Chapter 50

Danny’s POV
“Alpha Daniel; what brings you here to see me” Isabella says, shutting the door behind me as I take a seat in front of her desk. “Dad or Claudia haven’t told you?” I ask, looking in her green eyes. “No; is everything ok with you and Claudia?” she asks. “Yes; we are doing very well. Sophia is almost 2 months” I tell her.
“I know; I’ve been meaning to catch up with the both of you. Our schedules have been very uncoordinated. It was hard for us to make a time to suit both of our schedules. No harm done; you are here now. What seems to be the problem” she says, taking out her notebook.
“Bella” I start, taking in a breath. “Where do I start?” I whisper. “Before we go any further Danny; I need to let you know. This meeting is confidential; however, if there are issues you cannot discuss with me due to you being Alpha, I understand and will not pursue any information.”
I sigh a breath of relief, giving Bella a smile. “The main reason I am here is Claudia asked me to come see you. She thinks I need to discuss how I feel about Alpha Michael, killing James” I inform her. “I see” she answers, writing in her notepad. “How do you feel about it?” she adds.
“I don’t know. I’m torn between loathing Michael for not giving me the opportunity to seek retribution from James. And relief, he is getting the punishment he deserves from Goddess Selene” I answer her. “I did not think you were seeking revenge on James” she tells me.
“I wanted him to pay; not revenge as such. I wanted him to see, I am a strong Alpha and anything he does, will no longer hurt me. That is the revenge I wanted to give” I say to her. “I see” she answers, writing on her notepad.
“He was at the Alpha ceremony; was he not?” she asks me. “Yes.” “And Alpha Henry said; when you were taken, you did not kill James but you had choked him until he was unconscious and threw him out of the cell. And I believe, in your own words said; ‘I wasn’t willing to kill James for my own satisfaction and I don’t want to seek revenge. It’s not healthy for me’” she reads from her notepad.
“That is correct” I tell her. “You had every opportunity to kill James when Todd took the three of you and still you decided to show him; you were stronger, in more than one way; then he was. Further; he saw you being sworn in as Alpha. You stood tall and showed him how strong of a person you have become. I believe, you have taken your revenge. James would have been mortified, seeing how strong you have become” she informs me. **“You have no idea”** Jesse chuckles at me.
“As for your relief; I am assuming either by Amanda or when you saw Goddess Selene after you left River Moon, she told you he will be judged accordingly” she says, looking back in her notepad again. “It was the latter. I was angry at the time and asked her how she could let them torment me. She calmly said they will stand where I was standing and be judged accordingly for hurting one of her children” I tell her.
“From what I can see Danny; you have become the strong person Goddess Selene envisioned. You have shown James, you are and knowing he is going to be judged by Goddess Selene; you have every right to feel relieved by it” she says, writing on her notepad again.
“Thank you, Bella. I told you; you have more influence on me than you realise” I tell her smiling at her. “Is there anything else, I can help you with?” “As a matter of fact, there is” I answer her.
She puts her pen down on her desk and looks directly in my eyes; “Amanda is away at the moment, tending to a few questions we have for Goddess Selene; regarding Michael. Tim as you are aware, has gone to the River Moon Pack. This was on our urging and Amanda was supposed to send Tim and Chelsea to her sanctuary, like she did with Dad, Jason and I when we were taken. She’s not back yet and Claudia is getting a bit anxious, she won’t be back to send them there tomorrow” I tell her.
“I was wondering why Chelsea hasn’t seen me after Tim left. I won’t ask what Tim and Amanda are doing because I will only get the ‘it’s confidential’ speech. Is there a place Todd or Michael don’t know about; Tim may be able to see Chelsea there. It is important for mates to be together. I have seen too many people go feral once they have lost a mate” she explains.
**“What about Grandma Nelly’s place? I know Todd knows it’s there but Michael doesn’t”** Jesse tells me. **“Do you think, we could send a cryptic message to Tim via Chelsea?” “It’s worth a try. Tell Bella; we appreciate her help”** he says to me.
“There may be somewhere he can go. Todd does know about this place, but it’s been isolated for a fair while. He may not think to go there” I tell her. “Are you able to get a message to Tim? That is my only concern” she asks me. “Maybe; I will need to consult Claudia and Dad. Jesse also says; we appreciate your help” I say, smiling.
“Anytime, you and Jesse need me; my door is always open” she smiles back as I get up from my chair and head out the door.
*“I need to see everyone in my office”* I mind link, Dad, Simon, Claudia, Cynthia, Rick, Jason and Chelsea; heading straight for the packhouse and my office.
“How was your meeting with Bella?” Claudia asks, as I give her a kiss and sit behind my desk. “Good; she put what I was feeling about James’ death into perspective for me. She also suggested an idea we can do for Chelsea and Tim can get together; until Amanda gets back” I answer her as Dad and Simon come into the office.
“What is it, son?” Dad asks me. “I may have a way to see Tim. We need to wait for the others and I will tell you all together” I answer him as Chelsea, Rick and Cynthia walk into the room. “Where’s Jason?” “He said to start the meeting without him; he and Tracey will be up as soon as they are ‘free’” Claudia giggles. “Oh; oops” I smirk, as the rest of us try not to laugh at the predicament.
“I was just talking to Bella. As previously discussed, I told her Tim was at the River Moon Pack on our urging and Claudia is getting anxious if she isn’t back for your meeting in the sanctuary tomorrow night. She made a suggestion if there was somewhere they could go; Michael and Todd do not know about. Jesse suggested…” “Grandma Nelly’s house” Claudia says finishing my sentence.
“I know Todd knows about Grandma Nelly’s house. It has been boarded up all those years and we only went back the once. It’s near our border, we can possibly use it until Mandy gets back” I suggest. “Couldn’t hurt to try. If we fail the first time, we won’t try again” Simon announces. “We can take Jacob. He has been asking where daddy is” Chelsea pipes in.
“We will need to send Tim a cryptic message” Dad says, looking at Chelsea. “You can use Jerry. He will know, where we are talking about” I tell her. “That’s good” Chelsea says pulling out her phone. “Don’t send it now; send it early tomorrow morning” I inform her.
“Let’s get the message done. I will make out, Jerry is an old flame” Chelsea says, typing on her phone.
“Done” she announces. “What are you going to tell him?” Claudia asks. “I said ‘Meeting Jerry at his old hang out spot. He wants to see Jacob and I.’ Tim can respond with a time” she answers.
“Will he know what it means?” Cynthia asks as Jason and Tracey come through the door. “Sorry Jace” I chuckle, as he turns red and sits down. “I’m not sure. I’ll only know when I get a message back” Chelsea responds.
“What did we miss?” Tracey asks, and everyone looks around the room. “Everything, we are sending a message to Tim to meet us at Grandma Nelly’s place tomorrow. Cynthia, you will stay here. If something unexpected happens, I don’t want you caught up in it” I tell her.
“I’ll be fine. I’m pregnant, not disabled” she spits as Dad puts his hand on her shoulder. “We don’t doubt that; it’s precautionary. If Tim is followed and they take you, they may want to hurt the pups. I couldn’t live with that on my conscious” Dad explains. “Neither could I; I want you to stay here” I include.
“Let’s see what happens, when Chelsea sends the message in the morning” Claudia exclaims standing up from her chair. “Meeting is adjourned” I chuckle as Dad, Simon and Rick leave the office. “Sorry for my tardiness” Jason says blushing again. “It’s ok; I should have made the meeting for half an hour. I have to not assume no-one is doing anything. My lesson is learnt” I chuckle.
“Danny; Tim will message if he doesn’t understand. And he will also message if he thinks it will be too risky for us to go. He won’t want Jacob getting hurt” Chelsea tells me. “Let’s hope we can go” I smile back to her. “I could go for some lunch” I add as the rest of us leave the office and head down to the dining hall.
