Chapter 52

Drake didn"t know why but he felt like his heart was being squeezed while he was looking at Harmony. He couldn"t stand the sight that the woman was crying.
So, he told her that he could lend her money.
He had money because he was able to earn using his shares in the stock market and that was something that his family wouldn"t like to believe. They didn"t trust him but if only they could see what he could do probably, they would be surprised.
But he was not thinking about that anymore.
He knew to himself that no matter what he would be saying it wouldn"t matter for them.
It didn"t take long, and they finally arrived at the clinic of the doctor of Harmony"s dad.
"Good day, doc," Drake and Harmony said.
"Good afternoon, Doc. I just want to tell you that we want my father to be scheduled as soon as possible for his surgery.
"What do you mean? Do you have the amount that is needed?" The doctor said and her eyebrows were drawn together.
Well, she couldn"t blame her because they told her earlier that they didn"t have the amount that they were asking for the surgery.
"Yes, doc. I am Drake Villarama," Drake interrupted. "I am Harmony"s friend."
"V--- Villarama?" The doctor said and then he looked at Drake intently. "Are you the son of Sir Nelson Villarama?" She added.
Drake nodded his head and smiled at the doctor.
"Oh, I see. So, Harmony is your friend?"
"Actually, she"s my girlfriend," Drake said and then he looked at her.
"Oh," the doctor nodded her head as if she was surprised to know that she was Drake"s girlfriend. She bowed her head because she didn"t know what to say.
Drake should have not said that because she didn"t want the woman to think anything about her.
"Okay, I will get the staff informed and your dad should be ready within the next twenty-four hours," she said and then she looked at Drake. "What else do you want us to do, young master?"
"Give us a private room," he instructed.
Harmony was speechless. Why was Drake giving instructions to the doctor of her father?"
She was just listening to their conversation as she couldn"t understand what was going on. Why Drake seemed to know the woman in front of them?
"Okay, then. Let me know once everything is ready so Harmony can take a rest," he said and then he looked at her.
"Yes, young master. We will let you know once everything is already prepared," the doctor said and then she bowed her head down at Drake.
She was so confused on what was happening.
"Let"s go," Drake said and then he held her hands. She just followed him as they went out of the doctor"s clinic. She didn"t know what to say and what to think of.
She didn"t want to think that the hospital was owned by Drake"s family.
"Why are you so quiet?" Drake said and then he stopped from walking.
She shook her head. She felt like she had already run out of words so she would just let Drake to whatever he wanted. Once everything had been settled, she already decided to stop taking her masteral and instead, she would be getting a job so she could save and pay the man.
She knew that it would be a long journey so she must start doing that now.
"If you are surprised what happened back there, and probably, you are confused why I was talking like that to her, then yes, this is our family"s hospital," he said which answered the questions that was inside her head.
"But Drake, if your family would know this, they might reject the idea," she said full of worry in her face.
"Hey, I don"t think that would ever happen. My grandmother is very fond of you, and I know that she would agree with this. So, don"t worry," he said and then he touched her chin and lifted her head.
"Why do you always worry? I got this, okay? Even if they refused, I have the money to get your father a surgery so doesn"t think so much. I don"t want to see your crying," he said, and she knew that even Drake was surprised with the words that he had uttered.
"D--- Drake," she said with her eyes looking at his eyes. She wanted to ask what he meant by the words that he said. She felt like her heartbeat doubled because of what the man had said. She didn"t want to assume anything, but she couldn"t help it.
"I mean, I don"t want to see you crying because you look so ugly," he said and then they continued walking heading at the ICU.
Harmony just shrugged her shoulders. If Drake didn"t want to say anything then she wouldn"t force her. The only thing that she knew was she was happy because the man was on her side. She was thankful because he had been the way for her father to get the operation that he needed.
"Drake," she called him.
"The private room," she said when the man stopped from walking. Then, he faced her. "You really don"t have to get that. I am okay to stay at the hallway. It"s already too much."
Drake shook his head.
"Look, isn"t just you who needed to be in that room. Your mother and I would also be with you so we needed that. So you can also bring your stuff here at the hospital and you don"t have to go back and forth at your house. Harmony, do we need to talk about this again? I thought it is already clear that I am helping you not because of you but because of your mother?" Drake said while he was looking at her.
"Okay, if that"s what you wanted," she just said to end the conversation.
Though she was really baffled because of what Drake said earlier.
