27. Getting to Know Juliet

I saw what Lilith was doing. I had felt her put a watch in my pocket. I watched her as she bumped into the couple's table. I knew that was not her real smile. Of course, Juliet didn’t know what was going on. Despite the fact Noel had told me about her opinion on Rob and his involvement with my mate. I doubted Lilith told her of her crimes. She may suspect but from what I had been told they were extremely close and if she did know she wouldn’t blame her friend but blame it on Rob’s influence.

Noel didn’t seem to notice either what Lilith had done. I had to hand it to her, she was great at what she did. Maybe if she was not the Luna of the Grey Crest Pack, she could have the potential as a professional illusionist. “I will be right back.” I said to Noel and Juliet, not explaining where I was going. I was sure my brother was thinking I was going to find Lilith to have sex with her in the bathroom. Which honestly sounded appealing seeing as her cheer uniform was still on her body and I found it incredibly sexy.

I hurried catching up with Lilith as she opened the door to the family restroom. I slid in, shutting the door behind us and locking it. Lilith had no look of embarrassment or shame. She just smiled at me. “Did you come here to fuck me?” She gave me a flirty look. My resolve was crumbling, I would have loved to do that. She looked so dam hot. “Well, we can’t. I pulled it out and handed it to her. “What a fucking idiot.” She said looking at it. Then I watched as she lifted her top. “What are you doing?” I asked, trying not to pounce on her. I had to physically turned away from her to prevent it.

“My shirt is down now Eric you can turn around.” I did try nonchalantly to hide my raging hard on. Lilith noticed but said nothing. I didn’t know if I should speak to her about the stealing or not. I knew it was wrong and I knew she did it. But, like when Noel spoke to me about her stealing, I felt uncomfortable. I had seen her desire before to steal, but I had stopped her. I didn’t know if I should say something. This was the tradeoff for her keeping her in control. She had to do this to keep herself sane. I knew this. But she had made me an accomplice stuffing an expensive watch in my pocket. “Lilith, I am not mad let me say that first.” Lilith instantly frowned at my words. “I just don’t want to be an accomplice in the future.” Lilith looked at me. I couldn’t tell if she was talking to her wolf. But eventually she nodded. I hope that meant she was not mad at me. “We better get back. I want you to get to know Juliet.” I nodded.

I was glad I had told her I didn’t want to be involved in her crime. We went back to the table when Noel said “Back already? That was fast.” I gave him a look to shut up. Juliet asked me a million questions. I felt like I was being interrogated as we ate. I knew she was trying to see if she could find something to be concerned about. It was apparent she loved Lilith and wanted her taken care of. After eating the girls wanted to look around a little and we had a little while before Lilith had to return to the school for the game.

Noel looked bored out of his mind. Trying to joke around with me but I watched how my mate interacted with her human best friend. They seemed to almost have their own language and inside jokes. Lilith I also noticed was not buying anything. I thought that was strange, but I knew how she had always been tight on money. This was proof she was a money pincher. I thought maybe she would steal again, but she didn’t. I figured it had to be because she had nothing to put whatever she stole.

But of course, Juliet knew, Lilith was not shopping, after a while it seemed she couldn’t take her not buying anything. I listened as Juliet said “Lilith pick out some things, and before you say you are fine, I am buying, you know my parents are generous with my allowance. I don’t want to hear your excuses if you don’t pick some things out, I will shop for you, so you are getting some things either way. So, it comes down to if you want me to dress you or you want to dress yourself.” Lilith smiled at her.

I had a feeling this happened a lot. I watched as Lilith pulled a few things for herself. I knew the pack elders would think it was inappropriate, but I had told them and the pack. I would not dress my mate, to make them comfortable. I just had a problem with doing something like that. Noel said “Can’t we go look in another store Eric. I get it you like watching your mate, even during mundane tasks but this is watching the two of them shop and it is boring. At least at school they include me in their jokes and stuff but now we both have become ignored and in a women's clothing store no less.”

I ignored him which made him sigh deeply. I rushed to the checkout counter and pulled out my card. Juliet looked surprised as I said, “I got this” She was about to argue but Lilith smiled at me and told her it was okay. I knew she liked the gesture that her friend would not be paying for her clothes again. “We need to get going.” Juliet said as we exited the store. All of us agreed. Juliet seemed to want to walk alone with Lilith and I again stepped back. Close enough to hear but not close enough to intrude. I knew this was their routine and since I was still firm on Juliet not coming to the packhouse I could at least give them their time together.

I listened in. “Noel slipped in the car I know that. He referenced you live with them?” I glared at my brother who seemed to be in his own world. Juliet continued. “Why didn’t you tell me, and why would you move in with someone you just met? I don’t get it. Not only that but the way he looks at you, the way you look at him. It is just different. You didn’t seem this way with Bowie.” I tightened my jaw. Lilith may have not wanted to know about my past with women, but I wanted to know Her's. Lilith responded. “Yes, thanks by the way for talking about him in front of Noel.” Juliet didn’t seem to react.

“You are avoiding the conversation. You are living with them?” Lilith nodded and looked back at me. Shooting me a wink. I smiled; she was cute. My eyes fell to her hips as they switched back and forth. Her tight ass with them. She turned back around. “I don’t know Juliet really. He is just I can’t explain okay.” Juliet responded. “We are not done talking about it, but I will drop it for now.” Lilith nodded at her. Once to the parking lot we all stood. “I am going to ride with Juliet. She has my pom poms in her car, and my backpack, and my clothes for after the game.”

I looked at the two of them. Noel mind linked me. “Please can I ride with you to the school. I love the Luna I do. I don’t even mind being at school with her. But Juliet and her all since school let out have hardly spoken to me, them buddying up against me.” I mind liked him back “Aww are you feeling left out?” My brother’s face was neutral. “The Luna is my best friend. I told you the day she arrived at Grey Crest but since I don’t have a vagina, I am left out of Friday routines.” I snorted. Both the girls were looking at Noel and me. “We will follow behind you guys.”

Lilith smiled and ran to me, giving me a kiss on the cheek and going back to Juliet. As Noel and I got into my car I said sarcastically. “Did you really want to be included in their routine?” He didn’t respond but his face was red. I laughed as I said. “I don’t think you would want that if that meant you had to get your balls waxed?” He looked at me horrified and I laughed hard.
