Chapter 63

“What’s going on in that handsome head of yours?” Claudia asks me. **“Wouldn’t you like to know?”** Jesse smirks. **“Shut up! And stop showing me images of what you want to do to her and Amanda. I’m trying to concentrate”** I fume at him. “You don’t want to know” I tell her, rolling my eyes. “Jesse; leave Danny alone” she giggles.
“I was trying to find out what you were thinking” she tells me. “I am thinking; I don’t want Tim to point a gun at me. I don’t want another flashback at the wrong time” I tell her. **“I will do it. You don’t have to worry about getting a flashback”** Jesse answers. **“What?”** I asked, stunned. **“I will get a dummy shot to the ass by Tim”** he says.
“What’s Jesse talking to you about?” Claudia asks me. “Besides the images of what he wants to do to you and Amanda, he said he will get shot in the ass by Tim. I don’t have to worry about having a flashback” I answer her, looking perplexed. “Jesse; you are a softy at heart. Wanting to protect Danny” Claudia coos. **“Stop it; I’m going to lose my reputation”** he spits as I put my hand over my mouth to stop myself from laughing as a knock comes on our door.
“Come in” I call out and my smile instantly disappears. “There goes my good mood” I hiss, as Todd comes into the room. **“At least he knocked”** Jesse adds, growling. “What do you want?” I spit at him as Todd decides to make himself at home by sitting on the sofa.
“Can’t I be interested in what my brother is doing?” he answers smiling at Claudia. “Your brother doesn’t give a fuck if you are interested or not. What do you want?” I yell a bit louder at him. “I’m waiting for Jason and Tim to get here. We want to go over the events before we go” he answers smugly, putting his feet up on the coffee table. “This is not your room; please respect that” Claudia snarls at him; slapping his feet off of the coffee table.
*“Were you coming to our room to discuss what we are doing?”* I ask Tim and Jason, opening a mind link. *“That’s not for another few hours; why?”* Jason responds. *“You better get over here and get Todd out of my room before I throw him out the window”* I tell them. *“Oh; Shit. I’m on my way”* Tim answers and I close down the mind link.
“You’re a bit early” I tell Todd. “What’s a few minutes” he responds, beaming a smile at me. “Minutes? More like hours. Jason just told me. I want you out of my room” I snarl at him as Tim walks in. “Todd; buddy, we told you after lunch not after breakfast” Tim chuckles. “I wanted to spend some time with Danny; a fresh start and all. Get back what dad took away from us; a brotherly relationship” he says, looking at me.
“What Dad took away from us? Since when did you want a brotherly relationship with me? If you wanted one; why hit me and kick me because you felt like it? Why torture me with knives, guns and anything else you could get your hands on. GET OUT” I scream at him as Jesse pushes me back in my mind again.
“I would do as he says” Jesse announces. “Oh shit; the wolf has come forward” Tim says, trying to usher Todd out the door. “He’s not…” “Todd, I wouldn’t go there. Jesse has less tolerance than Danny” Claudia warns him.
“But I want….” He stammers as Jesse picks him up by the scruff of the neck. “You were asked to leave” Jesse says calmly. “Danny will talk to you in Oliver’s office, in a few hours” he adds throwing Todd out the doorway and shutting the door behind him as I come forward again. “He’s going to get himself into trouble” Tim says, heading out the door and helping Todd off the ground.
“I can’t believe that fuckwit; saying it was all James’ fault for him hurting me” I fume at Claudia, coming forward again. “I don’t condone what he is saying. I think he is starting to realise James’ accusations affected him more than he cares to admit” she answers calmly; putting her arms around my waist.
“He’s no different than James; blaming someone else for his own actions” I spit, sitting down on the sofa and Claudia follows. “My courageous fighter; you need to calm down. We will show him he needs to take responsibility for what he has done” she tells me as I let out a long breath.
“What do we do now?” I ask her. “I am going to get Sophia from Mum and Dad; you need to spend some time with her before you go” she says, getting up off the sofa. “I’ll come with you” I tell her, as we head out the door to Mum and Dad’s room.
“If you are going to kill Todd, make sure you dispose of the body appropriately” Mum says as we enter their room. “What?” “Jason was here when you mind linked him; apparently Todd is trying to get Joanna to take back her rejection. Something about Luna Rachael wants them to be together” Mum giggles. “Oh please!” Claudia exclaims, rolling her eyes.
“Where’s Sophia?” I ask, looking around the room. “Your father has taken her for a walk. They should be back shortly” Mum answers. “Did Todd take back his rejection?” Claudia asks mum; both of us expecting the answer to be no. “Yes; apparently. Did it all official in front of Jason and Tracey. That’s where Henry went; to talk to Joanna” she tells us. “I’ll be damned” Claudia gasps.
“I can’t believe that boy; he turned up 3 times when I was talking with Joanna; to give her more flowers. Her room is like a florist” Dad says coming in the door with Sophia. “Sweetheart; Danny” he adds surprised; noticing us on the sofa. “Thanks for the sentiment, Dad” I chuckle and he lets off a growl in response.
“When he’s chasing after her; he is leaving me alone” I smirk at him. “I heard he went to your room this morning” Dad responds, laughing. “Yeah; he is saying he wants a brotherly relationship with Danny” Claudia informs them.
“Oh please!” Mum exclaims as Claudia did moments before and I let off a little chuckle. “What’s so funny?” Claudia and Mum ask in unison. “Nothing” I smirk; as Claudia huffs, narrowing her eyes at me.
“What did you talk to Joanna about?” I ask, changing the subject, as quickly as I could. “I wanted to ask her, how she felt about Todd taking back his rejection. I told her it was her decision if she wanted to take her rejection back as well” Dad informs us. “Is she going to?” Claudia asks, looking at him; hopeful. “I don’t know; I didn’t ask if she was or wasn’t. I am only there to offer guidance” he tells her.
“And what guidance did you offer?” Claudia questions further and I narrow my eyes at her. “That’s between Joanna and I” Dad fumes, and she lets off a sigh at him for not telling her the gossip. I can see the cogs ticking over in Claudia’s mind; “leave her be; let her make the decision on her own” I tell her. “She may need a friend’s input” she exclaims. “No” Dad and I say together as she huffs at us again.
“Alpha Henry” Joanna knocks and opens up the door. “Oh; I didn’t realise you had company. You said your door was always open” she says and starts to shut the door again. “It’s ok, Joanna. We were just leaving. Come in” I call out to her. “I just wanted to tell you thank you for your advice” she says entering the room again.
“Joanna, I am always there, if you need a friend” Claudia says, smiling at her and ignoring my stern look. “Thanks Claudia; I have come to my decision. I have always loved Todd, and I am going to take back the rejection” she answers as I open my mouth; stunned. “I am however; going to make him sweat it out a bit. He deserves it for what he put both of us through” she continues; grinning in my direction.
“You are more forgiving, than I am” I tell her, smiling. “I told him off for involving me in his plot to get Claudia and even though you didn’t have to; you and Claudia stood by me. I also told him you were a bigger person than he could ever be; even after everything he put you through. He told me about a dream he had with you; him; his mother and grandmother. He said he saw how they looked at you; with smiles and love and looked at him with scowls and distain. He said he knew he fucked up; big time for listening to his father and needed to make amends with not only me; but with you as well” she explains.
“That explains his visit this morning” Claudia injects. “He said he was going to go see you. He also told me how his mum got up him for rejecting me as he needed me” she tells us.
“Did he tell you why he took back his rejection?” I ask, whispering; trying to understand Todd’s change of opinion towards me. “He said he needed to change and this was the first step in doing so. He had to accept Goddess Selene knows better than he does and face the consequences if I did not want anything to do with him” she answers.
“Looks like mum knocked some sense into him” Claudia says to me through mind link. “He still has a long way to go, for me to forgive him” I answer her.
“We should leave you” I announce, picking up Sophia. “Alpha Daniel; I want to apologise to you for not stepping in before. I should have and I am truly sorry” Joanna sobs, a tear flowing down her cheek. “It’s ok Jo; I don’t hold any bad feelings toward you” I tell her, smiling; before heading out the door with Claudia and Sophia.
