Missy clearly didn't know what to say because she just sat there. “Anyways, that is all I wanted to say.” Lilith stood up and I followed her as we walked to the door. “Wait” Missy called out and Lilith turned to face her. “Look I know I am not that great of a mom... okay a real shitty one.... but I am happy for you.” Lilith smiled and then most shocking of all she hugged the women. And her mom tentatively wrapped her arms around her daughter.

When they let go Missy looked ashamed. “I know we have not been close, and I know it was my fault but if you want to call sometime, I think that would be nice. Also maybe let me meet your sons once they are born. I know babies are supposed to be blessings, and you know with you it didn’t feel that way. But you won’t have what I did. Maybe these babies could be the blessings that babies should be.” Lilith smiled. “Do you have some paper, I can give you, my number.” She said Missy ran to find something and she gave her mom the number. “Call me anytime.” Lilith paused. “Mom, I do love you, you should know that.” Then she hugged her mom again and we left.
