I didn’t like it. Lilith going into the city by herself was just not okay. Not with Rob being there. She knew he had eyes everywhere, but it was not stopping her. No matter the fact she was pregnant, nor the fact he wanted to see her. She was doing something stupid. I sat there at the kitchen table worrying. I knew I would get no work done today, not with this kind of worry. Noel came into the kitchen and sat at the table across from me. “I can’t believe you let her go alone.” He said.

“What could I do, she told me I had no power over her, and that is true.” Noel just looked at me and grinned. “What are you smirking about?” “Oh, nothing just that I put a tracker on the truck and her phone. Not to mention thirty minutes ago I sent some shifters to follower her.” I stared at my brother who crossed his arms and looked so smug. “What she didn’t command me not to.” He was so dam smart. “She may be your mate, but she is my Luna, and I have no intention of not being able to find her again.”

If Lilith found out, she would think I ordered this. It would be a fight. She would suspect me of being overbearing and not trusting her. “I did it for you, I can take the blame, now since I know you are going to worry all day do you want to watch the trackers?” I nodded, I loved my brother. He was so great at times. “Where did you get all the equipment to do this?” I asked. “We have a very talented hacker in the pack, and she has a whole slew of surveillance things. I just asked her for the stuff and how to use them.” I looked at Noel. “When did you plan all this?”

Noel smiled. “I don’t know after Christmas. I didn’t think Lilith would let Rob rest, nor would Rob leave her alone, so I have had this in motion just in case.” I raised one of my eyebrows. “You have been tracking her since Christmas?” Noel shrugged and responded “Yeah, you are not the only one who cares for her.” I smiled “You know sometimes you are really smart.” “That is what I have been telling you for years, but you and everyone else never take me seriously.” I laughed. “It is not my fault you are weird all the time, and overly friendly. It makes it hard to think you have a brain.” Noel rolled his eyes. “So can we track her on your phone?” I asked. “Yes, but the computer is better.” I nodded. “Let’s go then we can watch on my computer.”

Noel nodded and said, “First snacks, if we have to sit all day at the computer I am going to need a shit ton of snacks.” I snorted and nodded. Noel began digging in the pantry grabbing a bunch of food. He made popcorn. “Grab the drinks” he said, and I grabbed a lot of them, and we went to my office. Noel pulled one of the comfy chairs up besides mine and got to work pulling up the trackers and we sat there watching where my mate was going. I saw when she got into the city, but she drove right past her mother's house. I leaned in “Where the hell is she going?”

Noel leaned in as well. “Hold on I will call her tail.” “Put on speaker phone.” I continued to watch where Lilith drove. “Where is she going? Did she see you and is trying to get rid of your three?” Noel asked. Then I heard Tate’s voice. “No, she has no idea, that I am sure of. Luna is headed toward the abandon warehouses.” I looked at Noel. He had sent her friends who knew the city. The ones who knew Rob well, and not to underestimate him.” Again, I was surprised by Noels calls on this whole thing. “Okay well don’t go into wherever she is going, just watch unless you think she is in danger.” I looked at him.

“What the hell Noel, wherever she is going she needs backup. What if wherever she is going there is a whole army waiting for her.” I mind linked my brother. He responded over the mind link. “Eric she is not stupid enough to do that. The guys know when to intervene if needed.” I glared at him, not liking this.” I couldn’t believe this. “Call me if something happens.” Tate said, “Got it” Then the call ended, and Noel said “Calm down, okay they know what they are doing okay? I chose them specifically they know the city and they know Rob and his men. If she is going to meet Rob to give Bowie, the punishment he deserves then that is good. Rob would not have a bunch of his shifters there. He wouldn’t risk them all knowing where he keeps them. That is what Percy said at least.”

“Also, he if Rob tries to capture her, he won’t hold her near Bowie, he will take her to a new place, Bowie is too big of a risk to for Lilith, and Rob won’t want to jeopardize her safety if he wants her. The guys will know if she is pulled out and moved, then they will step in.” “And what about if he hurts her inside where they can’t see?” I asked. “Rob will see she is pregnant and won’t think she is a threat since she can’t shift. His arrogance tells him he could beat her easily, so he won’t need to harm her. Percy assured me of that.” I glared at him before turning back to the screen and tracking her. I didn’t like that this was all based off assumptions, but what could I do. I was at least an hour away. We watched as Lilith drove then she parked. Her phone tracker showed she was going into a building she was walking in the building.

The phone started ringing almost immediately. Noel picked it up putting it on speaker. This time it was Marcus “We heard a gunshot. Should we go in?” He asked. I saw her tracker was moving. Noel looked at me. But my eyes were locked on the screen, her phone was moving along inside the building. “Tell them to be quiet and hold. I am going to call her.” He nodded. I pulled out my phone. It rang and my trepidation was building. Her voice cut through the line. “Hey, what is up?” Her voice was calm, like overly calm. “What are you doing almost at your moms?” “Eric, I will call you back.” I heard someone yelling, then the line dropped.

My eyes went back to the screen, and I saw her moving. Marcus said, “We hear more shots.” I could hear one in the background. “It stopped.” I looked at the screen and saw she was still moving. She used a gun? An undignified thing to do, but efficient and deadly. “Marcus just stay there and watch I think she is okay.” I said into the phone. “Got it, we will call you when something happens.” I nodded and Noel disconnected the call.

“Looks like Lilith really can protect herself?” I nodded but didn’t say anything as I watched as her phone continued to move deeper into the warehouse. “They hear more shooting.” Noel said showing me the text. But I saw her phone was still moving. “Tell them to hold.” He nodded. She kept moving until she was in the center of the overly large building. I watched as her phone moved in circles continuously. The tracker would stop sometimes then continue to make circles on the screen. This went on for hours. Then I finally saw the dot showing her phone moving again it moved around the building and then I saw it heading the way she came in.

The dot stopped near the entrance for a while then continued to leave. The phone rang and it was Percy again. “She is covered in blood but other than that she looks fine.” Noel said watch her.” A loud crash sounded over the phone. “What the fuck was that? I asked. “The building exploded there is flames everywhere.” Percy said. “What about Lilith?” He was quiet for a moment. “She is stripping.” I growled in the phone. “Don’t fucking look at her.” All three of the guys said in unison “We aren’t Alpha.” After a silence they said, “She is back and dressed and, on the move, again.” What the hell just happened. We remained on the phone with the guys when my phone started ringing.

“Lilith?” I said picking up the phone. “Hey sorry got caught up before what was it you needed?” I didn’t know what to say. She seemed to sound like normal. Should I say anything? Should I wait until she is home to talk to her about this. “I just wanted to see if you made it to your moms.” I looked at the screen. “Yeah, just pulling up now.” She was. “Alright well I will let you have time with your mom” I said. “Okay well I love you.” “I love you to.” We hung up and I looked at Noel who just shrugged. I spoke to the guys. “Keep a distance don’t let her see you.” I said and they agreed, and we hung up.

Noel looked at me. “I am pretty sure she just killed Rob and Bowie as well as other shifters. I think there is no more threats Eric.” I was gob smacked. I didn’t even know what to say. Why had she not told me her plans. How long had she been planning this? “Axel did you know about any of this? Did Kali tell you?” I asked my wolf. “No, I am just as surprised as you are.” I didn’t know if I should be pissed or feel good about the whole thing. Rob was most likely gone and so was Bowie.

Would she even tell me. Axel responded. “She will, now that it is done, she will come clean.” I thought about what Marcus said on the phone that she was covered in blood. She had to have tortured someone to be covered in blood. I couldn’t picture her doing that. Of being capable of that. Rob said she had a dark soul; he told me she was vicious and would never get better. I didn’t believe him, but she had done that, all on her own. Would it always be like this with her. Even with Kali being better and her not shifting so much she had done this? Was this just who she was? “Axel said “No, both of them are better. Think of what Lilith has done for the pack. This was her closing that chapter of her life. If anything, she will be at more peace now.”
