Lilith

Marcus and I had a good discussion. In the end I felt that maybe Rob had been a little right and we were a kind of family. Being around him and talking to him was like talking to a brother. Not that I knew what that felt like, but I had seen Noel and Eric interact and this friendship seemed similar to that. I stood there waiting for everyone to arrive. I had sent out a mind link to those in the pack who attended the training. The number of those attending had increased since I had been challenged and won against Ferris.

Everyone lined up and I smiled looking at them. Most looked uncomfortable in what I had commanded them to wear. It was strange to see them in normal workout clothes for one. The weather had changed so I choose long sleeves for today with shorts. I would save the longer pants for when the winter set in. I had given them multiple outfits for working out. The cost made my stomach flip, but Eric said to do what I wanted with the money. The girls all wear very short spandex shorts and I had asked that today they wore there fitted long sleeves and sports bras underneath which were also given to them. Everything had a logo on them. I had a cool one printed up that had G and C on it referring to Grey Crest Pack.

Them men also had shorts that had the logo and fitted shirts that were long sleeved. There shorts were not spandex and a little longer than the women's. Of course, the three stooges didn’t care. They wore stuff like this to the gym all the time. It was much more esthetically pleasing now to see those training and it would work to their advantage not wearing extremely baggy clothes. Times would be a little faster, with better aerodynamics. Movement would be more accessible with no excessive clothing getting in the way of movements. I had seen Olympics on tv. There was a reason they wore what they did. Not to mention if everyone had a uniform, and the fact it had a logo to represented who we were, that to brought a certain kind of comradery.

I smiled as Noel leaned in and said, “Okay this shit is cool, everyone looks like a freaking bad ass.” I laughed, I thought so too. Noel then added “Black was a good choice.” I looked at those standing there. I didn’t see the need to comment to the pack about their new attire. “I have broken you down into four groups based on your level. We will all do warmups together from this point forward. You then will be dived into one of the groups. Whomever is in charge of your group has the authority to insist on additional training and whatever. You will all be tested the end of every week by me, and I will determine if you can move up to the next group level. There is no exception to this. In addition, all of you are required to now meet in front of the packhouse at 6am to shift and work with my wolf.”

I went on, “This will not be every day of course. Your group will determine what days and how many you be required to attend. I will post a schedule Sunday Night on the packhouse door. And yes, this unlike human form training will be seven days a week. If you need to be exempt for whatever reason you will mind link me and I will determine if you will be permitted to be absent. There will be no discussion on this. Now Noel, Percy, Tate, and Marcus will be the leaders of whichever group you are in. They will be color coordinated groups. Noel is blue, Percy is purple, Tate is Green, and Marcus is red. Now when I call your name and assign your group you will form a line behind your color and person running the group. After we will spread out and do warmups and then you will form back up in the four groups and begin actual training. Also, from this point forward, all training will be two hours unless you serious piss me the fuck off.”

Everyone was silent. I had a plan to do this officially, I would also meet with those four I choose to run the colored groups an hour prior to training to go over what they would be doing that day. I was making this more militant, but the pack needed this structure. I planned to not run a group but oversee it all and train with them all as well as with Eric. Since apparently, he was the only one who could keep up. Granted I had not run this by him, but with all the free time I suddenly had with: no sports, or time to travel to school, or even the length I had to be in school, since it was online. I had time to do all of this. I kind of liked that things were changing.

I knew I still would miss Juliet, but Eric was letting her visit, and if it went well, I expected to see her more often here at the pack, or at least go into the town that was somewhat close by. We could do things there, seeing as it had a lot of shops, and various other establishments. I would need to stay busy to keep Kali happy and make sure I could do some crimes but not at the pack. Kali joked in my head “We could tip cows.” What the fuck was she talking about. “It is a crime, plus I want to see what happens.” I made a face “Kali where the fuck am I going to find Cows? Not to mention that is the most stupid crime on the whole fucking planet.” I heard my wolf laughing in my head.

I began to call out the roster assigning everyone a color and then started warmups. It flowed flawlessly and I was beyond proud of myself that I had done this. I actually felt empowered that I was leading them. Maybe, I was cut out for this. A sinking feeling set in instantly though. I wondered if this is how Rob felt. Was I doing what he did. Kali cut into my thoughts “Fuck no Lilith. You have a pack you are making stronger, and it has nothing to do with you trying to get fucking ahead. Your goal is to improve everyone, so they don’t fucking die if they are attacked again. That dipshit Rob, he just wanted to use everyone he could that is why he helped them. Your intentions are noble his are self-serving.”

“Thanks Kali,” I told her in my head. But I still had that nagging feeling of being at least similar to him. I walked to the packhouse and went straight to Eric’s office. I wanted to ask him if he would train with me. I wanted to see if eventually I could best him. He had been stronger in human form as well as wolf, which Kali seemed to be butt hurt about. I also intended to tell him how everything was working out with my new strategy when it came to readiness with the pack.

When I walked in he was on the fun. His face was all scrunched up and he looked like he was sucking on something sour. I sat down on his couch and leaned my head back. I wondered who he was talking to. He was just sitting there listening. He looked at me and said hold on into the phone. Then addressing me he said, “I am going to be a while Lilith, I am sorry.” I nodded and understood, standing up I gave him a wink and walked back out of the office. I mind linked Roxie “Hey what are you up to?” I asked. “Marcus is looking for a job on one of my computers. I am doing nothing but watching TV, oh by the way, training bad ass today.” I grinned. “I thought so, anyways do you want to hang out. I think Eric is going to be a while.”

Roxie mind linked me back. “Sure, that sounds better than what I am doing.” I thought for a second. “I may have a job for Marcus, it is not the same as you know a full-time thing, but I would pay him well.” I said over the link. I suddenly got a mind link from him. Roxie had to have told him that, but as I was not there, I had not heard her tell him. “Okay what is the job?” He asked and I grinned. “I want you to supe up my ride, that Eric gave me. I want Nitrus by the way, and maybe a paint job I don’t know on that yet, but I want the thing to be a mother fucking bullet.” I knew he had to be grinning at my offer.

“You gonna race this?” Marcus asked over the mind link. “I don’t think so. I wish, I would fucking love that, but races, as you very well know are in the city and I have no intention of going there again.” He didn’t respond for a minute “Really?” I mind linked “Yes” “Well what are you going to do with a very fast car?” I thought for a second “I don’t know yet maybe I will just drive it really face, get caught by a cop then hit the nitrous and get into a high-speed chase and get away with it. Sounds like a fucking ball to me.” I knew he had to be laughing at my comment.

“Fine can you show me tomorrow the car?” I smiled telling him yes. Kali was laughing in my head, at the thought of being in a car chase. I mind linked Roxie again. “So, are you down to hang out?” She of course was cool with it. I quickly showered despite the fact I knew when I ran Kali tonight, I would need another one. I hurried downstairs to the front porch and sat down waiting for my friend. I felt the wind pick up; I could smell that rain was coming. I loved fall, and was happy it was here.
