Chapter 75

Claudia’s POV
“Rick, tell me what you remember about a vampire named Shelby?” Danny asks, in the meeting, in our room. “Female vampire; did Nesbeth’s bidding, even after she was killed. Followed her for 3 months with Jason about 4 years after she killed Lucas and Joseph and cut off her head. Not much more to tell you, really” Rick replies.
“According to the early manuscripts; Shelby was the mother of Dorothy; Callum’s mate. Also; Callum was tried and sentenced to prison and was released for bearing witness to Joe and Luke committing atrocities against vampires and humans in 721” Jason tells us. “Nope; we killed Shelby in 719 and they were killed 4 years prior” Rick states.
“Claudia; Callum and Kristoff were human brothers and were turned at the same time. Oliver and Jeffrey are talking with Dorothy’s brother, Campbell to find out what he knows. Both Callum and Kristoff were turned to help fight against vampires in Nesbeth’s army” Danny tells me.
**“That makes sense; at the time, Kristoff was the one to grab us. Nesbeth wanted me to heal all her human followers quickly as she was unable to do this”** Amanda says to me. **“Yes, after Jason killed Kristoff; she killed us and Danny told us, he killed Nesbeth”** I tell her.
“Let me get this straight; Danny, you killed Nesbeth. And Jason; you killed Kristoff. Rick, you killed Shelby. Am I correct?” Dad asks, everyone. “Yes” the three of them say together. “Simon, you saw it yesterday; Callum and Dorothy knew you from all those years ago. You killed his brother; you killed his queen and you killed his mother-in-law. See where we are going with this?”
“I see; but Callum has stayed under the radar; the whole time. I don’t remember much regarding him only what Oliver told me what he did; after the fact. I definitely don’t remember him through Nesbeth’s reign of terror. Was he with anyone else?” Danny asks everyone.
“And while you’re at it; why would he want to go after Oliver?” Tim asks, looking around the room.
“Because, Callum and Dorothy believe Hades and Nesbeth had visited them in a dream and told them they were to avenge her death by killing Ronald and take over as King. Finish what she started. Now they feel they need to do the same with Oliver” a darked haired man tells us, coming into the room with Oliver. “This is Campbell” Oliver introduces the man.
“You all should have come to see me to begin with. When Nesbeth took mum; she changed. Even after she was released back to us. Her attitude towards my father, Dorothy and I was different. Dot didn’t care. She adored the earth mum walked on. We tried to convince Dot she was making an error following Mum but she did not listen to us. I was relieved when you killed her; she could be at peace within herself” Campbell says looking at Rick.
“Why the difference in our memory, to what is kept in the records” Danny asks him. “My father was record keeper at the time. Dot had told King Nathanial; Callum knew information and would like to bargain an exchange; this information for freedom. I found out later, Callum came up with a scheme to frame Lucas and Joseph’s name. They told King Nathanial; Joseph and Lucas were helping them. He gave them specific dates, times and events. They went searching for them and found two men who bore a resemblance. Callum identified them as Lucas and Joseph and they were convicted of treason. I found out later, Mum killed the pair years prior” Campbell explains.
“Why did you not report it?” Simon asks, looking at Dad and then Campbell. This is the question everyone wants to know; by our reaction.
“By the time Dot told me what had happened; Callum was already on the council. I was a mere servant. Who would you believe?”
“Marcus and Michael; where do they come into this?” I ask him, as Danny nods his head. “Callum promised Marcus two things when he became king; be his right-hand man and you. When Ronald died and Oliver was given the kingdom; You lot appeared again. Callum was pissed and thought, if he framed Marcus, he would be let off without question. Which he was.” “Not before sending Danny and Jesse on a wild wolf chase” Tim includes.
“Michael; I do not know. I am guessing he was promised something in return, same as Marcus. This time; Callum probably didn’t ask for money. That was his downfall when he was cast out; records were kept about the money that changed hands” Campbell tells us.
“Where are they now?” Dad asks him. “I don’t know; Dot says they move from place to place. Better to be on the move than in one spot; vampires are notorious for moving around” he informs us.
“I’m wondering is this why, Lucas and Joseph didn’t want to help last time” Jason says, looking around the room. “Maybe; but why give us a run around. Why not just tell us they don’t like Callum for putting their name through the ringer?” Tim answers.
I don’t think this is the reason; we didn’t even know they were framed and two innocent men died because of it. “Surely it can’t be the reason. To me; it would be more of a reason to help. We never knew they were framed; they have never said anything of knowing they were also” I tell everyone.
“All I know; Callum has been one step ahead of us the whole time. The information on us; he has had, since we first got our wolves. He probably even knew about our abilities before we showed them the day James was killed. We are only finding information on him; bit by bit. This has got to stop. I want to know everything, from the moment he turned to today. Don’t leave any information out. I even want to know, if he had a fucking dog, named Spot” Danny yells at us.
“He has never owned a dog to my knowledge” Campbell tells him and I start to giggle; causing Dad to start laughing and then Oliver until everyone in the room started laughing. We couldn’t stop.
“I’m trying to be serious” Danny protests; between chuckles. “We know” Dad snickers. “I’m going to go back down to the basement with your permission Oliver. I want to search through the archives. Every bit of information to do with Callum; I want it written down” Simon asks, containing his laughter.
“It will be a big job; you will need help” Oliver says, looking toward Simon. “No worries; I have 4 volunteers, ready and waiting” he smiles around the room. “I can’t; I am going over to Sapphire Moon tomorrow to talk to Matthew with Dad, Jeffrey and Oliver” Danny tells him.
“I wasn’t talking about you. Your brother, Jason, Tim and Rick” Simon answers smirking as Tim, Rick and Jason stop laughing and sit back in their chairs. “We can also ask Tracey, Joanna, Chelsea and Denise to help you as well” Dad injects as the men straighten up again.
“Tomorrow; we will go over to the Sapphire Moon Pack. I want Matthew to keep an eye on the Silver Pride. Give them the list of names Phyliss gave to us; on who was cast out of her pride. See if they are there. I want to know; when Michael visits the Silver Pride and how often he flushes the fucking toilet” Danny injects, his tone forceful.
“No more surprises. We want to be prepared” Dad includes, looking at me. “What?” I ask him. “Nothing; I want you to be wary. If they find out we are collecting every bit of information on them; they might try and get you. I am not having it” Dad snarls, standing up.
“They won’t come near her” Danny spits, putting his arm around me. “With two big, strong Alpha’s protecting me. They won’t stand a chance” I smile, giving Danny a kiss and then getting out of my chair and giving Dad a peck on the cheek.
“Campbell; are you willing to help us?” Oliver asks, looking at him. “I told you a month ago; if there is anything you need to know, just ask. The offer still stands. However; I am not willing to risk the life of my sister. She is all I have now and I don’t want to see her hurt” Campbell answers him.
“All I ask, is please do not send any her information we have. I will promise we will do our best to protect her as well” Danny tells him. “I promise, I will not. I have already told Oliver; I will be limiting what I tell her. My decision is still the same, I will not tell her anything” he remarks, before leaving the room.
“Can we trust him?” I ask Oliver. “To not pass on information, yes. To not hurt anyone or do anything untoward, to any of us. If it’s regarding Dorothy, he can be capable of hurting you; if her life is in danger” he answers with a sigh.
“Then we will not hurt her. Callum yes, Dorothy no” Timothy tells everyone and I start to giggle again, before getting out of my chair and leaving the room with Danny.
