Chapter 73

Drake decided to leave Harmony and Miss Catalina at the hospital. He knew that the family needed some time together and to respect their privacy, he decided to leave for the time being. Though he had made sure that he told Harmony to call him whenever she needed any help.
He was just hoping that Paul wouldn"t show up while he was away from them.
He shook his head. He couldn"t be calm and confident that the man wouldn"t cause any trouble. He took his mobile phone from his pocket and then dialled a number.
"Hello, Arthur," he said as soon as the call got connected.
"Hi, bro. What"s up?" He responded to him. "Do you have a work for me?"
"Actually, yes. Can you send two bodyguards in our hospital?" He said to his friend and then he gave the details of the room and everything that they needed to know Harmony and her family. "But bro, you have to make sure that they would be keeping their distance. I don"t like Harmony to know that I am keeping an eye on her. I know that she wouldn"t like what I am doing but I cannot just simply leave her all alone knowing that dumb asshole can come any time," he said as he gritted his teeth because of the anger that he was feeling for Paul.
He heard Arthur chuckled.
"You must really love her," he commented.
"Silly. Just do what I ask," he said and then their call ended. Arthur was his classmate but because the man was so fond watching detective movies and reading stories, he ended up have an agency himself.
But this was the first time that he hired him for work. Even when his mother was gone, he never asked for help.
He couldn"t even understand to himself why he needed to do it. He couldn"t explain why there was something inside him that saying that he needed to protect Harmony by all means.
He let out a deep sigh and then he started the engine of his car. Probably, he would go home and then he would start looking for an engagement ring for Harmony. In two weeks" time, it would be his grandma"s birthday party so he had to be prepared ahead of time.
He shook his head because of all the thoughts that were running inside his head. How on earth that he was actually acting as if he was a real boyfriend for Harmony? Had he gone mad? He felt like he was really going to marry the woman and he found himself looking forward for the future with her.
"You are silly, Drake," he uttered to himself. He couldn"t be in love with her because they had been very clear in their contract that they couldn"t fall in love to each other. That was one of their agreements and on top of that even if Harmony wouldn"t say it, she still loved Paul and he wouldn"t want himself to get hurt because of the man.
He was on his way heading to the Villarama residence when he suddenly heard his phone ringing. He pulled over on one side and answer it. He doesn"t usually answer call when he was driving. He was afraid to lose his focus on the road.
"Hello," he answered. It was Arthur who was calling him.
"Hi, bro. I have already my men monitoring your girlfriend"s safety. So, they have seen this Paul," he said which made him hit the steering wheel. He couldn"t believe that he hadn"t been away from the family for an hour and yet the man was already there again.
"So, what do you want us to do?"
"What is he doing there? Is he talking to Harmony?"
"Well, one of the bodyguards said that Harmony"s mother let him in," Arthur said which made his eyebrows drawn together. Miss Catalina was a kind woman, and he knew that she just didn"t want to be rude to Paul that"s why she let him in.
"It"s okay. Just monitor if he would be doing anything that would hurt Harmony or if he would be causing any problem. Please, Arthur don"t lose your eye on him," he said. After giving few instructions to the man. They finally ended the call.
He wanted to turn around and go back to the hospital but in the end, he decided to just go home. He didn"t want Harmony to wonder why he was there when he said that he would be coming back tomorrow.
Paul was persistent and he couldn"t understand what he really wanted from Harmony after he dumped the woman. There must be something that happened that"s why he wanted to be with Harmony.
With the threat that he uttered and how desperate he looked; he could feel that something was going on.
He drove a bit faster so he could go home in a short period of time. He decided to call Arthur again so he could get someone to check everything that Paul had been doing for the past weeks that he broke up with Harmony. He knew that he needed to do something so that he would stop seeing Harmony.
Drake knew that he shouldn"t be doing everything that he was doing at the moment but he couldn"t simply help it.
He couldn"t deny anymore the strange emotions that starting to grow inside him.
Since that day that Harmony defended him and he could see the sincerity in her eyes, there was nothing else that he wanted to do but to protect her and make her happy.
He could still remember the glow in her eyes when they had their first date and even if it was not a real date for her, he was so happy.
If only he could tell her what exactly he was feeling for her, he had already done. But, he didn"t want their friendship to be ruined. He didn"t want her to distance herself from him.
