Danny’s POV
“How are you feeling, son?” Dad asks me the next morning, as I stifle a yawn. “I didn’t get much sleep. I’m pissed Michael took my opportunity to seek retribution from James. At the same time; I am happy James is getting the punishment he deserves from Goddess Selene. Claudia wants me to see Bella” I answer him as we both walk into his office. “That is a good idea” he responds sitting behind his desk.
“Claudia is attending to Sophia. She will be here shortly” I tell everyone; stifling another yawn. “We can continue without you, if you need more sleep” Simon says, looking at the bags under my eyes. “I’ll be fine. Let’s get this meeting underway” I answer, taking the seat behind Dad’s desk normally reserved for mum.
“How was your meeting with Timothy last night?” Jeffrey asks, looking at me. “Interesting” Dad chimes in. “I didn’t think you were attending” Oliver says, looking towards Dad. “We weren’t initially. A development occurred yesterday and we all needed to be there. We got a mind link from Amanda just before she sent us over. I was shocked as I didn’t think our wolves can mind link. Turns out I was wrong, she could when she came forward in Claudia’s body. Tyson wants to give it a go” Simon answers for us.
“What development?” Leon asks, looking around the room. “Michael killed James yesterday” Claudia answers, coming into the room and moving her chair to sit by me, giving me a kiss on my cheek. “Sophia with Mum?” “Yes; her, Yolanda and Lorraine are taking Sophia, Jasper, Elizabeth and Jacob to a play group. Chelsea, Denise and Tracey will be here soon” she answers me.
“Will everyone stop looking at me. I am fine and happy the asshole is getting what he deserves” I yell; “the bags under your eyes tell us a different story” Oliver says, still looking at me. “He isn’t the reason; I didn’t get much sleep last night. I don’t think you will be sleeping much either. James’ wolf told us, Callum and Michael are raising an army to defeat you. Once Callum becomes King of the vampires; Michael will appoint himself Alpha of the werewolves” I inform him.
“Why did he kill James?” Sariah asks, “Danny is his son and Michael wasn’t too happy with James’ excuse on why Danny wasn’t raised by James and be on their side” Jason answers as Tracey, Denise and Chelsea come into the office.
“At least we know what they are planning now. Next step; how do we stop it?” Oliver exclaims, looking around the room. “I don’t know, we know they are building some kind of army. We don’t know who or when. Tim elected to stay at the River Moon Pack to try and find out more information. He did mention Michael was intrigued by Todd’s handywork of taking me to get Claudia” I explain to him.
“He wants to try and take you again?” Sariah asks. “Yes; apparently, but not sure when they will attempt it or how. Also; Callum gave a description of you to Michael, Craig and James. That is why he was asking all the questions about who you were. He told them you are Hecate’s chosen” I respond to her as Leon places an arm around Sariah’s shoulders.
“To our knowledge; Callum isn’t seeking out werebears, werecats or witches. This might change if James did in fact tell him, you were at the ceremony” Dad includes. “Or Todd mentions it. He was the one to tell Tim why James was asking the questions” Claudia adds, looking at Dad.
“Michael may have been my best friend when I was a child; I don’t know what he is thinking or how he came to the conclusion he should be Alpha of the werewolves. Only time I have ever spoken with him, since I was 14 was when I had to get you” Dad answers Claudia’s question before she asked it.
“Oliver; why would Callum want to be King of the Vampires?” Tracey asks. “Power and greed. I have already told you he is greedy. This is no different, he held the highest position on my council and had a lot of sway with what was happening at the time. I suppose it wasn’t enough for him” Oliver answers, sitting back in his chair.
“It’s common knowledge I am Hecate’s chosen amongst witches and warlocks. Callum must know a few, for him to have this knowledge” Sariah includes, although we imagined this was the case. “We figured as much. You will need to see who is helping him. If he has the knowledge, you are Hecate’s chosen; you will be in danger also” Dad informs her. “Looks like I have an investigation of my own to conduct” Sariah adds.
“What I don’t understand; Callum wants to be King of Vampires and Michael wants to be King or ‘Alpha’ of Werewolves; as he would like to be known. There is someone out there who wants to be King or Queen of Witches and Warlocks, why isn’t there someone wanting to be King or Queen of werebears or werecats?” Denise asks. I look at her confused; I never really thought about this scenario since the chosen for both have not been reincarnated.
**“Goddess Selene may let us talk with Goddess Bastet and Goddess Artio”** Jesse says to me. **“Maybe Joseph or Lucas”** I answer him. “Amanda, can you ask Goddess Selene if we could talk with Goddess Bastet and Goddess Artio?” I ask her. “Or get permission from the two of them; to talk with Joseph or Lucas” Jason adds.
**“Jason is on the same page as us”** I smirk at Jesse. **“Or Parker is.”**
“I was just going to ask Apollo the same thing” Oliver says to us. “And I of Hecate” Sariah includes. “We are all thinking the same thing. We need to know why they have not been reincarnated yet?” I tell them. “Yes, that was my thought also” Oliver proclaims, looking at me. “And mine” Sariah announces.
“Thank you, Denise” Oliver says, smiling at her. “What did I do?” she answers, looking confused. “You gave us a scenario we did not think about. Because Joseph and Lucas have not been reincarnated yet, we didn’t think there was a threat towards werebears and werecats. We need to understand why there isn’t a threat towards them” Sariah explains to the room. “If there is a threat; we need to know why they haven’t been reincarnated yet” Tracey adds, as the recognition starts to show on Denise’s face. “You’re welcome” she giggles.
“We don’t have the advantage of knowing what all of you know. Danny; I think Simon and I need to start teaching you how to drive. Will give you the opportunity to catch us up on what has happened previously. I don’t want any nasty surprises” Dad says; “I can do that, if I can teach Tim how to drive; I can teach you” Simon adds, nodding at me.
“We need to get going. Sariah, thank you for teleporting us back. Amelia wouldn’t have been happy if she had to drive down here to pick us up” Oliver tells her. “It’s not a problem, I was teleporting Leon, Cody and myself anyway” she answers getting up from her chair. “I’ll be in touch” Oliver includes as him, Jeffrey, Conner, Sariah and Leon walk out the door.
I look at Dad; “Joseph was the first werebear human and Lucas was the first werecat. You may be surprised to know, Cosco wasn’t a Lion. He was a white Bengal tiger. The only white Bengal in existence of werecats. His mate Sonia had a lioness; Samara. They had a lion, panther and leopard warriors” I explain to Dad and Simon. “And Joseph’s Grizzley, Jackson; was the largest I have seen” Rick includes as I move from behind Dad’s desk.
“You have been very quiet, sweetheart” Dad says to Claudia. “I’ve been thinking” she answers, “Is that the smoke, I could smell?” Tracey giggles, as Claudia glares a death stare at her. “I can’t ask Brett, because he is on guard duty. Denise; what did the book reveal to you?” Claudia asks.
“Umm; Bernadette gave an introduction. She said hello to Miranda and Anne-Marie and said as there are two new mates for Micah and Deirdre, I will show you both how you came to be mates. I saw what Theresa and Jared did and how Rick felt and how they betrayed everyone. After we were shown our memories, we heard Sariah, although we didn’t know it was her at the time. She said, Miranda; you have been given additional memories for this lifetime and welcome Brett and Denise; you have been chosen to be the mates of Micha and Deidre” she explains to us.
“I had already told Denise about Theresa” Rick includes. “And I told Brett” Cynthia adds as Claudia looks at Denise. “What are you thinking, Snow Blossom?” “Both Joe and Luke or as they were known then George and Harry; they knew about Marcus and didn’t want to help us. Both said he was a werewolf problem. I wonder if Goddess Bastet and Goddess Artio don’t want a repeat of the same occurrence” Claudia answers me; still contemplating her thoughts.
“It could be, because they didn’t help; Callum doesn’t know about werebears and werecats” Cynthia includes. “I would be extremely surprised if he didn’t know about werebears and werecats” Dad tells Cynthia. “I was trying to put a positive spin on the situation” Cynthia giggles.
“Is there any werecats or werebears in the River Moon Pack?” Tracey asks Simon. “You have to be kidding me? James wouldn’t have allowed it” Simon answers her.
“We should get Sophia; I will let everyone know when Amanda gets back” Claudia announces as we both stand up and head for the door. “We all need to keep our eyes peeled. I don’t want Todd, Michael or Callum thinking they can take us” Dad says, before we leave. “Agreed; don’t leave the territory unless otherwise instructed” I include as Claudia and I leave the office.
