47. Sisters

Cora was all ready for school. Her long black hair was braided into long braids that wrapped around her head like a crown. Her makeup was dark around her eyes making her striking blue eyes pop. She looked like she should be in some kind of magazine. Noel was next to me. I wanted the whole pack to be here for this. She was going to be in our pack now. I walked Cora through what would happen.

She was smiling at me, and everyone had their eyes on us. “Can you hold your hand out in front of you.” Cora gave me her hand. I could see the excitement in her eyes. I took out a sharp knife I used for this occasion specifically. “Do you promise to live and die for Grey Crest Pack.” I watched as Cora said. “I promise.” I nodded. “Do you promise to follow me as your alpha?” I was supposed to ask this, but I had a surprise I was going to add to her initiation to this pack. “I promise.” I smirked. “Do you promise to be a good Luna and try your best to lead this pack to the best of your ability?” Lilith turned her head and said “I promise.”

I the sliced my hand and hers, grasping it in my own so our blood mingled with one another's. I felt her joining the pack link and she must have to because I saw her eyes dilate as she joined the pack link. I sent her a mind link. “Welcome to the pack Luna.” She giggled at the sound of me in her head. “Hi” She said over the mind link. Then Kali entered my head “Hey Eric I have been wanting to tell you that you better be fucking nice to Lilith or I will kill you, well not really you, but I will make sure you suffer.” Okay that was weird I thought. “Okay Kali, well I don’t see that happening but I will try my best.”

I reassured Lilith's wolf the best I could. “You should probably be going, so you are not late for school. I can’t mind link you when you are that far away, just so you know.” I mind linked Lilith and she nodded. Noel followed behind her. I watched as Roxie gave her a big hug. Some of the pack congratulated her for joining the pack and telling her they are happy they are her Luna. This should have been what happened when I first brought her here. I was glad she fought Ferris.

It seemed the consensus was now that she was formidable. Which was good because Lilith was very good. I watched as she turned back around. She looked right at me and ran straight into my arms, planting her lips on mine. She kissed me in front of the whole pack with nothing held back. My brother, Noel, he freaking cheered and then some of the pack joined in. Lilith pulled away only to give me a quick peck on the lips as she walked back through the crowd. She caught up with Noel and the two of them left.

I returned to my office to get some much needed work done. When my phone rang, I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Ellen, my older sister. I picked up. “Hey Ellen.” I said and the first thing I got was a verbal lashing “You couldn’t call me and tell me you had a mate, but not just any mate one who is a Draco wolf. Oh, and let’s not forget that your new Luna killed Ferris yesterday.” I sighed and spoke to my sister. “Ellen calm down. Ferris called her out, he challenged her. I don’t even know why it matters; you are not part of this pack anymore. And besides it isn’t like Lilith chose to be a Draco wolf.” I told my insane sister. She went on. “And the um thing in public, I mean Eric that stuff is not okay where others can see it?” Oh okay, makes sense she had been talking to Mia. They had been friends when Ellen lived here, and I knew they continued that friendship once my sister moved away.

“It wasn’t like we had sex where everyone could see us, Ellen. Tell Mia to mind her own business.” My sister was quiet and then said “Who said Mia told me?” I laughed through the phone. “Of course it was Mia, she walked in on Lilith blowing me.” My sister gasped. “Eric come on don’t speak like that it is not polite, and like I said doing it in public, you should know better.” I rolled my eyes. “Anyway, I got a text that she is on the pack link now.” “Why does it matter to you what is happening here? You are in another pack.” I loved my sister but, she was very proper. Noel and I called her Miss Manners behind her back growing up. Well, not just growing up we did it now.

“Eric I am coming for a visit. I want to meet this girl. I heard she was still in high school still?” I rolled my eyes. Of course she wanted to come here. “Ellen, you don’t need to come here. And does it even matter that is she is 18? You know it doesn’t matter, as long as it is legal. I mean look at grandma.” I responded. “Yes, I am coming, I want to see how she is, I want to meet my new sister-in-law.” I cut her off. “Ellen we are not married.” My sister laughed. “Of course you aren’t, if you were I would have been at the wedding, you are not inconsiderate enough to not invite your only sister.” What was going on.

“Anyways, she will be my sister-in-law soon enough. I mean it would be unheard of if you didn’t marry your mate.” That was true, everyone married their mate eventually. But I didn’t think Lilith wanted that anytime soon. I knew she grew up with humans and she was 18. I didn’t think that was something to bring up anytime soon. “I see your point with grandma though” I knew that would get her off my back. Grandma was 16 and Grandpa was 25. It was a big age difference and now a days would have been illegal, not like my situation. Granted that was more than 50 years ago so it was just a different time.

“So, I will be there tomorrow. I want to see her training. I heard she was a maniac in the fitness department. Also, I was told she needs some help knowing how to dress, I can help her there. I think someone just needs to show her how to be a Luna you know. Besides that, is what sister and laws are for right?” Fuck, this was not going to go well. Lilith would not put up with being treated like a project. But then again maybe it would be the wakeup Ellen needed to stop being a prude. If anything, Noel and I would have a good laugh.

“How long will you be staying? And are you bringing the boys?” I asked Ellen. She laughed. “Wouldn’t you like to know? And no I will not be bringing the boys. Are you kidding they have school. Much like your mate.” She began to laugh and I rolled my eyes. “Ellen I need to know how long you are going to be here.” She was quite then in a haughty voice said “I don’t have to tell long I will be at home.” I grumbled. “Ellen this is not your home anymore.” She hung up on me. Fucking great, I pulled out my phone and texted Noel and Lilith in a group chat. “Ellen, Noel’s and I sister, is going to be at the pack tomorrow.”

I didn’t have to wait long, and Noel texted. “Omg, Lilith this is going to be good, oh and I am so sorry. Don’t group Eric and I in with her madness.” Lilith had not responded. Noel then said. “She is driving. I will fill her in on the whole Ellen situation. God, this is going to be hilarious.” I snorted of course Noel would find this amusing. “So, you let Lilith drive this morning?” I asked. “Yes, to my dismay. She wanted to drive, and I have to say, if you don’t hear from me, it is because we crashed. She drives like she is in Nascar.” I laughed. “You do know she steals cars right, shouldn’t be surprised by her driving.” I texted.

“Oh crap, I forgot about that. I would believe it, how she drives; you know I think we are going to be early; I am going to see if she will go through the McDonalds's drive through for breakfast.” I waited for a minute than texted. “Best fucking Luna, she said yes.” I snorted “Lilith I am sorry this is all in a group chat.” I apologized then Noel responded. “I am not sorry Lilith I am glad you know that you are the best fucking luna.” I rolled my eyes. There was a knock on the door. I didn’t look up as I said “come in.”

A cringy voice said “Alpha” Yep it was Mia. “What do you want Mia?” I didn’t look up at her. But the inflection in her voice made her sound like she was nervous. “Alpha.” “What do you want Mia?” “Can you look at me please?” I raised my eyebrows “What?” She looked nervous. I tried to relax my voice. “Alpha, I, I” I raised one of my eyebrows. “I am sorry I shouldn’t have come here.” She then ran out of my office. That was weird. I texted Noel in a private text. “Mia was in my office it was weird. No, she didn’t say anything and ended up saying sorry she shouldn’t have come and then she ran out it was weird.”

Noel responded, “That is weird, maybe it was about you fucking Lilith in the kitchen last night.” I smiled thinking of that. “Does everyone know about that?” I asked and he said “Yep, trust me, the guys in the pack think you are god by the way.” What the hell did that mean, and why was the pack so interested in my sex life? I put my phone down and got on my computer to look financials.
