Chapter 183 The sudden guest 2
Mia's POV
I ran as quick as I could, breathing hard as though my life depended on this and when I got to the door, I steadied my breath and took a glimpse at the curved stairway.
I was nervous, hoping I don't get caught, not today. I wasn't myself after that ardent kiss that got me dizzy and almost missing a step if Caleb hadn't caught me.
Even while walking away from me, I could still feel his eyes heavy on me, his grin.
He was just staring and I had to beg him to stay indoor. If he meets amaris, he definitely forget about me, he is just like Flynn, they'd want to fuck me like a whore but their heart belongs to amaris.
The doorbell rang again and I quickly spur the door opened. Just as I expected, amaris and Aaron standing outside with gifts.
"Mia" she called spreading her arms to embrace me and I faked a smile. Aaron joined in the embrace and after terminating it, I welcomed them inside.
"What a surprise" I muttered as they took their sit on the couch in the cityroom however, Aaron being who he is runs around the whole place.
"Careful Aaron, you shouldn't run" I reminded moving to the fridge to get them soft drinks.
I took a glimpse at her, she was gazing around, her mood sober and I could feel it, this place reminds her of him, Caleb, every design is just pictured as his past.
However, he doesn't remember anything but I'd make him remember you amaris because you deserve more than that cheat Flynn.
That's because amaris and Caleb are soulmate and are bound to meet someday but not when I'm around.
"So someone decided to spend the days with her fiance without informing me, nice play Mia" she began and I swallowed hard, my eyes scrolled around if perhaps Caleb was around the corner, I suspect him.
"It was a surprise too, you know how he can be"
"But he invited us over, can I see him?" She furthered as I walked to her with a pack of fruit juice.
"He went to work, busy stuff like that"
"Awnn, so that makes it us two, can't he just leave that aside even here?"
"You should know him, he adores his work more than me, but then it's okay" I responded in between my teeth and nervous.
She placed her palm on my shoulder and smiled while I placed my back on the couch.
She poured herself a glass of juice and same for Aaron who she called to take his but he carried his glass around, complimenting the luxury of this place.
"Don't freak out but...I want to ask, imagine if Caleb was alive"
The glass in her hand fell and she shuddered. Damn it! She bent low to pick the broken glasses and when I look up at the balcony, I could see Caleb hiding at a corner and watching us from upstairs.
He has concerns in his eyes as he pants softly.
"Are you hurt?" He gestured in signs and I shook my head while beckoning on him to leave.
Amaris roses her head and he faded away.
"I'm sorry" she whispered intending to trash the broken glasses but I took it from her and then swallowed.
"I'd trash it" I requested while placing a piteous gaze at her. I could understand, even mentioning his name still brings memories.
She tries so forget about him but her eyes wouldn't lie. I felt so bad lying to her. They should meet.
The worse is the fact that he has seen her but doesn't even react or act like there's a connection or he would have stalked her too.
I took the broken pieces and trashed it in the bin, then I swept the tiny pieces.
"I'm sorry I brought him up" I muttered but she shook her head and then faked a smile.
"It's okay, and regarding your question, I don't think I'd want to go back because...I love Flynn"
Don't love him, I don't think he respects her because if he did, he wouldn't have tried fucking me.
"For real? But I thought you love him"
"Mia please, don't bring up the dead, it's not worth it" she muttered rising up from the couch.
"Can I use the restroom?" She requested and I melted where I stood.
"Yeah...let me lead you"
"You don't need to follow me, you got to put an eye on Aaron or he'd break everything apart" she pointed out and I fluttered my eyes at her.
Please, Caleb stay in your room.
She heaved a sigh and I bite my teeth, hoping and praying hard.
"Just upstairs, take the left corner and there is the restroom" I directed feeling more pressed that she is.
Aaron was playing around the window, he always feels free when he is around me but I need to keep an eye on him nonetheless just so he'd not run around and collapse.
"Hey Mia, can I please see the garden? I loved the view on our way here" he requested even though my eyes were pasted on the stairway.
She's not coming out. What's wrong with me? It's not like she's flash that would be done in a second.
Aaron grabbed my hand, swirling to and fro.
"Please Mia, I promise not to run around" he assured and I shifted my gaze at him.
"Okay but can we wait for your mom just so we could check it out together..."
"No!" He cuts in and began to race towards the exit door and I followed him.
He was more stressing than ever and at this rate, I might pass out. Once he opened the door to his freedom, he ran out with a yell, heading towards the garden.
He seems excited, gazing at the flowers. If only he knew his father was the one who raised the garden.
I smiled at him, quietly watching him and joining him to name the flowers. Amaris can take care of herself but she just shouldn't meet Caleb.
