Chapter 51

Harmony was shocked when she heard what Drake said.
"Go and tell the doctor that you will have your father undergo the surgery as soon as possible," Drake instructed her in a firm voice.
"But Drake, I don"t have that much money," she said and then she bowed her head.
"Look, Harmony. We are talking about your father here. Money can be earn but you cannot bring back your father"s life. And, I am not referring to your money, I will pay for the surgery," he said while looking at her.
Harmony could see the sincerity from the man"s face.
"No, you cannot do that," she said.
"Why I cannot? Tell me? Would your pride be more important than the life of your dad?" He said straight to her face.
She was shocked by his words. She could tell that Drake was not happy with her reaction. She knew that he just wanted to help but that was something that she couldn"t accept right away especially she didn"t know where to get the money to pay him.
She was not working, and her mom was just baking some goods. It was not even a regular income.
"You know what"s the answer, Drake. But how can I pay you?" She uttered and then looked away from him.
"Harmony, pay me whenever you can," he said which made her surprised.
Pay him whenever she could. So, is a one million really looked like a coin for Drake? She couldn"t believe that the man was doing this to her.
"Look, I am not doing it for you or for any other reason if that"s what"s running in your head, and you are having hesitation to accept my offer. Ms. Catalina had been very kind to me, and I consider this as my way of being grateful to her," he said while looking at her.
She wanted to believe him because that was what she could see from his eyes. She could see that Drake really wanted to help her.
"Thank you, Drake," she said and then she forced a smile on her face.
"It"s really not a problem. Just tell me when you need the money," he said and then to her surprised, the man pulled her closer to him. Then, he hugged her so tight.
"I know that you are in pain inside. I know that you love your parents. I know that you are so afraid while thinking what could happen to your father. I am just here, Harmony. I am here to help you wherever I can. I just want you to know that you don"t have to be alone with this battle," he whispered to her.
She felt like there was coldness that suddenly touched her heart. The tears that she had been fighting back since earlier they had been talking already fell from her eyes.
She didn"t know what to say to Drake as her chest started to tighten when she heard everything that he said to her. It was spoken in a soft and low voice, but all his words passed through her very soul.
She distanced her body from him and then she looked at him intently.
"I don"t know what I should be doing if you are not here with me right now, Drake. I don"t know how I can repay you but thank you so much for doing this," she said, and her tears continuously flow as she spoke with the man.
"It"s okay. Please, I didn"t do it to make you cry. I wanted you stop crying that"s why I did it," he said and then he kissed her in the forehead.
Harmony just let herself to be inside his arms again.
She couldn"t understand herself, but she wanted to be inside his arms. She felt comfort inside Drake"s arms. It was as if she could forget everything that she was feeling at the moment. In an instant, she felt like all her problems went away because of Drake.
She couldn"t understand himself, but she just let herself to be hug by the man. She felt that it was the best thing that she had experience for the day.
"Thank you so much, Drake. You don"t know how you made me feel okay because of it. Thank you," she said as if she was already running out of words.
The man smiled as he was looking into her face.
"Just always remember what I told you. Please make sure that you always ask me and go to me whenever you need any help. It"s not bad to ask, Harmony," he said and then he looked at her intently. "I don"t want to see you crying so if there something that I can do for you then I will be doing it."
She just smiled at him. Harmony was thankful because Drake was there. Though she felt worried because she really didn"t know how she could repay the man. She didn"t want him to think that she was abusing his kindness especially when it comes to money.
"Would you like me to come with you?" He asked her. "To the doctor and ask how soon they could book the surgery of your father," he added.
"Oh, yeah. Yes, if you want to. I hope I am not bothering you at all," she said while looking at the man.
Though sometimes she wondered why Drake was always beside her. It looked like the man was not actually working because he was always visiting her as if he was not busy at all with his life.
They both stood up from where they were sitting and they walked holding hands going to the doctor of her father.
Harmony didn"t know what she should be feeling at the moment.
She could feel her heart was beating so fast because of how Drake was holding her hand but she didn"t want to let her go at the same time.
She didn"t want to think that something had already changed between the two of them.
