67. Finally, Food

Lilith was lying in bed all curled up next to me. There was still stuff I wanted to talk to her about. I had sent two shifters to watch Rob’s guy. They had gone unseen and had seen people going and coming at all hours of the day and night. Most were humans and some shifters. Bowie had been there a lot. I had them tail him for a while over the few days Lilith had been in bed wallowing. I had found where out that he was now living with Rob. Seemed weird to me that he would be staying with him.

I had tried to look into who these humans were that apparently knew about us. I had gotten no information. I wondered if any of the humans that had gone into the gym were the ones that knew. Noel had replayed everything over and over to me about the encounter Lilith and Rob had. There was no information I had at the moment. Lilith snuggled closer to me. I grinned. Hopefully she would be back to herself when she woke up. I fell asleep but woke up with my cock being sucked.

I looked down to see black hair between my legs. I reached my hand out and pet the long hair I knew so well. I relaxed and let Lilith suck until I busted in her mouth which she happily swallowed. Looking up at me smiling. “So, you going to show me this office?” Lilith asked and I nodded and said, “After you eat, you haven’t for days.” She nodded getting up. It was still raining outside. “Good thing I ordered more than just summer uniforms for the pack.” She spoke.

I knew what she was referring to. She had a plan to mainstream the pack and bring it out of the dark ages. She was starting with the wardrobe during training. Making sure everyone was the same. She said uniforms were encouraging to people. It gives them more of the feeling of being a part of something. At least that is who she felt with the sports she competed in. I smiled at her. As she got up and stretched going to the bathroom, I knew she was going to get dressed. “It is cold now, right?” She asked calling out from the closet. I pulled out my phone and looked. “Yep, guess it is fall now.” I said and she soon came out in tight leggings and a cropped sweatshirt.

God, how did she always look so good. No matter if it was leggings. She had fuzzy socks on her feet. And the oddest thing was a necklace. She was not much for jewelry, nor were most shifters. They would fall off if they had to shift at a moment's notice. Most women didn’t want to lose their jewelry. I turned my head. “What why shouldn’t I wear some of my horde, well my small horde right now but it will grow. Ellen took us to a hot spot if you ask me, lots to steal and I personally plan to exploit the fucking shit out of it.” I snorted. There she was this was Lilith, I knew.

“I wish she was still here.” Lilith said and I looked at her like she was nuts. I never expected her and my sister to get along. Ellen had stayed for a week more after the BBQ. Her and Lilith being inseparable when Lilith got home from school. Usually with Roxie as well. Noel and I had been shocked to see the three of them always laughing. Lilith had sufficiently corrupted the two of them. “By the way her, and Juliet have been texting you nonstop. Obviously, I didn’t tell Juliet what was going on. Noel said you were upset over Rob which she understood. I told Ellen everything, sorry I didn’t ask.” I waited for Lilith to get upset but she remained calm.

“Anyways Ellen is worried you should send her a text, she even thought about coming back here to be here for you.” I watched Lilith smile and grab her phone as I got up and grabbed my clothes. “What did you tell the pack? Seeing as I have been locked in our room for a while?” Lilith asked. “That you were not feeling well. Which is true, you weren’t” She nodded as we walked out of the room in search of some food. As we got downstairs, she looked at the spot that had now been clean. There was no more mud, but she knew that is where I had fucked her on the foyer floor.

Lilith let out a laugh and I joined in. “Who do you think walked in on that display?” She asked. I shrugged. I heard someone while I was inside her but didn’t even care in the moment. All I could do was look at my mate, and how she was responding to me being inside her. I was relishing the moment of being inside her, and I didn’t really care about anything else in that moment. “I guess eventually we will find out, but I don’t really care.” Lilith said leaning into me.

“What day is it by the way?” Lilith asked. “Friday” She nodded. “Well Juliet is going to flip out tomorrow when she sees me. No amount of makeup is going to cover this shit up.” I looked at her face. There had been some healing over the days she had held up, but she was right it was obvious still she had the crap beat out of her. “What do I even say to the pack about this?” She asked pointing to her face. “Say whatever you want?” I shrugged. I didn’t know. Lilith and I sat down at the table and food was brought to us, I had mind linked for a buffet of food when I woke up.

I had known that she needed to eat. She had forgone it completely while she had been in her mood. Lilith’s eyes got big as she began to stuff her face, and I ate much slower. I had not forgone food, my stomach hadn’t been starved. She had her phone out and was texting with only one hand no doubt responding to Elle, Juliet, and Roxie. Noel walked in and Lilith looked up at him, her face stuffed. He gave her a soft smile and shook his head, and took a seat, grabbing food.

“You two know you have a bed, right?” I gave him a look like I couldn’t care less. “So, it was you who walked in us yesterday.” Lilith said with no embarrassment. “Thank fuck no, I didn’t this time, but several people did. They were looking for you Eric, and I must say the two of you really have the gossip mill going. At least the pack is happy you are now feeling better seeing as you left your room.”

“Though I do wonder what they will think about your face.” He moved his face to get a better look at Lilith’s. “Does that hurt, it looks painful?” Lilith shrugged. “Pain is weakness leaving the body.” Noel snorted. “Okay keep telling yourself that, glad to see you are okay. I have been worried about you. Just so you know I am not the only one, and no I am not just referring to Eric, turns out you being a hard ass has inspired some devotion from the pack. I think it might be because of your friends from the gym. You know they have the nicest things to say about you. Mostly about what a bad ass you are.”

Lilith gave a soft smile as she crammed a sandwich into her mouth. Noel took one that had been stacked on the plate and began to eat with us. “Can you believe Eric is letting Juliet spend the weekend with us tomorrow? Now don’t hog her all weekend.” Noel looked at my mate. Lilith laughed. “I will do whatever the hell I want, and you know it. Besides don’t sit here and pretend you are not going to the city to see her often.” I knew Noel had been doing it. He would spend time with those watching the gym and then go see Juliet after school. He was the one who broke the news to her that Lilith would not be returning to school, and neither would he.

Though he tried to convince me to let him stay. It was ridiculous, he was already done with high school, and he had tried to beg me to let him go back. I had said no obviously, he had only been there to keep his eyes on his Luna now that she was staying here so was he. Other than when he went and saw Juliet and did some spying. “Fine” Noel said to Lilith who smirked with a smugness only she could conjure. The three of us continued to eat, Noel and Lilith exchanging comments bickering playfully like they were siblings it became amusing when Lilith took some pudding and flung it at Noel.

I stopped him from reciprocating before it turned into a food fight, which I knew would have happened. Lilith flipped him off as we rose from the table. “Come on I will show you to your office, and you can get started on your schoolwork.” Lilith smiled at me and grabbed my hand and leaned into me as we walked. “Thank you by the way for setting this all up. You know the school stuff and giving me an office.” Lilith said. “Nah it is okay; I am glad you will be home instead of over an hour away.”
