68. Budding Friendship

Lilith

Eric, Noel, and the three stooges as I call them helped carry the bags I have. Noel had been examining them the whole time I was bringing them around. School had been easy enough to finish in a few hours which was actually kind of awesome. I wasn’t like regular school at all. I was falling through the work, and it was not going to take all day. The only problem with doing school here was that I was not going to be involved in sports. “Well, if you let me out every morning and after dinner before bed, I don’t see that being a problem.” Kali said.

Then continued “Though I will miss the applause.” I snorted, what a vain being she was. We arrived at the first house on my list. I knocked on the door and a woman opened it. She looked at all of standing there. “Can I help you Alpha and Luna?” I spoke clearly. “Yes, Georgia lives here?” She nodded and said “Yes, but she is at school.” I smiled bigger. “Yes, I am aware we wanted to drop this off. I will send out a pack announcement before school gets out so. Make sure she gets this.” She nodded and took one of the many bags that we all carried. Inside there were a few sets of clothes for her to wear to train and I was so happy about this.

Today was the day I implemented uniforms for training and broke everyone into groups. “This is going to be good. He way doesn’t you spilt training. I will train their wolves in the morning, and you do the human side in the afternoon. I want the strongest pack out there and we can do that for them.” I thought about Kali’s words “Would you lose it on them if you were training them, you can’t lose your temper, Kali.” I scolded her. “Nope, I may lose it, but I won’t kill them, I will leave that crime to you seeing as you do it so well.” I wish I could have glared at her for saying that.

We all finished handing out the bags till we had four left. “Are these leftovers?” Marcus asked and I shook my head. “No, these four are for you.” Noel looked at his older brother. “Does Alpha have to wear one?” I shook my head. “No,” I said, and Noel frowned. “I will wear one to, though.” I told Noel who seemed a little more comfortable by that. “If you all could come to the training area earlier today, I would appreciate it. Seeing as you guys are going to help train the pack from now on, but don't you for one fucking second think it is because you can hold your own with me, especially you Percy.” He looked away fast. “Now off with you, I will send out a message in a bit pertaining to all of this.”

Percy and Tate ran off, Noel went to stand by Eric who was looking at me. Marcus was still here of course I could tell he had something to say. “Eric, can I meet you a little later?” I asked and he nodded giving me a searing kiss before walking back. I looked at Marcus. “Luna I..” I cut him off “Marcus when we are alone or just hanging me out call me Lilith.” He nodded “Lilith I am sorry, I just...” I cut him off again “Marcus, calm down I am not mad, you knew what to do and you did it. I am not upset okay we are good.” I told him and he nodded. “So, on a scale of 1 to 10 how bad is my face?” I asked and he snorted.

“So how are you liking your mate?” I asked knowing he was with Roxie? “She is amazing, I mean just what the fuck you know. Like Ro” He stopped talking knowing what he was about to say. I looked at him. “He who must not be named, you know you make him sound like Voldemort from Harry Potter.” I looked at him “He is worse, Voldemort was fictional. But for the future maybe we should make a name for him, I don’t want to call him, He who must not be named, too much of a fucking compliment if you ask me.” Marcus laughed. “Yeah okay, um with how about Shit Bag?” He asked. “No, I already call to many people that.” Marcus laughed.

“I know I had this older foster parent. She was ancient I thought, but she would call stupid people Ninnyhammers?” I raised my eyebrows and began laughing hard. I had never heard that term. “Okay Ninnyhammer, it is” I laughed again and so did Marcus. “Okay, well, like I was saying Ninnyhammer treated us like we were close and some kind of family.” I nodded knowing what he meant. “All the while he was doing nothing to get us to real families. Like we could have been a part of a pack for a long time and now we are, but I can’t help but feel like he wanted us to suffer, but at the same time make us feel like we were thriving and lucky to be in his weird, distorted family.”

I understood and related to everything Marcus was saying. I had felt that way too, once I realized what a batshit fucking asshole he was. “Yeah, I get that, I don’t get what his objective was.” I looked around I didn’t know if I should divulge this or not with Marcus, we were only now really becoming friends, but I felt a kind kinship with him that I didn’t get. “Marcus I don’t know if you know what was said that sent me into that freak out?” I asked he nodded saying. “I do, Alpha and Noel talked to me. I gave them the rundown of what happened with us growing up, well at least the stuff I knew.” I looked at him. “I didn’t know if you wanted me to share it with them, but I couldn’t exactly not you know when directly asked.” He spoke.

I looked away, I didn’t really my personal business out there like that, but I knew Marcus was obligated to tell the truth to Eric and Noel when directly asked. I sighed and said, “So you know Ninnyhammer had been grooming me to be his wife.” I tried not to laugh when I referred to Rob as Ninnyhammer. It was so stupid and I kind of liked it. It was so juvenile, but it also helped lighten this situation by referring to him as that. “Yeah, I know.” I sighed again. “I think he wanted to form a pack of his own, but in a different way. I mean he said he was kicked out of his old one, so maybe bringing us all to him made him think he could get that back, I don’t get why though. It seems weird to me; he is not an alpha so maybe that is why we couldn’t have an actual one. I have no idea how most of this fucking shit works.”

“He said he wanted me to take my place and that he never thought he would ever be able to have this kind of position. I don’t know what the fuck he was talking about then either. Saying nonsense about my wolf being black, I assumed he planned to use me or something. But again, I have no fucking idea.” Marcus and I had begun to walk around. “I have no idea either Lilith, he was always crooked. I was not surprised to find out his intention was grooming you. He doted on you. At first glance it seemed weird and uncomfortable. We all thought it was weird. But then you also went along with him, it was like you thought he was your actual father, so we wrote it off as that, but it was suspicious at least between Tate, Percy, and I.”

I stopped walking and looked at Marcus a scowl on my face. “If you thought that why didn’t you tell me?” He turned his head and gave me a look like you have got to be kidding me. “Lilith, you wouldn’t have listened. You know you would have fucking kicked our asses if we suggested that.” I shrugged. He did have a point, we kept walking. “Do you think he will try anything in the future. You know to you or anyone in the pack, he is a fucked-up dude. He is malicious and you and I both know he insists on getting his way.” Marcus said. He was right on all of those statements. I had known Rob killed when it came to his business. But I didn’t think he would do a thing. He had goons working for him. Mindless robots in my opinion who followed his orders.

He would send them to do his dirty work. “No, Marcus, he personally won’t do a fucking goddam thing. He doesn’t have the fucking balls, his soldiers might though. And you know they can’t fight worth shit.” I said and he laughed. “Maybe not to you, but some of those fuckers are a challenge to fight.” I snorted. “Pussy.” I spoke. “Anyways, I doubt they could even find the pack, how would they, none of them are good at tracking, to my knowledge, and they wouldn’t even know where to start.” Marcus nodded but I could tell he was still a little concerned.

“If they do Marcus, we will be ready, that is why I am pushing everyone so hard during training. I need them to be prepared. We grew up in the city, we have a reliance this pack doesn’t have. They need it. Though they have not seen what we have, they have seen war.” He nodded. “That is what Roxie said.” I nodded. “It was bad from what I hear, my kind, specifically the Draco wolves attacked them with no kind of motivation. They have done that to others too. I have a theory on what Ninnyhammer has in store, but I don’t even think he could do what he wants to do, since he has no fucking way to get to me now.” Marcus looked at me curiously. “What is your theory.” I was silent for a while then said. “I think he wanted to make me his wife, then show me who my father was and use my heritage to get the Draco Wolves to follow him. Or something along those lines.”
