Chapter 88

Drake was so excited when he got down early in the morning. He went straight to the dining room because he wanted to have breakfast first before going to Harmony"s house. He felt like he just needed to see her face and he would be back to normal. He wasn"t able to fall asleep last night when he woke up because of the call that he received from the unregistered number.
He wanted to blame everything that happened to him for the whole night to his Auntie Carmella. He felt like he had been disturbed because of the conversation that he had with his family.
As soon as he went inside of the dining room, he saw there his Auntie Carmella. She was sitting and obviously eating her breakfast. Drake didn"t know if he would just go without eating or going to the dining room and eat first. He knew to himself that he didn"t do anything wrong to her.
But Drake decided not to continue and he would just grab some drive thru meal. He turned around where he saw his grandmother heading to the dining room"s direction. It seemed that he needed to go inside so his grandmother wouldn"t notice that he was trying to avoid his Auntie Carmella.
"Good morning, grandma," he greeted her and then he kissed her on the cheeks.
"Good morning. Where are you going?" She asked while her eyebrows were knitted together.
"I am about to go at Harmony"s house. I wanted to check how she is going and her family," he said and smiled at her. "I haven"t seen her for a couple of days already."
His grandmother nodded.
"Why don"t you eat breakfast first before you go?"
"Oh, I would love to grandma but Harmony just texted me and she said her mom prepared breakfast for us," he said and he was thankful because of the reason that he thought.
"Oh, I see. You better be get going. Don"t make them wait for you," the old woman said.
"Thank you, grandma. I will see you later," he said and then he continued walking going out of the house.
It was still a bit dark outside since it was just six in the morning. He could still see that the sun"s light was orange. He could see this natural phenomenon very seldom as most of the time, he was waking up late.
He went to his car and then started to drive away from their house.
Drake kept his car window open and let the wind touched his face. He wanted to have a natural air in the morning.
He could feel it"s cold breeze.
He was smiling while driving just thinking that he would be seeing Harmony soon. He couldn"t believe that in a few days, he would be engage to the woman. He would be making a proposal to her, and he knew that he was already sure that their contract needed to end. He wanted their relationship to be for real.
Drake couldn"t explain but he knew that he had already fall in love to Harmony. He couldn"t deny it anymore because that was like making a fool out of himself. He had to be honest to himself. He had to face his true feelings or else he might be left behind especially that Paul was coming back to Harmony"s life. He couldn"t let the two get back together.
He wanted to erase that thought inside his mind but he couldn"t. For the first time in his life, Drake had feared to something and that"s for Harmony to be with somebody else.
He knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with the woman. He was willing to do everything that she ask for as long as she would say yes to him.
Though there was a part of his heart that was worrying because of the doubt. What if Harmony wasn"t feeling the same way that he was feeling for her? What would he be doing? How could he accept that?
What if Harmony was still in love with her ex-boyfriend, Paul? How could he say to the woman that it was not worth coming back to that asshole?
All of a sudden, his mind was in turmoil. He never thought that love would be this complicated. Usually, he was not the one going closer to a woman. It was usually them who was trying to get his attention. But when it comes to Harmony, from the very start, he was the one who approached her. The woman took control of her, whether he admit it or not. He willingly surrendered in everything that she liked.
Drake realized everything when he was staring at his ceiling last night when he couldn"t sleep.
He knew that there was no reason for him to hide anymore the true feelings that he had for Harmony. The more that he prolonged to hide it, the more things might get complicated. So, during his grandmother"s party, he would confess to her again what he was feeling. He knew that when he told her about what he was feeling towards her, the woman couldn"t believe it. So, he would be declaring his love for her in public.
Drake couldn"t help but feel excited for his grandmother"s party. It looked like he was more excited than his grandmother because of all the plans that were inside his head.
He had to make plans for that day. He had to make sure that he would be getting the best team to help him with the proposal. He knew that Harmony thought it was part of their contract, but it wasn"t anymore.
Last night, Drake knew that he wanted to spend his life with Harmony. She was a perfect wife for him. She"s kind and understanding. She was everything that he could ask from above. He knew that she was perfect for him because Harmony got along with his grandmother. And, he knew that his grandmother would be very happy for them.
