Chapter 162: With you

Amaris's POV

"hey, amaris" he called almost embracing me but I pointed at mia who was retching out her drink.

I felt disgusted but had to rub her back to do her thing. Flynn helped me get her to the car and placed her in the passenger's seat.

I sat at the front, just staring at the rear mirror until Flynn joined in. I was pissed off over what took him long.

He had asked me if I was hurt. I wasn't but then my heart was because I wanted him to show up.

"I literally searched every bar for you amaris"

"I texted you the address" I defended taking out my phone from the pocket to show it to him.

Perhaps it was because I didn't see him around that whosoever saved me looked like Caleb.

No, I was mistaken, it can't be him.

"What? You sent nothing amaris" he pointed out, and I drew my phone scream to my face.

He was right, I didn't send the message to him neither did it go through.

I must have been too occupied with following mia everywhere that I thought...argh, this is so embarrassing.

"I'm sorry" I said stressed out and then belched. Oh please stop.

He grinned at me and then stroke my back gently.

"It's just a mistake, you look really stressed out" he proposed and I just rubbed my forehead and nodded.

I was really worked up, mostly about the argument with mia before she passed out.

"I just need to rest, tomorrow's another day" i said and he kissed me on my forehead while returning his gaze to the route he was taking.

Arriving at our lodge, I lazily moved to the bathroom to wash up. The incident of today wouldn't leave my head easily but I believe when I wake up, I'd definitely become myself.

***

"Arghh" I yelled trying to stretch my body on the bed and I rolled to and fro.

A loud yawn escape my lips as I squint my eyes. My head throbs and gosh it was certainly because of the alcohol.

I winced jerking up from the bed, my body staggered towards the door and I spur it open.

The first person I met was mia struggling to move her legs too.

We looked like two homeless beggars following the aroma of the hangover soup downstairs.

"Hey, amaris" she growl placing her both hands on her waist while I bent slightly, pulling my legs step by step.

I gave her no response as I was still offended by her words last night and she owns me an apology.

"Last night, I shouldn't have said that but you know how I speak" she added, her feet taking each step calculatively while her hand grasp on the banister.

I also did the same thing at the other end, just that I was faster than her. My eyes were still drowsy and I wasn't seeing clearly.

Not until I got to the dinning table that I saw him. Dressed as a chef, radiant and so alluring that if I were asked to eat anything, I'd pick him.

I smiled sheepishly, clasping my hands together and throwing my head to the sky as though I was saying a prayer.

Yes of course, I got to meet him in my life and no one would come in-between us.

Just as I had muttered that prayer, mia came in between as she gasp, running her feet like a child to the dining table.

He was busy taking out baked bread, acting like a dad who wants to spoil his two kids.

How charming of him.

I guess she has all the strength now because of how energetic she looked.

"Oh my Flynn, you look hot!" She complimented taking her spoon to gulp a mouthful of soup.

She turned her lips to and fro and then clapped.

"This is heaven" she added and I threw my hands up as she was too dramatic for the morning.

Flynn winked at me and I shyly insert my invisible stranded hair in between my ear.

"Hey cupcake" he called and I moved my body closer to where he stood. I kissed him on the cheek and he grinned.

"I would prefer it on the lips..."

"Hello, just get yourselves a room" mia interrupted and I licked my lower lip subconsciously while taking my seat beside him.

My headache has to leave because I was beside him.

"Any news yet?" Mia questioned stretching her arms and gulping down the soup like a glutton.

She had even gone to serve herself extra round while Flynn's early morning look was filling up my stomach.

"Yes, just a clue, but I don't think we can start the travel today, you girls still look wasted" he pointed out and we both placed our head on the table, exhausted.

"How do we know if they're there?" Mia said obviously, her voice sounded as though she had given up and was barely hanging on the last strand of hope.

I inhaled and then bluff.

"I believe they are"

"Here comes the motivational speaker"

"I believe amaris" Flynn supported and I stick out a tongue at mia, that I had someone who would defend me.

She rolled her eyes and pointed her middle finger at me.

Mia raised her head to look at Flynn who stared back at her with a bright eyes that I just wanted to lay in between and have him look at only me.

He shouldn't look at every woman that way because it seems as though they are the only thing that matter in the world.

His enchanting eyes that seems seductive, every time he looks at someone.

"I got some spies to track their location and they'd get back to me soon, don't freak out mia, we'd get through this together" he assured with a serious gaze at her.

I didn't like that look from mia, I placed my hand on his thighs, scratching my fingers and he gulped.

"What would I have done without you Flynn" he confused and I was getting irritated.

Her eyes searches his, my eyes gazed at her breasts, her nipples were pointed out.

Her voice like she was seducing him. She was doing this on purpose to gain his attention.

Nothing of what they were discussing matters, my fingers needed to do some hastily things.

I trailed my hand to his zipper and drew down. My hand almost grabbed his cock when he held my hand.

"Amaris" he laughed unsettled where he sat but I just wanted mia to know that he belongs to me and no one else.
