Chapter 104

Danny’s POV
“No news is good news for us. We can get everything ready without them knowing, we know” Oliver says as Claudia and I come into his office.
“We will be ready for them. Claudia, now you are here; I will have you near me and I will be directing Amanda where to go. What I want to do is confuse the living shit out of them. We will start with Oliver and then work our way around the two territories. Make them chase after everyone. I am preparing as if I was leading the attack. I would have prewarned everyone to grab her if they see her. When they get close enough, Sebastian, Kingsley, Vincent, Zephron, Parker, Carter, Malcolm or Jesse will shift in place of Amanda and kill whoever is chasing them. I will be sending Seb, Kingsley, Parker or Jesse on this territory. Brenda will be instructing Vince, Zeph, Carter and Mal on the Sapphire Moon territory” Simon informs us.
“And if they don’t chase after Amanda?” I ask him. “If they don’t chase after her, we will have a lot of fun confusing the hell out of them” he chuckles.
“Matthew has already started to send his pack into the bunkers. The entrance is behind his packhouse. They are leaving via the back door of the packhouse and into the bunker. Jeffrey has started to send the castle staff into our bunkers from our territory located behind the East Pack, Packhouse” Oliver states, as he looks out of his window.
“Tim, Todd, Chelsea, Brett and Cyndy are going over to the Sapphire Moon entrance. Rick, Jason, Tracey, Mum, Claudia and myself will be near the entrance here” I tell them and Simon nods his head.
“You’re separating Rick and Tim?” Dad asks me. “Yeah; both men can cover those around them at the two different entrances. They will be in each of the packhouses as a sniper” Claudia frowns. She has been very nervous about the upcoming fight, since we got up this morning. She’s more worried about Amanda than herself as she will be behind the fighting, most of the time.
I pick up Claudia’s hand and give it a kiss; “we will be ok” I whisper to her as Oliver’s phone goes off. “It’s David; one of the sentries heard Penelope yelling from the front of the territory. She’s trying to organise people into position and didn’t realise there was someone there. The sentry was told to move away as quietly as possible without giving his position away” Oliver states, reading the message out.
“We need to get down and make sure everyone is ready for an attack” Simon calls out as Claudia and I get out of our chairs and out the front door of the castle.
*“All those not fighting; start heading over to the East Pack, packhouse, you will walk in through the front door and out the rear door to the bunker”* I say, through a mind link to all pack members and close down all the mind links; except for Paul, Cynthia and Brett.
*“Paul; are you ready to defend the bunker? Tim, Todd, Chelsea, Cyndy and Brett will be on the Sapphire Moon side. The rest of us will be on the castle side. You will have Eli and Shaun from the Sapphire Moon, Dianna, Crystal and Steven from the East Pack to help you”* I ask him. *“Ready and waiting. We also have Rodney and Hunter helping us. Queen Amelia wouldn’t have it any other way”* he chuckles, closing down the mind link.
“I’ve got the pack heading over to the Eastern packhouse now. Rodney and Hunter will be in the bunkers?” I ask Oliver. He chuckles; “Milly is over protective when it comes to the boys and grandkids. It was the compromise she was willing to give them” he explains, shaking his head.
“Alpha Danny; I’m a big boy now. I can help protect the packhouse with you” a young Jacob comes up to me with Isabella. “Jacob; you are a very big nine” “It was my birthday yesterday; I’m ten and double digits” he says, puffing his chest out.
“Happy birthday for yesterday; with all my Alpha business; I forgot all about it. I won’t forget next year; I promise” I tell him, kneeling down to look into his eyes. “I have a very special job for you to do; we need someone to look after mummy. She has a very important job in our pack and needs a big protector. I want her to go into the bunkers with the others, so she can help them. What I need you to do; is go in there with her; to protect her. Can you do that for me?” I ask him and he gives me a smile.
“I can do that; Mummy; I have to be your protector” he grins and Isabella mouths, thank you to me before taking Jacob by the hand and heading out the back door to the bunkers as Claudia is watching me; smiling at the side of the doorway.
“I have to get all the birthdays of the pups of the pack. I am not going to miss another one” I say to Claudia, coming over with Sophia. “You were so good with him” she smiles, giving me a kiss. “Dad, dad, dad, dad, dad” Sophia coos, reaching out to me.
“My little Angel” I grin, taking her out of Claudia’s arms. She started saying Dad a few days ago. “Dad, dad, op” she says, reaching out for Dad, coming up next to me. “Short lived; we know who her favourite is” I chuckle, handing her to Dad.
“I will take her to the carers; while you two, finish getting the pack organised” Claudia says, taking Sophia from Dad and heading out the back door to the bunker.
“Everyone is out of the packhouse” Dad tells me and Tim and Todd come down the stairs. “We have everyone out of our packhouse as well” Tim includes. “We need to set up, outside” Todd exclaims and I nod my agreeance as the three of us walk out the back door.
“We will be heading to the Sapphire Moon territory through the bunkers” Todd tells me. “Tim where will you and Rick be located?” I ask, looking toward the Eastern packhouse.
“On the roof of both packhouses. We are all set up; for when we get up there” he answers me and I look up at the roof. Rick is waving at me, next to Simon and Jeremy. “Can you come up here for a moment? Simon wants to show you what I will be doing” Rick mind links me.
“I’m coming up now.” “Dad, Simon wants to show us where Rick will be situated. Do you want to join me?” I tell him, heading through the backdoor of the packhouse again. “Wait” Todd calls out and I turn on my heels to look at him.
“I’m heading over to Sapphire Moon territory now. I..uh…” he stammers and I smile. “Stay safe, big brother. I don’t want to heal your ass again” I chuckle, giving him a hug. “I love you” he whispers as he puts his arms around me; hugging me back.
“I’m not going to say it; just don’t get hurt” I add as I head into the packhouse, where Dad is waiting for me and we head up to the rooftop.
“Danny, Henry; we have an idea. Actually, Tim had the idea and we are going to implement it. Rick and Tim are going to be on the rooftops as snipers; but they aren’t going to kill anyone with guns as per your request Henry. They are going to use tranquillizer darts; he took the idea from when they had to go to the River Moon Pack with Todd” Simon informs us.
“The darts will be set for when they shift. We will not aim at a person and it will not affect vampires. You will have to let me know from the ground, who is who. In the dark it will be harder to tell who is vampire and who is shifter and with all the different smells coming towards us and unless they have already shifted; I won’t be able to tell” Rick includes.
“It’s getting close to dusk; we need to get going. We will be at the front of the packhouse and span around towards the castle and Western packhouse. The bunker should be safe; Claudia will be with me and if she needs to ‘make herself scarce;’ she will go through the packhouse to the bunker” Simon informs us as we all head down the stairs.
**“Let’s do this”** I tell Jesse.
