Chapter 95

"Thank you," Harmony said when Drake opened the door at the passenger seat next to the driver"s seat.
Drake just nodded his head and then he turned around to go to the driver"s seat.
She could feel her heart was pounding so fast. It would just be the two of them and she couldn"t imagine what would be happening to them.
It was as if there were horses racing inside her ribcage. Why all of a sudden, she was feeling this way around Drake? She never felt this weird before around the man even during the first days when they just met.
It didn"t take a while and Drake got inside the car.
His masculine smell coming from his perfume didn"t escape her nose.
"How are you?" Drake broke the silence that was between them before he inserted the key in the ignition.
"I am fine," Harmony answered and she was glad that she didn"t stammer when she spoke.
"That"s great. Don"t be shy once we are home, okay? Auntie Carmella is there but don"t mind her," Drake said as if he was already giving her a heads up who she should be expecting at the venue.
"Okay, thank you, Drake. I promised that I will seal my mouth but not when she insults me," she said to him.
"I know but yeah," he said and then he started the car. They drove away from Harmony"s place.
"Do you want music?"
"Yes, sure," she said as she nodded her head. Probably that would ease the uncomfortable feeling in the atmosphere.
Harmony couldn"t believe that she would became like this in front of Drake. It was as if she didn"t know how she would be acting in front of the man. It was like there were butterflies inside her stomach.
Drake turned the music on and she felt like she wanted to jump outside of the car because of the song that was playing.
How she wished that she just didn"t agree for the music to be on.
She could see that Drake was tapping his finger in the steering wheel as if he was enjoying the song. Harmony couldn"t tell if he was really enjoying it or if he was just pretending and he was just teasing her.
She let out a deep sigh and then she decided to look outside the window. She saw the trees on their way out of the subdivision where their home was located. She never appreciated the trees until today.
She admitted that she couldn"t figure out why she was acting so weird in front of Drake. It was as if she was afraid that the man would know what she was feeling for him.

These were the lyrics of the song that kept echoing inside her head. How could this song be so timely? Why with all the songs in that system that was the one would be playing?
Was fate playing at her again? She couldn"t believe it so she decided to close her eyes.
She knew that it would take them around twenty minutes to finally reached their destination.
She would have nothing to do anyway since she didn"t know what to say to Drake.
When the car stopped because of the red light, Drake coughed as if he was calling her attention.
But Harmony pretended like she didn"t hear him so she just kept her eyes closed.
She didn"t know what she should be saying to the man anyway so it"s better to pretend that she was sleeping.
"I don"t want to think that you are sleeping. I can see your eyeballs moving, Harmony," he said and then she just moaned.
"I don"t know what"s wrong and you have avoided me. I feel like you no longer want me to be a part of your everyday. If this is because of the feelings that I have confessed to you, then, accept my apology. I am so sorry, Harmony. But what my heart says is true. I know deep inside me that I love you so much," Drake said even if her eyes were closed.
Then it didn"t take a while after Drake spoke, she felt the car moving again.
She wanted to open her eyes but she didn"t know what she should be saying to the man.
Should she say that she love him as well? Or should she wait for a bit time so she could be sure about it? She admitted that she had a trauma because of how Paul left her all alone at the café where she met the rude and overconfident Drake who was confessing his love for her at the moment.
"I hope that we can still go back at the time that we are still okay. I feel bad and I should have not confessed what I am feeling for you. You are near and yet so far. I feel like I have already lost you because of everything that is happening. I don"t have any other intention when I told you about what I feel for you," he continued. "I know that you are awake and you can hear me as I am saying these words."
Harmony didn"t know if she would be pretending that she was sleeping or if she would open her eyes.
In the end, she chose to open her eyes because she knew that she couldn"t escape from Drake. The man could get his perfect time for everything that he was saying tonight since she couldn"t also go home without Drake. Her mother said to her that there would be no other person that would be dropping her by except for Drake.
Harmony couldn"t help but shook her head because of that.,
"I am sorry, Drake if I cannot answer you now but what I can promise is that, everything that is precious is worth waiting for."
