Chapter 129

Joanna’s POV
Sitting down on my sofa with Cameron in my arms as he fed. I was starting to get a bit nervous about what Demi Goddess Rachael wanted to see Denise, Chelsea and myself about. I was also nervous about going to the coven. I wasn’t a chosen wolf like the others and although Dorothy, Penelope and Josiah would figure it out eventually; they may kill me because of it.
**“Stop thinking that way”** Lesley tells me; laying down in my mind. **“Goddess Selene and Demi Goddess Rachael wouldn’t want you to go without being able to defend yourself. They are probably going to give you all something for an added advantage.”**
**“Perhaps”** I answer with a shrug as I pull Cameron away from my breast and place him in his cot as Todd comes back into our room. “It’s about time you got back. Amanda will be sending us over to her sanctuary shortly” I yell at him.
“I can’t understand why we can’t go there with you” Todd complains as I roll my eyes at him. He has been doing nothing but complaining the moment he heard we will be going to the coven without the men. I roll my eyes at him; “I’m not arguing with you about this” I tell him before the light sends me to Amanda’s sanctuary.
“Joanna” Denise calls out, coming over to me. “Demi Goddess Rachael isn’t here yet.”
“I am now” Rachael states, walking over to Denise, Chelsea and myself with Tracey. I give my sister-in-law and mother-in-law a hug before we all take a seat on a patch of grass together. “What did you need to talk to us about?” I ask Mum.
“We know Dorothy has been told and from what she remembers; all the chosen wolves have special powers. They don’t realise it wasn’t everyone” Mum tells us and I glance over to Denise and Chelsea. “When Amanda goes to Danny; he is able to heal by letting her come forward and we also saw Oliver move faster when Parker was with him. We want you to learn how to use the gifts Selene has given to Jason, Tim and Rick by having Parker, Carter and Seth with you” Tracey states, giving us a smile.
“How are we supposed to do that?” Chelsea asks, narrowing her eyes at the two ladies in front of them. “I’ve never shot a gun or used any other weapons before in my life. Any of my lives.”
“You won’t be” Mum answers, placing her hand on Chelsea’s arm. “You can’t specifically get the gifts they have. What everyone didn’t suspect; Parker had taken over Oliver’s body when he was fighting Callum and swapped back quickly when he needed to speak. You would do the same if you need to show or use any sort of weapons. You will let Carter come forward to do it. It’s like Amanda coming forward to heal someone.”
“And me?” I ask; looking towards Demi Goddess Rachael. I was assuming this is where Parker comes into it. I wanted to make sure this is what they were proposing. “Vincent or Lesley doesn’t have special powers.”
“You will have Parker with you” Tracey states, giving me a smile. “I don’t need him with me since I’m dead and if I weren’t; you wouldn’t be going. They believe Todd and you are chosen because of Danny and the fact they joined the two packs together. We know that isn’t the case; but we can fake it slightly.”
“Wouldn’t Hades have told them?” Denise asks, and I nod wondering the same question. “He didn’t get the chance. He hasn’t been allowed to speak with her since before the attack. They have been assuming things ever since” Mum explains as she gets up off the ground.
“When does Goddess Selene want us to go to the coven?” I ask, standing up next to her. “That is up to everyone. You will be sent back and you will need to explain to everyone what is going to happen with the three of you” she answers as a light sends me back to my room before I could discuss any details with Chelsea and Denise.
“What did mum tell you?” Todd says, instantly in my face as I shake my head at him. “We need to speak with everyone first” I answer, getting off the chair and picking Cameron up before heading out the doorway to go see Claudia, Chelsea and Denise.
*‘Jase; we need to see you at Danny’s room’* I mind link my brother as I run through the compound to the west packhouse. *‘I’m heading there now; Chelsea and Denise said the same thing’* he answers as Todd complains beside me.
“Todd; we will explain everything when we are all together. Just be fucking patient” I yell at him as we arrived at Danny and Claudia’s room. I quickly knock on the door as Danny calls out; “Come in, Joanna.”
Claudia takes Cameron out of my arms and softly bounces him on the spot as Denise, Rick, Jason, Tim and Chelsea come into the room. “We were told the reason why the Gods and Goddesses allowed us to have our counterparts moved from sanctuary to sanctuary again” I tell everyone, whilst they take a chair to sit down. “It’s so we won’t be left defenceless” Chelsea adds and the men look at us confused.
“I will have Seth come over to me” Denise replies, giving Rick a small smirk as Rick’s eyes glaze over to talk with his wolf. “Seth is going to be able to conjure the weapons, if and when you need them?” he asks; clarifying what we were talking about.
“That’s what was told to us” Chelsea responds as Tim puts his arms around his mate; realising she will have Carter with her. “What about you?” Todd asks, looking over to me. “Vince doesn’t have any special powers.”
“That’s why I’m here, isn’t it?” Jason questions as I nod towards my brother with a smile. “I will have Parker with me” I tell Todd as the others all nod their heads in acknowledgement to what is to happen. “I think we just need to get used to being able to do what you can do with your wolves.”
“I understand Parker can make you go faster” Todd begins before turning to Chelsea and Denise to finish his sentence. “Can Carter and Seth use weapons like Tim and Rick? I know there are some things Vince can’t do that I can while he is in control of my body.”
“Like cook Bacon and Eggs, to the point you almost burn down the packhouse” Danny states, glaring at Todd for a moment. “Thanks for leaving me chained up to inhale smoke at the time, by the way.”
“Both of them may not be as accurate as Tim and I; but they have trained over the years to be able to be to use weapons whilst in control” Rick states, ignoring Claudia’s death stare towards Todd about leaving Danny chained up. “We can get away with it” Chelsea adds, trying to evaporate the tension now in the air.
“I suppose we all need to go down to the training compound to let the wolves practice their skills” Jason says, getting out of his seat to head to the doorway. “Jo; you may need to take a Dramamine before you go. The speed takes a bit of getting used to.”
I shrug my shoulders at him, before taking Cameron from Claudia again and heading out the doorway to the nursery to drop him off. **“I suspect you will be going to Jason”** I mention to Leslie as we head down the stairs of the packhouse.
**“Most likely”** she answers me, laying down in my mind. **“We can’t leave him defenceless if Parker is going to be with you.”**
This was all starting to become overwhelming for me. I hope with a bit of practice, I will be all set to face whatever we needed to do. I don’t want to be the one to put the others at risk and prayed to Goddess Selene; I will be strong enough to stand by their side when we head over to the coven.
