Chapter 105: The Search for Him

Amaris POV

I shuddered, swallowing hard and closing my eyes, feeling as though I was in a confined space having nowhere to turn.

When I spur my eyes open, he was there staring at me, his hot look lingers around my face.

"I don't need everything; sex and money isn't love!" I barked back as he grabbed my hair, I smacked his hand away.

He widened his eyes at me, raising his hand as though he'd hit me but I punched him on the face.

That was a mistake! Shit. His face swirl and he threw it back at me, growling at me.

He trapped to grab me and I punched his throat. What am I doing? I was acting on impulse.

He gaggled, rubbing his throat and I ceased that opportunity to stand up and paced away from his reach.

"I deserve some respect!" I added fuming in my heart and suddenly feeling like a fighter when I was really nervous.

He scoffed at me, unbelievably, rising from his seat, rubbed his face and cursed at me.

I raised my hand again but he grabbed it, I tried to use the second one and he grabbed it too.

I closed my eyes tightly, expecting a hit but his lips pressed against mine, drawing me closer to him as he kissed mw ardently.

I felt hot, my body reacting to quickly to his electrify shock. If I wasn't mistaken, I told him sex wasn't everything, why was he doing this to me?

I couldn't breath either as he was taking my breath away. When he terminated the kiss, he placed his palms on my cheeks, staring into my eyes.

"What do I do to make you stay?" He asked and I widened my eyes, rush of emotions flooded inside me.

Did he really ask me that? I flickered my lashes, my eyelid drool as I gulped hard.

His tone was passionate, like he was suddenly having his regret or perhaps I was just exaggerating.

"Would you do anything I ask for?" I asked, gazing into his eyes not wanting to doubt his words or think of the conversation that led to this.

Kate's POV

I miss him, his touch, having restless nights just because of him and I couldn't believe he forgot about me because of that girl.

She can't stay with him, if only she knows his darker side. I had proposed of he'd be staying with her, then I wanted my territories back.

However, he isn't willing to give her up yet he doesn't call that love but a feeling he keeps denying.

My eyes lowered at his picture on my phone and I inhaled deeply. He'd anything for her.

He barely does anything for me except the fact that he pleasures me that way I wanted.

I could see it in his eyes, the way he stares at her but she'd definitely run away when he starts hitting her.

They wouldn't last long; I was sure of that. Lately, I haven't heard anything regarding them and I was freaking out.

My informant haven't given me any information regarding her and it pisses me off that they might be having their honey moon somewhere God knows where.

I was growing impatient, sick and craving his presence, not even his line was connecting and that makes me feel bad.

Wanting to leave the house, I wore something casual to walk around and just get my act together.

While I paced around an alley, taking corners into corners, I accidentally bumped into someone.

My head banged on this stranger's chest and the smell of cologne stuck my nose as I winced my eyes at who it might have been.

I raised my head slowly and met warm brow eyes, he was wearing a hoodie and jean.

I've seen this face before and he had a resemblance to Caleb.

"Are you hurt?" He calmly asked and my eyes shoot up. He'd know about Caleb’s whereabout!

Just to make him stay, I winced and fell to the ground. He seems startled as I laid my head, screaming.

He gnashed his teeth, puzzled and frozen to a spot as he must be stunned to realize that I was putting on an act.

"I broke a leg!" I panicked sneakily staring at him as he turned to and fro, with a frantical move towards me.

I pretended not to move, placing my palms on my forehead and kicking the ground, whimpering and rolling.

"Excuse me?" He called but I ignored him.

"Ma'am I didn't do that!" He pressed on and I screamed the more that some passerby had to come to my attention.

I gulped the ice-cream while his eyes perch on me like hawk. My body aches for real after that fall to attract him.

He had carried me in his arms to head to the clinic but I told him I’d prefer an ice-cream shop.

"So, what do you want from me" he asked not seeming interested to have a taste of his ice-cream and so I decided to help him.

It seems as though he could read me and knew I didn't use this trick for some ice-cream.

"Where's Caleb?" I began and he smirk at me, rolling his eyes like that was a difficult one to answer.

"What are you? His mistress of some sort?" He asked with a frown as he dragged the ice bowl from me.

It turns out he'd want to chew down the balls.

"Answer me"

"Why don't you ask him" he replied, still calm and keeping his eyes on the ice-cream.

He's being rude and I'm trying to keep calm even though he was acting nonchalant.

"Let me give you some piece of advice, forget about him, he has someone else" he said and stood up intending to leave but I stood up too.

"I don't need that, just tell me where he is" I mused forgetting I was the calm and sweet Kate who certainly had been Caleb's heart.

He ignored me, claiming I was just obsessed and I shouldn't think his brother wants me.

That pisses me up as I took my bowl of ice-cream and threw it at him. I was boiling in anger watching how the cold icy liquid slide on his back.

"What was that for!" He questioned throwing his face at me.

His brows pulled together; he was angry but it looks as he was smiling with those dimples stuck on his cheeks.

He couldn't even lose his temper. I folded my arms, glaring into his eyes.

"Take me to Caleb"

He scoffed, trying to reach out to the spill at his back and he took a napkin to do that but he wasn't getting the spot right and I wouldn't help him.

"I got other matters on my table right now, stop bothering me random girl" he cussed beckoning on me to stay away.

He annoyingly threw the napkin on the table, walked away and slammed the door.

I could still see the stain on his back and I hurriedly rushed after him. He shouldn't leave, judging from his expression, he knew but wouldn't tell me.

When I got out, it turns out he was gone.
