42. Arson
Lilith
Bjor came into the shop, he was wearing a signature suit. He was nice to look at with his shoulder length blond hair that hung down the sides of his face and his accent was attractive. It was no wonder he did a good job selling the stolen cars, he was clean cut and dressed well, people would trust him to be reputable. He removed his designer sunglasses and turned his head looking at me. “Lilith did you bring a car in?” I shook my head.
We had a history, not that we ever dated, but he liked me. He had asked numerous times to take me to dinner. It didn’t matter to him that I had been a minor. It was common where he was from that older men dated younger women, and apparently a sixteen-year-old was fair game to him. “Are you here to finally tell me you are ready for me to take you out. I am glad my persistence has won out.” Again, I shook my head. Marcus was there watching the whole exchange.
Bjorn, looked confused so I filled him in. “I want to buy the Maserati?” I bluntly said. He must have thought I was joking because he began to laugh. But when neither Marcus nor I laughed he soon realized it was not a joke. “Lilith you can’t afford that car.” I looked at him, I was getting tired of hearing that. I had money, well at least now I did thanks to Eric. “I know you want 200,000 for it but the number of cars I bring you, you should decrease the price for me.” He stared at me. “Lilith, baby you can’t be serious that I will just give you the car for free.” I again looked at him.
“I am not asking you to do that, but I don’t think I should have to pay that full amount. I have made you millions, and you obviously are having a hard time moving the car so let me take it off your hands.” I said flatly. I hated that he called me baby. He began to bite the end of his sunglasses like he was thinking. “Here how about a deal, then?” I raised my eyebrows. So, he could play ball that was good to know. “You let me have you for one night and I will give you the car, no payment.”
My stomach churned at the thought of whoring myself out just for a fancy car. I knew Bjorn was wealthy, that he lived in the right part of town, he never stood out among the wealthy, to them he was a guy who sold beautiful high-priced cars, and bikes. He probably thought that I would jump at the idea. Seeing as he thought I was poor and the idea that someone as rich and handsome as him would give me some attention was something I needed in my life. “Bjorn I am not going to do that, I have turned you down the last two years, despite the nice gifts you have given me, but I want that car, and I will pay you for it. I am not a whore, and I won’t sleep with you for the vehicle. All I want is to buy it and at a decent price.”
He was looking right at my cleavage when he said. “Yeah, no Lilith, I have been patient, and you know that, but now you want something from me, and I want something from you.” He spoke. Kali was begging for me to kill him. Maybe I should, the thought was brief, and I pushed it away. I just killed someone already today. He deserved it but as much as I didn’t like what Bjor was suggesting I didn’t think he deserved to be buried. “100,000 Bjorn.” I offered and he shook his head. “My way darling, it is my way or nothing.” I stormed out of the garage. He was just now being a dick. If he wanted to be like that, I would show him.
Kali was laughing in my head. She knew I didn’t really care about crimes, and I had told her what I now would be committing. I needed a few things first and I wanted to make sure Marcus was long gone before I enacted my plan. I went to the closest hardware store then the gas station. Paying this time, I got what I needed. He wanted to play like this then game on. I offered a good price, for all the money I made him, and now he was going to tell me I needed to spend a night with him, well fuck him.
I hid myself, around the corner waiting for Bjorn’s nice Ferri to pull away. I was sure Marcus had left. He was there all night, and he wouldn’t need to work the day shift. I waited for over an hour and Bjorn finally left. The garage had not opened and there was only one guy in there probably. I had only seen one go in. But I had no plan to harm him, what I was going to do would give him warning and he would be able to get out.
I was a master at sneaking, I had been doing it for a long time. I knew there was cameras and moved around them, I had brought a shovel, the cameras focused on the top of the fence not below it. The hole was finally big enough and I squeezed under it and dragged my stuff through. I kept to the wall and knew I was unnoticed. Part of keeping this place a secret was the fact security was not to high and it was left mostly alone during the day. I couldn’t get in with all the locks. It was just going to be too hard not to mention a camera was right on it.
But this was as warehouse and there were windows at the very top of the building. That was how I would get in. Now I never considered myself a great climber, but I didn’t need to be. I was good at sports and that meant I could throw very well. I mixed my stuff on the ground. Molotov cocktails. I made several just ready to be lit and boy did I. I threw several through the window. I moved swiftly exiting the area and making sure I gathered all my stuff. I again went to watch. Sure, enough the place was soon burning, I smiled, and Kali was cheering me on in my head. I may have not gotten what I wanted but I got something better. I had destroyed Bjorn’s life.
“Now what do you want to do Lilith?” There was still a lot of day left. “Let’s go to Robs for a bit, and then something else. I don’t want a car now Kali, probably best if I hold off not to draw attention to myself after the arson.” Kali laughed manically in my head. I had just done something that would result in a lot of problems for Bjorn and his lifestyle. I knew I would not be bringing him cars in the future. Kali said, “Maybe Rob will hook us up with another seller.” Kali loved the car stealing. It had been one of her favorite crimes I committed. I couldn’t blame her, driving them around was a thrill. “Just don’t tell Rob about the fire.” Kali said. “But you should tell him what that asshat said to you about spending a night with you. Rob will make sure we get another hookup for that kind of thing.”
Marcus unfortunately would be a victim in the arson. He would have no place to work, with all that going up in flames. But he was talented, he would be able to get another job. He had no record that I knew of. I hoped I didn’t wreck him over to much. After spending some time with him, I came around to the idea he wasn’t so bad. Maybe I shouldn’t have pushed away the other shifters friendships so much. The thought was there when I walked into Rob’s Gym.
Rob was working with someone on the speed bags. He looked up hearing me come in. He smiled and waved me over. “How is my girl?” He asked. I shrugged acting nonchalantly. Not like I had just ruined someone's thriving business and lost people their job. “Let me just finish up here and we can go grab a bite to eat, my treat.” I liked this side of him, it was very fatherly. “No, Rob, you always pay let me treat you just this once.” He grinned. “Wow, so my treat then.” I nodded and walked off ignoring the guy who was being coached by Rob.
I pulled my phone out while I sat in his office. I noticed some texts from Juliet and opened them. I laughed reading what she had said. Apparently, Polly had lost it on one of the kids for mocking her throw up session. And then sent me a video of it. I started laughing, served her right. I was having a great day. “See I told you; you needed a day to have fun.” Kali said amused by what she was seeing on my phone. She had been right I needed this day. There was a ton of shit all going on and I just needed a little tension relief. Apparently committing crimes, finding out I could have more friends, and laughing at a fellow cheerleader was the trick.
I sent a text to Juliet telling her thank you for the video. Then I texted Noel and told him I was sorry for his nose and jaw, and I owed him something fun. Then there was Eric. I had texted him a very naughty message, I thought would brighten his day. Everything was working out just fine. Rob walked into his office. “You ready to go kid?” He asked and I nodded enthusiastically jumping up. “So where are we going for lunch?” He asked. “I think we should go downtown and have a nice steak.” Kali was again praising me for my lack of fucks given about things. “No offense Lilith but I don’t think you have.” I held up my hand. I never wanted someone to talk about how I poor was again. “Rob, don’t, I got this, and for fucks sake never bring money up again other than you paying me for a job.” He raised his eyebrows and then we left without a word.
