others’ on her territory” David responds as I look at Dad, Oliver and Claudia.
“What?” Matthew asks, looking at the concern on all our faces. “Michael is the same” Dad responds “And so is Callum” Oliver injects. “Oh” Matthew whispers, under his breath. “Now you understand what we are doing here” I tell him. “Why is Tracey so important to Callum and Michael? It’s not as if she has a white wolf or anything. Serenity is grey, not white” he questions.
I look at Claudia and Dad. “Oliver; can we trust Matthew?” I ask him. “Yes, you can trust me” he spits and I look at Claudia again. She nods and stands up, handing Sophia to Dad. “Tracey is mated to our Betta and Callum knew I was coming” she explains, taking off her clothes and shifts to Amanda.
“Holy Fuck” Barnaby exclaims. “Even as an infant, he knew Tracey was going to be mated to your Betta?” Matthew asks, looking at Amanda as she shifts back to Claudia. “Yes; this is a very long story. Do you have time to hear it?” Oliver informs him.
“Fucked if I didn’t; tell me what is going on” he screams. “Claudia is not the only chosen wolf in the room. There are 8 of us; an Alpha, Luna, 4 warriors, a protector and advisor” I start, looking at Dad. “And their mates; each of these people have been reincarnated to be together to protect those who threaten the supernatural community. Myself, Jeffrey and Hecate’s chosen all know about Danny and Claudia and who they really are” Oliver includes.
“Where does Callum come into it?” Matthew asks. “Callum was the threat in our last lifetime; along with Michael’s great, grandfather. He knew about us when we defeated Marcus. He was the one to give us the information where to find him. We didn’t know then, what we know now; Callum was the threat in the first place. He knew if he killed Tracey; all of us would have died and it would buy him time to strike” Claudia answers him.
“How did he know about Tracey?” David asks, looking around the room. “I was here also at the time of Marcus. We have now found out Callum, in fact killed my father and he is now plotting to kill me and most likely my sons to become King. I noticed Tracey looked very much like her predecessor in the previous life and let it slip to my head councilman. That is why he went after her” Oliver explains.
“We know Callum wants to be king of the vampires and Michael is wanting to appoint himself King of werewolves. I am assuming Penelope wants to appoint herself queen of werecats and there is a witch or warlock somewhere wanting to appoint themselves king or queen of them. They are all joining together to defeat us and scare everyone to allow them to rule over all of us. We are here to stop it; why mess with what we already know is good for us?” I include.
“I can see a big shit show about to start” Matthew announces. “Elaborate?” Dad questions him. “Penelope doesn’t believe in other species ruling. She has a big problem with Oliver, although she has never said it to your face. You said Callum and Michael are the same. Whomever the witch or warlock is; I can be certain they are in the same mind frame as the others. All of them wanting to be King or queen of the respective species and not try to take over from one another. Won’t happen” he concludes; looking at Oliver.
“There lies our problem, it will be ‘a shit show’ as you called it” Jeffrey proclaims, looking at Oliver as well. “You should let them be king and queens and watch them kill each other off. Don’t get involved” David chimes in. “Would love to do that” I start; “and we tried that once before; too many innocent lives were lost because the assholes decided to kill who wouldn’t help kill the other kings and queens” Claudia finishes.
“Why is Oliver staring into the Abyss?” Barnaby asks as we all start looking at Oliver. “He is talking with Apollo” Jeffrey informs him. “Apollo as in, the God Apollo?” David questions. “I am not the only one who can talk to a God or Goddess” Claudia smirks at the trio, giving me a wink.
Oliver gasps a breath as he comes back to reality; “Jeffrey; Apollo has been told by Bastet and Artio who we can contact” he announces writing on a piece of paper. “You need to find these people and contact them. Tell them I wish to have an audience with them” he includes, giving Jeffrey the piece of paper. “Right away, sir” he answers, leaving the office.
“Am I right in assuming we have your support?” Oliver asks Matthew. “100%. I wouldn’t miss the fight of a lifetime” he answers, grinning. “It could be dangerous; you need to be careful” I inform them. “We will be behind you” David answers, smiling at me.
“We have taken up a lot of your time and I assume you would like to see Luna Jade, Henry. If we hear anything regarding Penelope; I will let you know” Matthew says, shaking Oliver’s hand and then mine and Dad’s.
“Thank you for understanding the importance of our situation” Oliver says to them. “Claudia; I don’t know how you kept your wolf a secret. If I have one to keep, I know who to come to” Matthew says, grinning at her as I push Jesse back from growling at him. “Dad and Danny had a hand in keeping it concealed” she answers him smiling as the three men depart the office.
“How could I be wrong about who was passing on the information. I swore it was coming from the Sapphire Moon Pack” Oliver sighs. “It could still be; just not one of the leaders. They are passing information onto the Silver Pride to pass onto Callum. Don’t beat yourself up about it; let’s move forward with our knowledge” Dad says, getting up out of his chair.
“Will you join me for dinner? I asked Joslyn to make some apple pies for our dessert” Oliver asks us. “We will be honoured” I say, leaving the room with Claudia and Dad.
