Amaris's POV
While I was trying to give her comfort, the doorbell suddenly rang and I was lazy to pick it up.
However, I stood up to respond to it only to be held back by Mia.
"Don't open it, it might just be my ex"
She was quite right but then it was her fiance that brought her over, I doubt if her ex had started stalking her.
"Okay...let me just check who it is" I said as the first by the door seems persistent.

There he was with Flynn. He had opened the door while we were arguing. At first, I thought it was a dream but flynn was really here.
He had a piteous look at me as though sorry for ghosting me while his feet tread closer to me with Aaron in his arms.
"I just hope I didn't make you wait that long" he whispers in a sober tone and I breath softly.
Mia released her hold from my hand and embraced him with tears. I couldn't control it.
My heart thuds as I exhaled deeply burying my head on his chest.
"Don't ever do that again Flynn" i whispered and he scoffed.
"I won't, at least not to my Aaron" he said kissing Aaron on the cheek and kissing me on the forehead while we chuckled.
However, we couldn't share in the joy because of Mia.
"Hey Mia" Flynn called terminating the embrace and moving towards Mia.
"Hi Flynn" she responded beneath her breath. I could tell he knew something was wrong.
Flynn dropped Aaron and gave him a package bag.
"Hey hero, why don't you check these out in your room, i'd come to you" he addressed Aaron who nodded and carried the package with him upstairs to his room.
Once he was out of sight, Flynn shoved his gaze at us.
"I just hope this isn't the wrong timing" he began and Mia scoffed, her face brightens.
She was looking more alive whenever Flynn was around, it's just a feeling I also get, feeling so safe around him.
"So who broke this hot villainess heart?" He added taking his seat opposite us and we both rolled our eyes.
"It's more than a heartbreak" I said, introducing the discussion while I took my seat.
Mia rubbed her forehead and blew out air.
"Someone's stalking me"
"That's huge" he responded rising up from his seat and strolling towards the fridge.
He took a bottle water and returned to us while gesturing to Mia to continue.
"Who's the guy let me track him down" he added and I felt quite impressed with his response.
"No don't he is dangerous..."
"I think I need to introduce myself to him too" he cuts in gulping the water and I gazed at his Adam's apple.
The bit of water that slipped out of his lips, I wish to wipe it off with my tongue. He cleaned his mouth and returned his gaze at her.
"He don't mean any harm though...he just well wants his kid that's all" she added and he threw his eyes at me.
I only shrugged my shoulders feeling shy and tensed because this was new to me.
He pinned his fingers together and gestured on Mia to look him straight in the eyes.
His composure and how he handles the whole scenario was enthralling that I only wondered into a fantasy world with him in it.
He was acting like a charming detective who would protect her at all cost.
"I know it hurts Mia to talk about the past but it's fine we know about it just so it can guide us to finding this child"
While he speaks, I only nodded even though nothing of what he was saying registers in my head.
"I abandoned the child at an orphanage" her voice drew me back to reality and I rolled my eyes at her.
"Can you recall this uhmm orphanage?" He continues and she rubbed her forehead the more, quite tensed.
She closed and then spur her eyes open while sitting properly.
"Well, I don't know if it's in existence though but we could look up on it" she said and Flynn heaved a relief.
He was going to be of a good help, I know of it.

After the much conversation with Mia, she left for home even though I was persistent that she stays with me.
It was agreed that we'd start the search in three days time and I was thrilled for it.
Although I was curious to know if this would work out fine but then, I just wanted to stay positive.
She didn't give his name to Flynn which means she'd want to protect her ex too.
Here I was again, with Flynn at my balcony, late. He had put Aaron to sleep before coming to meet me here.
"So Mr ghost, why did you chose to come today?" I said and he leaned his body on the rail of the balcony snickering.
His hot gaze settled on me and I folded my lips drinking every features of his face.
"I was missing someone and she keeps calling out to me"
I let out an upside down smile feeling as though he was joking.
"It's so unfair after that incident, I was worried sick and you didn't say a word, you just vanished, cool" I snapped feeling offended.
He threw his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him. My heart melted as my body sticked to his.
