34. Bear Trap

Lilith strolled in with Roxie. She looked just as if she had nothing going on, no care in the world. Roxie on the other hand looked extremely uncomfortable. Even the way she was moving was awkward. Noel smirked and nodded in approval. My little brother mind linked me. “Lilith did a great job. Maybe the rest of the females in the pack will finally get out of the dark ages.” I shoved his shoulder. I knew Noel didn’t want any woman. He had been celibate since his mate had died.

The manner in which she passed had been traumatic and I worried Noel blamed himself. They had just been playing as their wolves. Our wolves liked to play games it was something mates did often. Axel did it often enough with Kali. Noel and Jean had been mated only a year and their wolfs were playing a game of chase. When Jean’s wolf Gia ran into a highway and out of nowhere a semi-truck ran right into her killing her. It had happened in a flash and Noel had gotten to her just to see her wolf form sprawled across the payment.

Gia had been so brutally killed that her body never shifted back into her female form. It had destroyed Noel and he had never shown any interest in anyone else. Which was no surprise to anyone. He had the mate bond. He had marked her. But I after her death his mark vanished. But it had been there so nothing probably was ever going to feel the same when it came to women for Noel. So, it was surprising to now see my brother looking at two women with interest in the last two days. One being Juliet, a human, and now Roxie.

Roxie looked so nervous as she came into the dining room and sat down beside Lilith. I now wished I could mind link Lilith so we could have a private conversation, to see how they got on hanging out. If she might consider Roxie the first of her friends at Grey Crest pack, besides myself and Noel. Though her and mines relationship was much deeper than friendship. But I couldn’t mind link Lilith yet. She was not part of our pack link.

Though she was still the Luna. I knew this was not the right time for her to be brought into the pack link. The elders all still had feelings of trepidation about her. Though I think seeing what she was capable of made her a little less of a bad shifter in their eyes. But I also worried that her abilities might scare them as well. With her being so strong and that she was a Draco Shifter. Lilith smiled at me batting her long black eyelashes.

Her blue eyes piercing into my soul. She looked so appetizing, just downright delicious. I finally spoke “Are you curious to know what Noel and I have been up to?” I asked my perfect mate. “Yes, what did you guys do while Roxie and I hung out?” She smiled I could tell she was curious. I replied. “Well, Noel and I and a few of the other shifters set up your training stuff under the massive, covered space.” Her smile was now over her whole face. I could tell this pleased her. “Fucking Fantastic.” Noel chuckled and Roxie tried to manage a smile, but it looked strangled. She had to be uncomfortable with the swearing. It was not super common in this pack.

“Are the bags heavy enough?” Lilith asked. I shrugged. She had ordered so many punching bags and weights. “I don’t know. I had one of the shifters try to knock it off its structure and he couldn’t, though I didn’t try it myself.” She nodded. “Well, I can try one out tomorrow. I ordered the heaviest ones I could find. Rob’s stayed intact with all the shifters that came there. But we didn’t have the number this pack does so I don’t know how well they will hold up. We may have to buy more. I also don’t know if Rob made them, like he did the several big wheels in the attic of his gym. So, know way to know for certain if they will withstand all the use they will be getting very soon.”

I hoped they held up. If not, Lilith and I would either have to buy more or find a better solution. Lunch was huge and all of us stuffed our faces. By the time it was done, I could tell Lilith was getting antsy. I figured it was more Kali than anything making her feel that way. Axel was ready to be let out, but he never made me uncomfortable. I knew that was not the case with Lilith. Kali, I had come to realize could inflict a lot of pain on my mate. When she first shifted in front of me it was like Lilith couldn’t control the shift. I didn’t think this had anything to do with her being a half shifter.

I had met only a few half shifters, none of them were Draco wolves. They all seemed to be in control of their wolf, and never had I ever seen them be in pain or be controlled at times by their wolf counterpart. “We should go ahead and shift.” Lilith said. She pushed from the table. As she walked toward the opening to leave the packhouse I looked at Noel and Roxie. “Are either of you coming for a run as wolfs?” Roxie and Noel both shook their heads telling me that Kali and Axel would be alone.

I followed after Lilith who had already left. I had just made it outside as I saw Lilith shifting her clothes in a head on the ground. I noticed some of the pack members had been close by and had watched her shift. I didn’t know if they wanted to see her naked or if they wanted a glimpse of her wolf. A lot of the pack had yet to run with Kali. But they most likely wouldn’t during the weekend, as I gave them two days to do whatever they liked within reason. I stripped down and shifted, and through Axel’s eyes, I watched as she ran off after his mate.

I mostly kept out of the eyes of Axel giving him time with his mate. I let my mind go to the things Lilith had said the night before in the car. The things those beautiful red lips said. Some of the things I had not ever even thought females did. Other than in porn. She wanted to be crawling on her hands and knees for me. How she wanted me to fuck her mouth. She wanted to be debased. I had some knowledge of sex prior to Lilith. Just a few female shifters and a few humans that I encountered in the bars when we traveled. But the human women never could quite keep up. They were human after all, and the few shifters were not known for being good females. They tended to be ostracized for their lack of morals. Even they didn’t know much about the actual act of sex.

But my mate, Lilith she had been a virgin and yet she knew more than even I knew. I knew of such things she did but have never had anyone want those kinds of things. It was a massive turn on to know she liked things so depraved as she did. I planned to give her every one of her sexual desires. I wanted to have her crawl for me. I wanted to bend her over and spank her until her ass was blue. Fuck, if I was in my human form, I knew I would be hard. I wondered if Axel could feel what I was feeling. I had a good grip and usually kept my feelings to myself.

I decided it was not time to ask him if he could feel my arousal. I would do it when he was not spending time with Kali. But I felt him whimper in my head and I decided to look through his eyes to see what was going on. I couldn’t see what exactly had happened. Other than we were deep into the woods, and it was dusk. Kali was whimpering, growling, and pacing back and forth like she couldn’t decide what to do. She was pacing rubbing her body against Axel. “What is going on Axel? I feel your pain and Kali is freaking out.” Axel gave a labored reply. “My leg it is in a bear trap.” He said in my mind through labored breaths. Fuck this was bad.

I could tell we were not on pack lands we had run deep into these woods. I knew there were hunters that frequented these parts, but it was poachers not regular hunters. We had placed our pack around protected forest for this very reason. I couldn’t communicate what to do with Lilith or Kali. Suddenly I saw through Axel eyes that Kali shifted into a naked Lilith. She spoke to my wolf while she pet him. “Axel I am going to get you out okay, but you can’t shift back to Eric. You must not pass out. You can close your eyes but do not sleep okay. You will heal faster if you can stay as, you are.” Axel nodded.

Lilith moved and soon I felt Axel’s leg go free. I felt his pain and it hurt bad. I worried it had crushed the bone. Lilith was right, if Axel stayed as himself instead of shifting to me, he could progress the healing faster. I would still need medical attention, but it would be way less severe and heal just fine. Lilith and then looked at the wound her face twisted, then she shifted again becoming Kali. Kali licked Axel’s back leg and then moved so she was under him. He was a large wolf and she had tried for a while to carry him on her back, but it was no use.

She set Axel down who was once again whimpering. Kali then bit into Axel’s neck, he whimpered again, it hurt him, but it would not be fatal. She had bitten into the right spot. Then she began dragging him, it was slow and seemed like hours. But we finally made it back to the pack land and I started to mind link the pack. As Kali dragged my wolf, others came and looked at the situation. Kali kept a firm grip on the neck. I then realized she had not let go to make sure no blood seeped out. Axel said to me “I am going to pass out.” Then he did and I was in human form but then suddenly everything went black.
